Very friendly and professional staff. Internet is slower than I’d prefer but nothing too bad. If something is wrong with equipment or books are not available the staff is very accommodating and apologetic. There’s a 15 min quick station for those who don’t need much time on the computer. Copy machine available. Great activities for kids on the weekends. Overall I enjoy coming to this library.

Being a huge book lover you might find it odd that I’m not crazy about libraries, this one in paticular. For a library it’s not that big, and their biggest section other than children’s books is the fiction section, which wouldn’t be bad if that was the reason I usually go to the library, but when I go it’s mainly for reference and school projects. This is where the Chicago Ridge Library falls short. Very short. I mean, what library doesn’t have ‘Helter Skelter’? Actually it has it now that I don’t need it. And when I ask about whatever book I seem to need they tell me they can order it. That’s fine and all but it usually takes a week for the book to arrive and if I’m looking for it, you can be pretty certain that I need it now and not a week from now.
So, take care when you head their, you might not find what you’re looking for.
