The bartender was hot and nice but this place so waters down their drinks I may never get another mixed drink ever anywhere. The place is a Polish bar and the interior is pretty nice and fancy. They have to buzzz you in and I am not sure why the bar has this feature. maybe to make sure you are Polish

A bar with no support from the surrounding community. Prices are high and the staff non responsive. Avoid this one, plenty of other better bars in the area. Total ripoff!!!

A fantastic Polish bar/club with great Euro dance music(dance, euro). The atmosphere is energetic and the service is very friendly. It’s usually a Polish crowd, but I always find other European/American nationalities hanging out there as well. A great place to stop… gets you in the mood to dance while taking advantage of the great drinks. As for drinks, As Time Goes BY serves the BESTDRINKS in Chicago at UNBELIEVABLE prices(compared to lots of others bars/clubs). The layout of the bar/club is pretty good with a decent dance floor towards the back; the front part of the bar is divided into regular seating(comfy chairs like no other). The waitresses are friendly and ready to refill your drinks as soon as you finish them. The DJ is pretty good and plays some of the latest in dance music; the dance selection and mixes are fun and will get you on the dance floor. Overall, an excellent European bar/club with excellent dance music, superb drinks, a spacious dance floor, and a great staff. Definitely worth a visit! THISHASBEEN&ISCURRENTLY A VERYPOPULARAFTERHOURSPLACE! People normally start coming in around 2AM on Fridays & Saturdays. NOTE: It is often referred to as ‘Piano Bar’…

So it’s 2AM and you’re getting booted from Jedenka or Michelle Terrace or whatever Polish disco you are at. Where you gonna go? Well, if you just can’t stop dancing around to euro dance music, you’ve got one choice– the«Piano Bar!» OK, I have no idea why people refer to this place as the piano bar, it is neither called the Piano Bar(the sign outside clearly says«As Time Goes By») nor do they have any kind of piano or piano music. But whatever, «the piano bar» is what everybody calls it, and it’s got a late night liquor license. So it’s way out west, practically Elmwood Park. Be careful if you drive a little west and south looking for parking– that suburb’s finest is out looking for work to do. And the place is not much to look at– just a basic long skinny storefront with a back room turned into a small dance floor with a couple disco lights(same layout as downstairs liar’s club). Bathrooms are way too small it gets really crowded in both the men’s and women’s rooms. On a Friday or Saturday night after the other places close this place gets packed! Of course you can expect to see lots of folks from the disco you just left, plus all the waitresses and bartender girls show up too when they get off of work. Like many late night spots, people are hammered and there’s some serious drunken craziness going on most weekends. So it’s not a place I’d go out of my way to visit, but if you’re out with a group of Polish friends and you’re just not ready to call it a night when the early places close… the Piano Bar is always there, waiting to entertain.
