This review is for Lilian S. Mahrokhian MD. First off I am from Boston but never really had any connection with any doctor. Yes I had my yearlies — always saw nurse practitioners, obstetricians nothing amazing yes good. I had a connection w my kidz doctors, amazing doctors. But for me I had no health issues so it was a mute point.
READ THE WHOLE REVIEW WITHOUT CONFUSING THE FIRST DOCTOR WHO WAS HORRIBLE IN THE SAME PRACTICE WITH MY current doctor, Dr. Mahrokhian. I was clear in this review — but just saying,
Fast forward, tragedy struck in my family life late in my life, and I moved out of state for 2 years. When I came back to Boston, went to Brigham in Chestnut Hill easy commute, figure no health issues, just need a pcp doc. So I had a few no brainer probs and ONE OF THE OTHER doctors in the same practice, horrible /​couldn’t diagnose a simple dry skin, said bed bugs ?! Put me and the kids thru sleeping w toxic cream on our skins for no reason! Then also this OTHER DOC in same practice clueless on questions you’d think a doc would know. I tested her Im an engineer. I said SHES OUT!
In March of 2016 I get dual focal pneumonia, full blown pneumonia, both lungs, don’t know how or why i got it, takes me down, I’m gym rat healthy as a horse, I’m taking to the ER after 5 days of thinking I just got a random bug. I get admitted oxygen 91 — in for 5 day. Nightmare in the hospital, so sick! Get out, still out of it. No family besides the kidz, barely can move. The hospital wants me to stay w this OTHER DOCTOR in the practice as shes my pcp so I agree, as hey can she read an Xray. Im hoping. Well i get hooked up with her TA (prolly wrong acronym but her assistant). Worse than the pcp /​says shes something could be CANCER. Im like what ?! She says yes! i say to myself why didn’t NWH say anything!!! Like WTH. This is a Friday afternoon. I call Friday 9pm for the on call doc, Doc Lilian Mahrokhian is on call. I tell her and I’m crying. A gym rat, gets pneumonia now I might have something malignant. I mean could happen, but wondering why Newton Wells said nothing !!! I called NWH ask to speak to my in hospital doctor, shes say NO, we saw nothing like that. Im like whats going on!!! So Dr. Mahrokhian gets online w my charts, x-​rays, Friday night, go over EVERYTHING WITH ME FOR LIKE 2 hours!!! and says Stacey, radiologists make notes to basically cover there butts but theres nothing that says CANCER, all it said was if lungs don’t clear up see further help. Like duh! Then the TA calls me says Im anaemic, Im like what ?!! Since i have her on the phone I tell her what Dr. Mahrokhian told me and shes like oh sorry (like half ass) after non stop talking about me being anaemic. I call to make my appt, I tell Val (the nurse the whole saga), shes a sweetheart and says she Dr. Mahrokhian for your follow up shes working w on this! Ok so now yay I have a great doc but shes not my pcp, so Im late to my appt (my dog ran off), i got pneumonia, I call while driving, like letting them know in advance, the person who answers the phone says DONT COME! Im like Im coming!!! I say Call ur manager. Tell Dr. Mahrokhian I must see her, like I’m sry but my dog ran off! I live at a train station, i couldn’t leave him loose! she fights me and says NO, ur eff-​ing kidding! I killed myself to get here. I need my X-​ray read. She says u have 15 min slot w ur doc ur late no appt. I’m 5 mins away. I turn around, driving home, office calls me and they say DR MAHROKHIAN WILL SKIP HER LUNCH AND SEE YOU! Im like Wow! Shes amazing! So when I see Dr. Mahrokhian she doesn’t even know I’m the girl she talked to that Friday night for 2 hours!!! And she STILL SAW ME as she knew a patient was so upset and had bad pneumonia, and needed her. NOW THATS A DOCTOR! And when i met her, shes just as amazing in person, smart, through, her bedside manner is primo and NOW SHES MY DOCTOR! My PCP! If you are lucky enough to find someone as special as Dr. Lilian Mahrokhian — THANK YOUR LUCKY STARS!!! Also got a call from the manager who runs the office (will update with her name, pretty sure its Debbie, shes new, but not positive of her first name) she said we are relaxing the Time Rules — Its is boston, ever hear of traffic or idk emergencies, (kidz, dogs) ppl can run late!!! And btw the anaemia, doc Mahrokhian says ur blood was a mess cause u were so sick w pneumonia #urnotanaemic … #lovemydoctor

