Need a unique gift idea, want to buy cool handcrafted furniture, do you want to see a Wineceros (rhinoceros + wine), do you like Nintendo, then check out Apartment 528! This is a great store with something for everyone. You can buy anything from vintage cameras, to $ 25 dollar mini screening kits, to a an awesome handcrafted desk.
Also the owners are an amazing husband and wife duo, India and Jerome. When chatting with them they are like a great movie in that they will make you laugh, cry, and get sentimental.
If you are in West Bucktown/​East Humboldt Park, I highly recommend you check out this hidden treasure. Also ask about their cool events like the 8-​Bit Nintendo Parties.

Beyond kitsch, this place has amazing one of a kind vintage, repurposed, and recycled goodies for sale. The shop owners couldn’t be nicer, and there is always something new every time I stop in. A+

A tightly edited yet inviting shop in the heart of the thriving «West of Western» district in Humboldt Park, Apartment 528 features a mix of artisan made décor, lighting and furniture alongside colorful vintage artwork, blankets, kitchenware and books. Everything is well organized, clean and ready to be integrated into your space. Quirky finds included a first edition copy of «The Shining» and handmade wooden lamps referencing 8-​bit video games like Zelda and Mario.
The owners, India and Jerome, are veterans of the Chicago vintage scene and are happy to help you find the perfect piece for your home or office.
