Maybe I got the wrong thing but this place was a big MEH… Shady guy in a trench coat lingering in the kitchen area – was he the owner? My food all tasted the same…

I eat here probably once per week. This place is excellent. Most of the menu options cost $ 10 — and for that price, you get a generous amount of food AND a drink. The food is very high quality. I highly recommend the falafel, the gyro, and the chicken schwarma. I studied abroad in Israel/Palestine, so I know what good Middle Eastern food tastes like. This is it.

I really like this place. There’s nothing fancy about it, has a fast food feel, but the quality is superb! I’ve been here for a variety of meals and I haven’t had one complaint. The prices are reasonable and the selection is good. The service can be a little slow, but it’s because they take their time making the food, not because they’re rude or careless. Overall, I think it’s a good choice.

I’ve dined in and carried out from this place a few times now and it has always been EXCELLENT. It’s priced very fairly. You get large portion sizes. The chicken is incredibly moist and tender. You get hummus, salad, and rice all with the chicken dinner and a drink of your choice for under $ 10. Their menu is small and limited, but everything on it is good! Great falafel is great. Also, their kafta is good. It’s a mixture of beef and chicken. This really is an unassuming spot, but worth a try for sure!

Nice little hidden gem if you are in the lame lkvw area! It’s like a Mediterranean burrito joint is the best way to describe it. Before you jump the gun I’m not comparing a burrito to a shwarma wrap but essentially great food being served where you normally wouldn’t bring a date that you are trying to impress. Lol. Owner is always here and super cool. He’s a one man show but well worth the wait!

Great middle eastern food close to my place! The pits was actually warm and fresh! I loved the food here! It’s a small place, nothing fancy at all. Perfect for a quick bite of fresh and yummy goodness. There was a lot of food for the price and I loved the sauces they gave in the side apart from the hummus– some mayo based sauce(the one in orange) and the red dice is the spicy sauce– I totally loved it! I had he chicken shawarma sandwich and the falafel plate. I am sure I am consign back here for Reginald take outs. Also, I feel this place is probably better for take outs.

This place is GREAT! It’s one of those Mediterranean restaurants that is just a gem. You order at the counter, and there’s one big menu plastered above the register with photos of the food. My coworker and I randomly walked in one day, and we are so glad that we did. I ordered the chicken with cilantro and mojo sauce, and he got a gyro sandwich. We both were so pleased! The man brought out hummus with WARM pita, to start, which was great. I love traditional hummus. Then the food came out. My chicken was over yellow rice with a small salad and veggies. Good lord, there was so much of it for the cheap price! Everything was so fresh. I loved it all! My friend loved his sandwich, as well. Said it was perfect. We ended up chatting briefly with the man at the counter, who said he was the owner. Nice man. Good food. I will most definitely we back.

I’m not quite sure this place is rated so highly. I went at around noon on a Saturday and was really empty. I tried the sharma plate and kefta kabob plate and both with very flavorless. We ordered out and they neglected to give us any yogurt sauce or tahini. Which probably would have help. The sharma was very plain and the kefta kabob was very chew. The humus was also plain and rice was very different and not long grain. It didn’t really fit at a Mediterranean restaurant. I live very close to this place was really hoping this could be a regular spot but there was nothing special about it. The higher than average price definitely seals the deal. I don’t think I will be coming back

Awesome. Had #4. Grilled chicken, rice, veggies. Amazing hummus and pita. These guys go the extra mile. Imagine I dream of falafel but 1000000 times better and more choices :)

I was walking around late one night looking for good food when I stumbled on this place with my boyfriend. The sign is modest, as are the pictures. I was not expecting much other than a cheap place for Mediterranean food. I ordered the Kifta plat. My food was out quickly with no hassle, and came with 2 sides and a drink of my choosing(my meal totaled around 10 dollars) The meat was juisy and cooked perfectly right, it was an absolute dream. On top of that, the service was excellent. The man at the front, who I assume was the owner, was gracious, kind, and friendly. Overall a wonderful, affordable experience in Lakeview.

