Best bloody Mary’s!!! Our server Maya was amazing very knowledgeable, and pleasing to the kids . It’s my third time. A review way overdue. I felt confident that the food was going to blow their mind away. This place is even more amazing at night. The coolest and modern décor it’s what captivated me. Like I said I have been here before and yesterday when I took my girlfriend and her two daughters for lunch for their first time. I knew they would love it. Mac& Cheese to die for ! The chef burger was sizzling and perfectly cooked. We had a kale salad and a salmon Caesar. My FAVORITE so far the lobster ravioli with fresh pasta, melted in my mouth and felt at ease with digestion. That’s a great indicator that the food was fresh!

Nice place, comfortable cozy, food took over 45 minutes. Ordered first drink, no ingredients, then ordered again and still was not properly made, then they ran out of wings when the food was finally served

This place is absolutely amazing. My boyfriend and I were visiting from Texas and stumbled upon Bellwether after a night out in Chicago. This place has an amazing location, is open late(including their bar AND kitchen), and the food is delicious. We got the fish and chips and the Greek Salad. The fish and chips was amazing and was perfect drunk food. The Greek Salad was very fresh and flavorful. The ambience has a very chill late night feel and the service was great. Definitely recommended!

Great food! Service is fast and decent. No wait even after a trade show of 30,000 let out. Menu had a great selection. The Shirt Rib Poutine is a great appetizer!

The service here was not very good. My server only came by twice. Once to take the order and once to drop the check. I ordered a salad and a steak and when they came out at the same time runner offered to keep it warm. When it came back out it was dry… The asparagus was cooked unevenly, the top was crispy and the bottom was rock hard and hardly cooked. I have been sitting with an empty Diet Coke for 2⁄3 of the meal. It’s not very crowded in here other than one large party and a handful of other tables. It’s a nice looking restaurant though.

The Bellwether is exactly A-OK. As a whole, It’s not bad at all yet not outstanding. I’ve been to the establishment twice, and both visits were about the same«A-Ok». The food is decent, and the service is good. The staff makes you feel very welcome and they are extremely attentive. The space is perfect if you’re hungry and in the area. It’s also a good follow up after a movie, bowling, or games at FTW that are all right down the street.

The Hunch Punch is my favorite cocktail! It has moonshine and various sweet juices. Definitely a great drink for those that like a sweeter taste. Served in a mason jar! Their drink menu was very appealing to me, many great options for different types of people. I love their cocktail selections.

I came to dinner here with my friend before we went to a movie. I expected the location to be full of people but other then the bar we were the only ones upstairs. The location looks really nice and they made a lot of improvements from the bar that was here before. At times it felt like I was in Vegas at one of their restaurants. The service was a little slow but I think its because they had to bring the food from downstairs? It did the job of feeding us before the movie, but was not so memorable that I would return for the food.

Really cool dining room that looks very modern and fancy, almost like a club — they even play some house music in the background at a comfortable volume. We went here for dinner on a Friday night and left very satisfied. They have glasses of wine for $ 8 and an ok margarita for $ 10. Our server was friendly and helped us decide on the entrees. We had the short rib($ 22) and gnocchi($ 16). The short rib was really good and a great value as it was huge — it came with like 4 pieces if meat, a large serving of polenta, and lots of green beans. I’ve had many short ribs in the city, and this one was at the top in both taste and value. The gnocchi was also quite tasty although I thought the portion size could have been a little bigger. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here, and the menu is huge with lots of other good looking options such that we will most likely be returning soon.

Pretty decent. Bar staff are very polite and leave you alone. Sometimes I like a chat(solo business traveler), sometimes I like to catch up on whatever my smart phone has to offer. If I want the latter I will come here. Food was fine — typical high end bar food with prices to match. Not my thing but they have a very extensive bar. Staying at Lowes hotel or Sheraton this is a good bet. AMC movie theatre is next door.

I came here on a Saturday evening to grab dinner & drinks with a friend. The restaurant was not packed so we were seated immediately. Customer service: Good, no complaints really. Atmosphere: Décor was nice. Seating was spacious. Diverse age range. Food Salmon special — eh. Not that great. More of an ideal place possibly for just drinks, not necessarily food. or maybe I just ordered a mediocre item from the menu.

The two-story restaurant was perfect for my large family(30) of us. A mix of communal tables, booths and a bar, plus a private dining area with its own TV. Crystal lighting hangs from the ceiling, with a hand-sculpted koi pond and glass-and-ceramic staircase adding decorative flair. The menu is diverse, it includes pork belly with fried oysters, lamb burgers and tuna crudo which you can enjoy with a local beer or something from the extensive wine or whiskey list. I got out of there having shown everyone a good time w/o breaking the bank.

