Went to this store when it was under the old owner/​management and let me tell you, the new team is WAY better! The store has been vastly improved in every area. Once barren shelves are now fully stocked with a wide array of booze. The storefront is nicely lit and has a much more welcoming look and it’s always a friendly experience with the staff.
The best upgrade they’ve made is the beer selection. This place is basically a mini-Binny’s with their huge selection. There seems to be something new to try every time I stop in and they have a good variety of my favorite brewers; Revolution, Great Lakes, and Founder’s.
Best liquor store around!

Redeemed a Groupon and had a fabulous experience. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff (probably the owner) who offered to search the new arrivals if I was looking for something special.
Great craft beer selection and very fair prices. Don’t be turned off by the «liquor store» façade… this place is great.

It is no joke, no scam, no bullshit, BYGL is fucking awesome. Of course they are also a hundred yards from my front door. And their name is too long.

Favorite liquor store of all time. Which says a lot, because I’m in a lot of liquor stores… ;)
I live right by here; they look like your typical hole in the wall liquor store, but they have amaaazzzzing, hard to find beverages. They carry Koval, the Chicago distillery, and my all-​time favorite beer: Midas Gold Touch (Dogfish Head).
The owner and employee (I’m pretty sure there’s two of them running this joint) are very friendly and know what they are talking about whether it’s the spirits or beer. Prices are normal for the products and they have Belly! :)

Great beer selection (and prices), and the dudes that run this spot are rad. I was in on an extremely rainy night and they told me to bring my bike inside next time so my saddle wouldn’t get wet. Holy shit. Build your own six packs too!

This place is inconspicuous, but it’s a diamond in the rough.
Here’s why: Rumor had it on Unilocal that they sell mix six packs at Before You Go. It’s true, they do, and the selection of what can go into the mix six is pretty good. Some places, like Binny’s, limit their mix six options to beer that normally comes in six packs that cost $ 9.99 or less. You pay a flat rate of $ 10 for a Binny’s mix six, no matter what you choose to put in it. This means you’re often stuck with some mediocre options.
At Before You Go, they have higher quality stuff available and each bottle is individually priced so that you can throw in a few great beers in there. I like this flexibility. I picked up a couple of the Stone Collaboration Series (Celeste and TBA), for about $ 3 each.

You put the beer-​beer into my mouth…
Just can’t help but think of Wham! when I hear the name of this place.
There’s the cast of usuals, but also an impressive and diverse mix of craft beers. One cooler is dedicated to singles that you can mix and match. Certainly appreciate the ability to try different beers without committing to a six pack.
Prices are average, but the staff was super friendly and told me to bring my bike in next time.
I tend to feel a little pressure when I go into a liquor store without knowing what I want beforehand. The guys here made me feel relaxed and chatted with me about the beers and life in general.
Will be back with friends.

Super close to my house, they usually have what I’m looking for and have a good selection. I wish they were able to keep gumball head on the shelf all the time, but I don’t know of any liquor store that can do that. The guys are nice and helpful and will give you a good recommendation for beers if you have no idea what you are looking for. Also the mix and match 6 pack is a great feature not too many places give you.

Let me start out by saying that I think I could open a 5-​Star liquor store. Sorry, but the rating system is easier than at a restaurant.
Anyway, this place delivers with their beer section. Liquor seems to be priced well, but beer is where they score. Good selection of craft beer with the option of mixing up a 6-​pack.
