I ordered for delivery a sweet and sour chicken dish with crab rangoons and after a good 60+ minutes of waiting I asked for an update to which the restaurant replied that they sent their driver already. Overjoyed I continued waiting until 40 more minutes passed and I was unable to continue waiting and receive the food as I had to leave for work. 1 hour and 30 minutes should be more than enough time to order and receive food but alas I was unable to try the food. Such high hopes shattered by poor delivery. Fml

The lady at the counter which I assume was the boss was extremely nice. Pro: extremely good service –The lady offered water even when we have soda –she told us to be careful of hitting our elbow on the chair ^.^ so motherly –a t. v to look while waiting for food –big portions!!! Cons: slow service but I heard they are trying to find another cook so it will improve I honestly think this is better than going to Chinatown for food. I saw that some Unilocal reviews said the food was too greasy here but that’s every Asian restaurant! I think there aren’t as much grease as Chinatown and a lot of varieties in one plate for only 6bucks! I got crab Rangoon, egg roll AND soda with my order of one dish. Cannot get a better offer anywhere else guys.

Great local spot in Bridgeport for Chinese. 5stars because for what it is(small pickup/delivery place with a few tables), it is exceptional. Delicious food, always cooked to order. Veggies have a snap to them, never mushy. Cheap. Large portions. Ready in 10 mins! Extremely friendly staff, always make you feel welcome when you walk in. Very clean, inviting atmosphere. They remember their repeat customers too. I recommend the General Tso Chicken. I usually get the small order for $ 6. Anything but small. Comes with fresh steamed rice, but try getting a small side of chow fun noodles to go along with it. Delicious peppers and pineapple chunks with the chicken, all covered in a mouth watering tangy/sweet/spicy sauce-glaze. Drool. You can also get the combo, which is entrée, chicken-fried rice, can of pop, and eggroll.(Awesome for hangover). $ 7−8ish. Been coming here awhile and thought I’d show some love for this fine establishment. *Give it a shot!*

Well my usual place was closed, so I thought I’d give this place a try. The«Meh. I’ve experienced better» description on the rating sums it up pretty well. Pros: Food was hot and fresh on delivery, portions are a good size. Vegetables are fresh. BUT, as someone else just reviewed, everything was so BLAND. Crab Rangoon was overcooked and tough like leather. Egg foo young gravy was watery. Generel Tso’s chicken was flavorless. The fried rice was wet and oily(I’ll play devil’s advocate and hope it was just from the heat condensation in the box). I guess on the plus side is you know they aren’t using MSG. Most likely will not go for round 2.

I gave them 3 stars because I’m too nice…& because they were fast and friendly. Like other reviewers noted, the interior is cute. This was the first time I’ve seen granite tabletops in a Chinese restaurant… but I digress. Anywho, I’m a tad bit upset because I drive past this place everyday and finally decided to give them a shot after a Hennessy filled night. I ordered the Mongolian beef lunch special and for $ 6.11, you get a pretty hefty portion with a coke. The cons? The chicken fried rice AND the egg roll it came with were bland. It ain’t worth the calories. However, the Mongolian beef was DELICIOUS… as all heck; the beef is what saved my meal. If you’re adventurous like me and decide to brave this place despite my review, ask them to put your beef ONTOP of the rice. And then thank me later.

I live very close to the restaurant; therefore I order from this place quite frequently, when I am too lazy to go to Chinatown. The inside of the restaurant itself is not very impressive. There are a couple of tables and chair, but do not expect much. I see this place as a take-out restaurant rather than a dine-in. The owner is very friendly and can speak English fluently, so don’t worry if you do not speak Cantonese. As for the food, Archer Café does Asian-American food well. Although I can not vouch for the majority of their menu, the most popular option for my friends and I are the lunch special options from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Along with the main entrée, it also includes an egg roll, a side of their chicken fried rice, and a carbonated beverage all in the range of $ 5 to $ 7. I recommend their Mongolian beef. Another person has reviewed the Mongolian beef and stated that it was too greasy. Although I do agree it’s on the greasy side, I love onions and leeks which made the whole dish delicious to me. My friend enjoys the curry shrimp option, but I had not try that personally. All in all, Archer Café is a cheap place to fulfill your desires of Asian-American food when you do not feel like heading out to Chinatown. Service is quick; I usually can pick up my order within 10 – 15 minutes after calling in. The owner and staff are very polite; Ultimately, I would highly recommend Archer Café.

Came here just on a whim while looking for Chinese good near where I was. Good was pretty good. I liked How everything was NOT greasy unlike many other local Chinese restaurants. Also our meal came with a pop and crab Rangoon which was a nice touch. I’d try them again next time I’m in the neighborhood.

However, to set the record straight. I order pickup from here about once a month. The food is always ready for pickup on time. The food is always hot, the ingredients fresh and not over cooked and the serving size ample. A bonus is they include a can of pop with their lunch and dinner specials. The restaurant itself is clean, bright and friendly. Compared to the other Chinese take-out places here, right on the cusp of Chinatown, Archer Café can hold it’s head high, and you should definitely give them a try. So, I see Gina J is just a Unilocal*troll. You’ll notice that she only gives one star reviews, so, she should be ignored, especially on this one.

Quick & friendly service. I wanted to try out this new restaurant for take out, as it’s only been open a few weeks. It does have a few tables if you’d like to eat there as well, very clean & brand new. I ordered the Mongolian Beef lunch special, it comes chicken fried rice and small egg roll. Delicious! They did not skip on the beef or chicken or the portions. I also ordered a strawberry smoothie, yum.