Truly a horrendous experience both food-wise and service-wise. Mid-afternoon, place mostly empty: it took the 3 of us 10 minutes until a server helped us and after 40 minutes, we still didn’t have our sandwiches so we asked them to make them to go. The server apologized and said she had no idea why the kitchen was being so slow today. I ordered truffle fries and a veggie burger. The truffle fries were bland. We decided they only had a drop of truffle oil left and were trying to be frugal. The veggie burger was a mash of beans and no taste. The veggie burger came with a side of fries itself. Those fries had no salt(zero) and since we gave up on them and got it to go, there was no way to add salt. Related note: the to go bag had our sandwiches all sideways, no napkins, and no utensils. For a bad experience, the worst part was getting charged over $ 50 for it(BLT, veggie burger, tacos, truffle fries, water). Next time we’re staying at a nearby hotel and want a quick bite, we’ll go to Whole Foods across the street.

Not sure why, but the lighting in this place really throws me off. It’s purple. We went for happy hour! The wines were $ 5 and I forgot how much the cocktails were. But I’m sure they were less than $ 10. The wine I had was ok, but what do you expect for $ 5, right? My husband ordered a couple cocktails and they made them to perfection. You can make a reservation on open table which is an added star in my book. I hate waiting for a table.

Comfort food with a sprinkle of something new. Plenty of options for $ 15 with excellent portion. THEPIG(special, $ 15) — excellent taste and texture on braised pork shoulder. I love bacon and pineapple salsa. Nice that the buttered bread is grilled. Unfortunately, after a few bites, the sandwich became too sweet. More jalapeño bits would minimize the sweetness. HOUSEFRIES — perfectly fried old fries. For esthetic purposes only. Thou shall NOT eat as it is VERY dry that ketchup could NOT even save. And they say ketchup makes everything tasty?!? SLAW — ok. Not my type. Unmotivational. CHICKENNOODLESOUP — comes with special menu. Nothing to brag about. Pasta was a bit undercooked. WINELIST — I like the Interesting Red and Interesting White categories. Sounds adventurous from small off beat vineyards. The Sparkling Wines/Bottles are the usual suspects. Break the bank if you feel like celebrating. DESSERT — common selections of cheesecake, chocolate, pie, ice cream… all sweet. I love my desserts and I passed. It seems, SWEET is the general palate at Bellwether that is too overwhelming for me. But, I would still return for the Mussels.

Staying at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers so quickly found this nearby late night spot the first nights stay. Recommended by the concierge, I did find the fish tacos worth trying. Although the soft shell was less a favorite than the tasty filling. Guava Mama is a must do! Chose this over a glass of wine. Decent pricing for location. Big screen tvs will satisfy the avid sportsman. But please add a some soulful music selections(e.g.Latin Jazz, afrocuban, DC swing, light R&B, etc.) to diversify the constant house music beats. Doing so will acknowledge the current spirit of multiculturalism that permeates popular music today! Best of luck to attracting nearby traffic

I went here this past weekend after a game night at FTW. I wasn’t starving, but I was a little hungry and went with the Buffalo rolls. They were yummy and I liked the mayo sauce they came with. Service was great! I will have to come back and try more items. Nice to see a place with good food open until 5:00am! My friend had the wine and she said it was great as well.

The bartenders were a delight, the food not so much. I’m always weary of hotel bars but my boyfriend actually lives in the condo apartments connected to Bellwether so we figured why not? Damn, these bartenders were good. We grab drinks here and there pretty often and it takes quite a lot to make a lasting impression with us. We were there at happy hour(on a day they also had weekday specials) and the bartender introduced the menu to us and told us quite honestly that the happy hour special was much more worth it. We grabbed a dogfishhead pumpkin ale and the bartender first stopped us and asked if we wanted a sample. Apparently they get bad feedback all the time and he didn’t want us to be stuck with something we didn’t like. Appreciated. Then some guy next to us ordered the same thing only to change his mind mid-pour(after the bartender had already started pouring). So the guy gave us that free drink! +1. We also ordered their flatbread special. I gotta say, it was pretty disappointing. For a seemingly more upscale(vs grungy pub) food establishment, I would hope that the flatbread wouldn’t fall apart — what I mean is it kind of seemed like they went to a supermarket, bought the premade stuff and hoped throwing cheese on it would fuse it all together… except that that didn’t happen.

Came here for date night with my baby boo(haha these pet names are lame… hope you the reader enjoy it) before hitting up the movies. For starters I got the French Onion Soup and it was 2 thumbs down. I recommend you skip this. The entrees however were delicious! I got the Bleu Cheese Burger and it was oh so good. My date got the BLT Sandwich on Texas Toast with a fried egg and said it was 4 stars worthy. So there you have it folks. Bellwether… worth a try. French Onion Soup = 1 star Bleu Cheese Burger = 3.5 stars BLT Sandwich on Texas Toast = 4 stars
