Honestly, I copy-pasted my review of Lazo’s, which is next door, and edited a little, because they’re both so bad when it comes to service. So: I want to love this place, because I can see it from my stoop and I love Mexican food, but the service is so bad. BF and I keep going back thinking that maybe it’ll be better, but it never is. The waitresses are always friendly when they come by, but that never happens. They bring out chips and salsa first, but don’t eat too much salsa because your water never gets refilled. We usually order drinks with dinner, which is a good way for them to get a solid tip, I’d think, for a number of reasons. But after they bring the first round, they never check back. It sucks, because the food’s good. I like the shrimp burrito, and I like this menu better than Lazo’s. If they just got the service right, we’d be there so much more often. But if you’re drunk and it’s late and you don’t give a shit, come on in, because it’s open 24⁄7.

Disclaimer: I have a ton of warm and fuzzy memories here so this review is biased. This is my first choice for tacos in the area, no matter the time of day. They make their pastor scratch and have it spinning in the rotisserie, ready for eager mouths. The chips and pico de gallo is hit or miss in freshness, but I try not to complain about free things. Breakfast is good and reasonably priced. I recommend the huevos rancheros! The salsa they make is awesome and for $ 6.50, you leave happy and full. Clientele is diverse with hipsters and original locals. I appreciate this place for being true to itself after all these years.

I’ve been here a few times, and besides the lackluster wait staff, the place is great. I love all their tacos, very fresh and flavorful. Since they are open 24 hours, you never know what you will find inside. Definitely a great place to stop at after you’ve had a few drinks.

The chicken tasted like it was Hornel’s canned chicken. Steak didn’t taste like steak and the texture of the meat was off. Very fatty pieces of steak were used. The tortillas were soaked in oil. Nothing had flavor or seamed to be seasoned. They give you watered down salsa in a red squeezable catsup up bottle. I thought Lazo’s was bad, but Arturo’s is WORSE! Oh yeah, it was overly cold in the restaurant and they won’t let you add tip to the receipt if you’re paying with a debit or credit card(they only allow cash tips!). Wtf.

Stopped here after a concert and had a Shrimp«Ceviche» Tostada which was absolutely delicious! Burrito’s were raved about – definitely will eat here again!

Are you drunk?!? Check out Arturo’s! If you’re sober, go somewhere else! I’d eaten here several times after shows at the Congress, but my first sober experience revealed what a dumpster this place is. Bland guac that somehow takes 60 minutes to make, margaritas that taste like chemicals, and sloooooow service. F’ it, go to McDonalds across the street.

Gorditas and sopes are above par and assembled with tradition meets current and recommended as a breakfast item to begin any day with a satisfied stomach

Above average. Takes a bit longer than their estimate for pick up, but show up a bit late and you’re good. I’ve almost had the whole menu, everything’s good and good price. For what it is, the food(meat especially) is good quality. I go back all the time. Try flan and horchata! Breakfast really good too! Also I like dining in, and frankly a great place to practice your Spanish!

Went here for the first time on Friday night. This is an odd but fun place. Low-key and active. Had the quesadillas which were huge and very good with a little buttery taste to them. Food took awhile to get here but everyone at my table had a great meal. The odd part is that, when you are ready to pay, you go to the cashier, the server comes with you and tells them what you had. It makes separate checks easy but still, very odd.

I’ve been coming to Arturo’s restaurant since I was a kid. It’s been 20 years of great times growing up, but for some reason I don’t know if it was today that felt a little off or that the way the location is run has changed. The worst possible food and drinks to have were had today by me. The Michelada was great! Everything else was not. Again, maybe it was there off day but overall the worst experience I’ve had in the past 20 years. With much love, Kevin

Arturo’s has decent tacos that taste even better after a few drinks. It’s open 24 hours a day which is awesome! They have a few beers on the menu and the service can be hit or miss. I prefer Arturo’s over Lazo’s next door.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The waitress actually called me a bitch after I paid for my food that I ordered. I had nachos with rice and beans. What Mexican restaurant does not include rice and beans with their entrees? Apparently, Arturo’s tacos. If you want to eat real Mexican at reasonable prices with any semblance of customer service, do NOT bring your business here. Additionally, my friends and I asked for red salsa and chips. It was never brought to our table. Two of my friends had three tacos and were charged $ 17 for three tacos($ 0.60 per extra ingredient including sour cream, cheese, and cilantro). This price is absolutely outrageous compared to other taco joints in the area such as big star. I will NEVER return to a place that I was treated so subserviently AFTER I paid for services.