This is a lab review
Yah for longer hours to get bloodwork! Open from 7am — 6:30 Monday — Friday. I typically go to the Newton Corner lab (open until 4:15) but unfortunately, I went there and the lab lady took off early. The nice ladies at the front desk suggested I go to the 850 boylston office and I’m glad I did!
When I arrived the waiting room was packed and they were so efficient getting thru everyone quickly. I didn’t have to wait long at all! Love the extended hours!
Located on the first floor with limited parking! Best bet is to use the valet.

I see Dr. Jennifer Lee. I have been her patient for 10+ years. She is highly competent, compassionate, and communicates her concerns and instructions to me very well. She listens to my concerns and responds to my questions. I have some chronic conditions that require care from several specialists and she always stays abreast of their treatment plans. I feel very confident of her ability to provide me with optimal care and trust her recommendations.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Pintos for years, and have always found her to be an excellent doctor. She is very busy, so when I call the office I often get a call back from her nurse, but she always asks the right questions, and often schedules and appointment for me to come in if they believe something is wrong.
On one occassion I was having a terrible panic attack in Chicago, and Dr. Pinto was on the phone with me multiple times late into the evening on her personal time, walking me through the right course of treatment in regards to Xanax.
While she might come off a little cool the first couple times you meet with her, I’ve really grown to value Dr. Pinto over the years and trust her as my doctor.

I cannot comment on this entire practice and generally the office staff is helpful and efficient. However, I do not recommend Dr. Ann Pinto. If you are looking for a doctor with strong critical thinking skills who will take time to listen to your symptoms and consider you as an individual, go somewhere else.
While I am confident that Dr. Pinto is an intelligent person and would be excellent in a research lab, she is not a good practicing doctor and, with thousands of experienced doctors in the Boston area, I highly recommend going somewhere else.
When, for the first time in four years of seeing Dr. Pinto for well visits, I was sick with serious symptoms, she was extremely insensitive, barely listened to what I was saying and rushed me through a very quick appt with no physical exam.
As it turned out, I had Lyme disease and a co-​infection with Bartonella, another tick-​carried bacteria. I am being treated with antibiotics and am getting better, but the delay at the beginning of my infection was costly and my symptoms became so disabling that I couldn’t get out of bed and ended up at the emergency room. On the day I went to the emergency room at MA General, I called Dr. Pinto’s office trying to speak with her and hoping she could get me in to see a specialist earlier. I never heard back from her office until six hours later that day when I was already at the hospital. Dr. Pinto had already left her office for the day.
Lyme disease is complicated and the debate about diagnosis and treatment is charged, but more than anything else it is Dr. Pinto’s overt lack of interest and basic knowledge that is most alarming. My daughter was being treated for Lyme disease the exact same week that my own debilitating symptoms evolved and her pediatrician reacted with confidence, empathy, and the wisdom to acknowledge what she didn’t know and refer us elsewhere. We are both being treated now and are recovering well.
Clearly, I have switched primary care providers.

I am a patient here and would recommend the practice to anyone. The PCPs are excellent and the quality of care is exceptional. The physicians all provide their own coverage on nights and there is always a doctor on call for weekend emergencies, and if need be they will see you at the Faulkner Hospital weekend care practice. I am a patient of Dr. Laurel Yates and she really listens and never rushes the appointment. My whole family receives care there from Drs. Yates, Ann Pinto and Parisa Kaboli.
Also, conveniently there is a lab right on the first floor. The only difficult thing is wait times on the phone for staff, who take forever to answer
