Andrew Nails is my #1 salon in the city. They always do a great job and the staff is very friendly! And most importantly, this place fits everyone’s budget!

This is my spot! Andy is my favorite! He is so good at what he does and he’s very nice. If you’re looking for a high-end spa mani and pedi then pass. Go to Wicker Park or any of those neighborhoods and pay $ 40 for a no-chip manicure. If you just want to get your nails done and leave with beautiful toes, then come here. They have decent massage chairs, and the massages are okay when they work on you. I love coming here, I have been a loyal customer since I moved to this neighborhood in 2006. Beware! They are always super busy! I usually call ahead and ask if I should stop by or if I can make an appointment. Even with an appointment there is a little wait time. I don’t mind waiting because I love getting my nails done there, but just something to think about.

Forgot who did my pedicure but i hate to say you get what you pay for, she did my nails great but butchered the bottoms of my feet i dont mind the razor but not when you don’t know how to use one, i came home with dents and skin still half way off on both the bottom of my feet, i would try again with someone else.

The pedicures are usually adequate. The workers are average at best… not very friendly and looking for big tips. Its not the greatest but could be worse.

If you don’t get done what they want they pretend to take your appointment but they don’t really do it. So you have to wait a long time anyways. And they always speak in their language and laugh. Who knows, they are probably talking about the customers since I asked what was so funny one time and they said it wouldn’t be funny in English. I cough them more than once where one of them says something and the rest laugh and stare at the same customer. I was one of those customers. Coincidence? I think not! Not a big fan of this place at all. I kept coming here because I’m always short on time and it’s close to my house, but not anymore.

I really like this place! It’s super inexpensive AND if you have a student ID you get 5 $ off anything your getting done! They have OPI and Essie nail polish along with some other less known brands. There’s like 5 workers and the place is always PACKED. Sanitation and setting is eh, ok. If you’re looking for a super nice and clean establishment this isn’t the place for you. I come here to get the job done for super cheap and leave! I guess the inexpensive-ness is what makes up for the setting. The workers are friendly and they work hard. The place is kind of small too but you can never go wrong with a QUALITY mani and pedi for 15 $!

I used to really enjoy this place– until the last time my friend and I went here. I bragged about this place to my girlfriend just to feel ashamed about bringing her here. We both sat down for pedi’s and we wanted a sea salt with a hot stone massage. Apparently putting sea salt in the water and THEN rubbing down our feet with hot stones(like I had before) was the FUNNIESTTHINGEVER! what was even funnier was when my gf and I asked«What is so funny, bcuz we wanna laugh too,» the guy decided to tell his co-workers(in THEIR language) what was funny. We still til this day do not know what was said or what was so funny. I feel like that was beyond RUDE! We both work in the service industry and over tipping is Never a problem. 10% was all we left… To be looked at and talked about in another language in front of your face!!! Not flipping cool. I will never show my face or EVER recommend this place ever again!

I work at a nail salon and I can’t say this was the best experience At all. I understood everything they said and they were even bad mouthing me because the person who did my nail had done it wrong from what I ask them he had the courage to say that my finger is crooked… Just to redo the whole nail again and then he has it was straight. Just not a great experience for me at all. And he burned my nail and kept doing it over and over again when I told him it hurts,. At the end I did give me a tip for redoing it but they gave me and my boyfriend a rude thank you and good bye. Smh I will never come back here again to so my nails

The girls are very nice and good at what they do. Not a great location for the type of business though. it’s right on Lawrence and Pulaski. two very busy streets with horrible parking and lots of traffic.

Good deal for the money. They are great at trimming ingrown toenails. Other places my toenails bother me a week later. I can go about 3 – 4 weeks before I need them trimmed again. They are great with gel manicures. Other places the gel manicures didn’t even make it 2 weeks. I probably could have went 3 weeks before I needed a fill in.