This is my favorite go-to place in the city for tacos and gorditas. If you don’t know what a gordita is, do yourself a favor and head to A’s and order yourself a carne asada gordita(steak). I’ve been here a dozen times and always get great service. Last time I brought in a group of 6 pals and we ordered guac for the table and some awesome drink that I can’t remember the name of and it was a great time for our group! The tables aren’t quite big enough for a group of 6, more like 4 of your closest Mexican loving pals. Perhaps one day I’ll get something other than a gordita. Nah ;)

24 hours open? Delicious horchata? Big ass menu? Yes please! Ooh look, they got a jukebox too! Love the paintings on the walls, very original. As for the food, you can’t go wrong with a fat steak burrito. Mmm mmm mmm…

My favorite place to eat Mexican food. Very good food, clean, fast, good customer service, and good drinks. And the good thing is they are open 24⁄7 good to come after a movie with your friends and family

Late night craving? Nothing else open? Hit up Arturo’s! I’m a big fan of their lengua(beef tongue) tacos. Before you turn up your nose, beef tongue is a very tender, delicious part of the cow. I say stay away from the margaritas unless you like super sugary drinks where you can’t taste the booze at all. They definitely take card here and have their own parking lot.

Arturo’s lived up to exactly what I’d expect from a Mexican restaurant. Quick service(we had our food less than 10 minutes after ordering), a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere, and very good, but not outstanding, food. I ordered a chicken burrito, suizo style(covered in cheese!) and had them add avocado. I loved the added avocado as it was basically just a half of an avocado sliced into a few big chunks, which is a great way to enjoy the beautiful, green fruit. The cheese on the burrito was plentiful and delicious. The only thing I’d have liked was some red sauced slathered over the top as well to soften up the texture a bit. My friend got the tacos dinner al pastor and said she enjoyed it. We had to request a lime for her’s which she said made it just about perfect. So, overall, yea, Arturo’s is exactly what I want in a Mexican restaurant and, for ~$ 25 for two(including the CASHONLY tip) it was pretty great. Would return, for sure. Oh, and say what you will about this comment but I think it speaks volumes about the quality of Arturo’s that there were several Spanish speaking families eating here.

24-hour hood Mexican food, done right– breakfast is available at 6AM, everything is massive portions and low prices. Heads up that it’s cash tips only, so take it to go if you don’t have the scratch. Dining in also nets you a basket of chips and salsa. Came here for breakfast and lunch, the chilaquiles and a platter of tacos, around $ 8/meal. The breakfast options are solid and traditional, with homey flavors. Tacos are about $ 3/each and packed with meat, the suadero being the favorite. Almost everything comes with sides of rice and beans, which were surprisingly delicious. Bonus points for having a dedicated parking lot behind the building, and they are walking distance to Ipsento– but don’t leave your car for long, there are a ton of tow signs posted. TIP: Ask nicely for them to turn down the blasting mariachi music, I think they play it so loud to keep the employees awake and alert.

Practically empty at 7:30 pm on a Sunday evening. We had hardly sat down and chips and salsa and pico de gallo were placed in front of us. I wish they had brought water also because I tried the salsa and it had a real kick to it. My boyfriend even said it was hot, which is how I know it wasn’t something to play around with. Unfortunately the waitress didn’t return for like 10 more minutes, but we were able to finally place our drink and food orders. I ordered a mango margarita and my boyfriend ordered a regular one – he specifically asked for his frozen and when it arrived, it was on ice. Mine was frozen. Strange. Food was out quick. Mixed fajitas had a good flavor to them. The beef was tender, chicken juicy, and shrimp perfectly cooked. We also added two chorizo tacos and a shrimp taco to make sure we wouldn’t leave hungry. When we found out they’re open 24⁄7 we realized this probably won’t be our last time to Arturo’s.

Another late night taco joint! Its right next door to another late nite taco joint… Lazo’s Tacos They are pretty much the same joint as they have tacos that are only good if your are between buzzed and fucked up drunk. Peeps that work here are pretty cool I’ll probably get a burrito next time. Open 24 hours