Tasty falafel, rice, and hummus. I had the combination platter and couldn’t even finish it there was so much food! The chicken and beef were just okay. I’ll go back for more falafel for sure.

Bethlehem. A place where the prepared meals look like the pictures on the menu board. This is my story… While strolling the area for food options, I stumbled across this well lit corner location. As I peeked in, I was immediately drawn to the appearance of the food on someone’s plate. After spending a few minutes convincing myself that only one meal was needed for my party of one, I decided on the Chicken Schwarma sandwich. Sandwich? Yes, it is called a sandwich. Sandwich as in chicken in a pita pocket. The other Schwarma options are a wrap or a plate. I like wraps and I love rice and probably should have skipped the bread fest but felt I would be missing out if I didn’t have a fresh pita pocket. So I chose the pita/sandwich. Moving on from that — – the chicken sandwich meal includes a can beverage along with the option of a salad or fries. I chose the tomato cucumber salad and it was delicious. A few details… The meal was made to order but it only takes a few minutes. No chicken out the warmer slapped into a pocket over here. Also, the meat is halal so those requiring same can enjoy meals here too. The restaurant is also very clean which was a welcomed change of scenery from most small take out establishments. Last thoughts… I liked everything about Bethlehem and my only wish is that I lived in closer proximity to it. Guess I will have to settle for stops when in the area. If you live close by, frequent the area or are hanging out in the area for Pride this weekend, you should check this place out.

Wooo! This place just keeps getting better. My new favorite menu item is the grilled chicken sandwich. Oh my is it delicious. Get it in a pita, never had the wrap. No need! The hours have changed and they are no longer open until 4am. Unfortunately :( PIGOUT! it’s delightful. The lentil soup is amazing and so is the Bethlehem salad. mmmmmm

Was just in the neighborhood & stopped in for lunch. First off, this place is the CLEANEST eating establishment that I have EVER been to! The food is great! They prepare it all when you order and you can definitely tell the owner(who is the chef/cook) takes pride in his food and his restaurant. I had the falafel wrap which was amazing and the price was very reasonable/cheap especially since it came with a canned/bottled beverage of your choice and a fresh salad! I will be coming here more often!

Happy that this place has opened so close to me! The owner was a little funny — he was trying to take my order and couldn’t hear me. He realized he had to take out his earbuds(he was on the phone) so he could take our order… lulz. Regardless, friendly service and he made our food fresh! The store and bathroom were both very clean. The only thing I didn’t like was that our hair and clothes kind of(definitely) smelled like fried food after we left. If this kinda stuff bugs you, just take out! I got the beef shwarma, my mom got the gyro sandwich, and we shared fries. Everything was great and the portions were huge. I’ll definitely be back!!!

So I came back and tried the kifta kabob plate. Kifta is essentially seasoned ground beef patties. Three kifta kabobs on a bed of rice, side of hummus, side of tomato/cucumber salad, and pita. First, the kifta is very flavorful(there were spices I couldn’t identify but tasted great) and moist. The rice was soft and delicous with each bite of kabob. The salad was refreshing and light. The hummus is good — I like the whole chick peas on top as garnish. $ 9 and change. The food tastes like it’s freshly made. At the end, I ordered a 6 piece falafel because of the reviews. Falfafel comes with 1 pita and side of tahini. The falafel is crisp, flavored well, slightly spicey, and was great with tahini. $ 4 and change.

Great service and great food. Great serving size for your dollar. Everything I have tried so far has been really well-made. Eat here. This place deserves to do well. The combo plate with beef, lamb, and chicken is outstanding.

This place opened around the corner from me not too long ago(or I’ve somehow overlooked it the past 6 months) so I strolled in to give it a shot. I ordered a Gyro. I have to say I was pretty impressed. The meat was flavored and cooked perfectly(I’ve been twice now and great both times) and the vegetables and ingredients inside were all very fresh. The kid running the cash register doesn’t speak much english so be prepared to point and tell him what number you want, but who cares. Seems like a good family owned spot and so far they’re doing what they set out to do and cooking great food.