I just got an excellent manicure and pedicure at Andrew Nails. I received a friendly greeting and prompt attention. The guy who did my nails spent quite a bit of time, but it was worth it. I got perfect nails at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I went there for a pedicure. The staff was very nice and my pedicure came out great. Everything appeared sanitized and properly wrapped. If you are uncomfortable with people near you in a language other than English as some have suggested in these reviews and those I’ve seen for other nail salons, then you may wish to pass. If your primary interest is a standard and inexpensive pedicure then this is a place to try. I know they offer other services too. I saw them applying artificial nails on a client and another client went for a more extravagant design/bejeweled look. A couple words of warning. Anyone and everyone who came in was told either that they were ready now or in 20 minutes. I didn’t really see anyone’s service start immediately. Even if they took a seat at a station they may have to wait a bit for the tech to get to them. They were really busy at the time. I was told 20 minutes and I came back in 15. They seated me at a pedicure station and I ended up soaking my feet for almost 30 minutes before they got to me. On the bright side, I didn’t feel like they rushed through my service. Also, I am not familiar with polishes in general, but I would say that barely a quarter of their selection was Essie or OPI, the two in which I am familiar. They did have a lot of colors available, just in brands that were unfamiliar to me. In short, try this place. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Just be sure you don’t pick a day when you have strict time limitations.

My only complaint is that they should treat every customer equally! Its 2011 and they seem to be a Little discriminative. They talk amongst each other in their own language. like any place does, but they do it a little too much, and make it obvious that they are talking about you. They also seem to know if you have money and try and charge extra for something, they need to get it together. Also to get a great job, you have to know who to go to, this isn’t cool or cute for new comers.

I do there artificial nail usually. It’s a good place, if to consider prices and the service you get for your money. I prefer when my nails are done by Lucy. There is one man there, the job he does is not bad, but once he hurt my finger, trying to file the tip, besides he’s not too friendly. Pedicure is normal, the same as in any place of such price range.

I got a typical manicure. They were courteous, but not friendly. They talk to each other in Chinese, which is typical or expected, but they never acknowledged me other than what do you want and here’s how much it is, then a cold thank you and goodbye. The place smells of chemicals. The price is really cheap! $ 10 for a manicure, which is a deal! But I can’t say it was the best experience. I’d rather pay more for a not so awkward nail salon and one that smells and looks better. I won’t be coming back. P.S. They only accept credit cards for services over $ 20. If your line of work will reimburse you for a manicure and you need a receipt, you’ll have to fight for one as they don’t typically give receipts except for credit card payments.

After my latest visit, I don’t think I’ll be returning to Andrew Nails. This place is super close to me and super cheap, I’ve never had a problem with their pedi’s…but this is the second time I’ve gone in for a fill only to find that when they remove my nail polish a couple of my nails have a greenish spot on them which looks like mold. Now, most people might freak out over this, but all it was was a superficial spot that came off with a little filing when I got home, basically water got in between my nail and the acrylic and voila, mold. I don’t know if they just don’t do the acrylic right or what but it has never happened anywhere else. What’s worse is that while I’m fine with it and ready to just file it off, the nail lady gets all worked up and all the employees start talking in Chinese to each other and she tells me I left the set on too long(the latest incident was brand new set put on 2 weeks ago) and she tells me my nails are too thin and I have to let them rest 2 weeks-no crap my nails are thin, you just ripped off the acrylics! I’m guessing they’re just afraid I’m going to get worked up like its fungus or something(I’ve seen nail fungus from a nail salon and it ain’t pretty but this isn’t it). After going there for awhile I’ve seen that their stuff doesn’t seem very clean and I won’t be back.

This is a good deal. I am not a regular anywhere… but this was a nice treat– a good price and a nice job! Pedicure included cutting and filing of nails, foot filing, and oil with a leg rub, then the painting of my nails. I was there for about 25mins. and was helped right away. $ 15– nowhere else.

I am very happy with this place. I have been a faithful customer for about a year now. The pedis are $ 15 bucks all day everyday and the fills are $ 15 too. Lucy is friendly and always greats you the moment you walk in the door. The pedis are great and so relaxing and they really take thier time between 30 — 45MIN. in the winter they offer $ 15 facials those are great too.
