Our friend who does not speak English was traveling from Chicago to Indianapolis.
We left him at the terminal 30 min before scheduled departure. He called us at time of departure-​no bus. We tried to call the terminal-​nobody picks up, the «mailbox is full’ message. Tried central Greyhound-​they have now idea why there is no bus. They tried to call Chicago terminal-​no answer. Our friend who doesn’t speak English gave the phone to a passenger-​the guy told me nobody knows what is with the bus. We hit the wall. For more than an hour we tried with nothing to show for it. Finally after an hour and a half the bus came. No explanation for the delay.
My advise: If you considering a Greyhound bus for your travel-don’t. I personally would prefer a pony express. Shocking. i would expect something like this in Honduras, not in America.

This is not the main Greyhound station in the West Loop, but rather the small bus stop that is part of the Cumberland «L» station complex along the CTA Blue Line. I remember the good ol’ days when I took the Greyhound from Chicago to New York. As I got older, the bus rides seemed to get longer, or at least they felt longer to me.
