Great salads! The chicken is outstanding and the staff is very friendly. I enjoy my weekly lunch here!

Solid lunch destination. Food is bar food and tasty.

Stopped for a cold one. Typical stlouis attitude of ‘aren’t you going to eat’ discussion. Nice place. smell not conducive to eating. Bartender bored not attentive talked only to regulars. Myself. And another patron ignored basically. Is the last day at bartender school the lesson indifference to the job and customer? Man, its a stlouis thing I guess. Plus, no smoking .its a nice place for a 30 break. That’s all

What a lousy experience! What went right: basically nothing. What went wrong: — Blackened grouper sandwich — saltiest thing ever and I don’t shy away from salt so it went back. — Replacement burger took so long that all I wanted was to get the hell out of there before it arrived. — Owner visibly snacking in the kitchen — pretty sure that is illegal. — Bartender and our inattentive waitress doing shots at the bar. I spotted our waitress telling the owner that I didn’t like my food and that she was placing an order for a replacement. He didn’t bother to stop by or say anything to us, he just continued walking around and chatting up his friends with a drink in hand. I waited quite a while for the burger to show up and eventually lost both hope and interest. I told the waitress to cash us out so we could leave — still no sign of the owner at our table to inquire about the issues we experienced. As I walked to the door I did see him walk out of the kitchen with a burger, sit down at the bar and tuck in… presumably it was my replacement meal. No real possibility I will be back — the experience was that miserable.

The Hanger Grill is your regular«run of the mill» bar. Nothing special here. For an appetizer we had the battered cheese curds. They tasted bland. I had the cheddar bacon burger with fries for my meal. It tasted like any other cheeseburger at any other bar. No special flavoring. The steak fries had no special seasoning; just plain steak fries you can make at home. The atmosphere was LOUD! While it was a Friday night, the band was way too loud. Save your money and cook at home. You could probably zest up a burger better than this place.

We have been there a few times now. Service was fine and everything we have had to eat had been good except for the Bison Burger, it was GREAT!

We went here with some friends on a Saturday night to grab a bite and I had the Hot Hangar sandwich which was very good. In fact everyone at our table was raving about their food. The only negative was the band that they had playing. They were playing so loud in this little restaurant that people were moving to the very back, then just leaving. The music was good but just so damned loud we had to leave too. In short, the food was very good, the ambience was good until the band started running everyone out the front door. Only two stars because of the band and the owner’s ignorance, or feigned ignorance, of his customer’s experience.

This place is the worst. I would never go there again. Really really rude employees especially the cook and Erin the bartender. I would recommend spending my time and money elsewhere where customers ae appreciated.

This is one of my favorite places in St. Louis! The bison burger is great and the fried cheese curds were amazing! Great staff and wonderful environment!

Payton Place for sure… Ugh…This is definitely more of a tavern/bar than a restaurant. The kitchen is tiny and limited. Decent food, but pretty much everything is fried. After going here a couple of times, once for lunch, and once for dinner, I decided to go when they were having live music. The bartender/servers were nice but overwhelmed and there is a lack of seating. The music was good, but this place is small, there is no real stage, and it is loud to the point that you could not have a conversation at the same time. Plenty of other establishments to go and hear the same act. There is definitely a group of over-middle-age«regulars» who are chummy with the owner and they pretty much take over the place. I overheard a group of them gossiping and judging other people there outside of their«circle» pretty harshly. Sorry, but I don’t need to feel like I’m back in junior high! Unless you are a chain smoking alcoholic, not much to see here.

Outstanding bison burger cooked medium rare, just like I ordered it. Service is sketchy and the coleslaw is worse.

Very talented young chef. Simple menu but everything prepared to perfection. Great place to take kids as well. Front of house service good, could be a little more responsive and attentive. Overall one of the hidden gems in the Chesterfield Valley.

After several invitations to join a couple of my friend up there for drinks, i was supprised to see the type of crowd that likes to hang there. A little bit of everything, mostly older, some service industry folks from surrounding restaurants, but it seemed mostly to be a Good Olé boys club. Older men hovering around the bar, and jukebox looking to Hug(or grope/«cop a feel») on any female that approached. The younger or middle aged people/patrons didnt seem the type to care about appearances, either. i didn’t see a menu but my girlfriends order appetizers. she said it hard to mess up a TJ pizza. Drinks were reasonably priced & we stayed long enough to get third round. After a trip to the bathroom, i was sure i wouldn’t be back. no toilet paper or towels. nothing. the whole place smelled like mold and stale smoke or the industrial deodorizer they used to cover the filthy bathrooms. then when leaving the bathroom– u get a full view into the kitchen. i would hang a curtain or buy a scrub brush. it looked like the employes used the kitchen as a smoking area & thats probably why it smelled the way it did. it was clear this really wasn’t a grill but more like a little tavern. it wasn’t clear who was in charge. the bartender/staff was part a large group around, at & on the bar, making drinks and enjoying themselves, but it seemed no one else could get service. or maybe it was just us. Doubtful we’ll be back.

Try the wings, they are great! A nice place to unwind at lunch or dinner. I meet up with friends and just had appetizers. Owner is nice and always says hello.

NOT fast, let me repeat that, THISPLACEISNOTFAST. Once you accept the fact that you will never be able to «pop in for a quick lunch» and get back to work, you can appreciate this place. The people working there are very nice, attentive without hovering and overall pleasant to deal with. The burger is hands down the best in the valley(I know, not many try to compete) and the Ruben actually makes you happy it was ordered. Try to avoid ordering too much food(most of it does not keep well) which can easily happen as some of the portions are quite generous. Nice place!

This place is great and is easy to overlook but I am glad we found this little gem. They have really good food and the service is great. My husband got the gyro the first time and then was going to order something else but decided«why mess with perfection» and got the gyro again. I got the buffalo chicken wrap with extra buffalo sauce on the side(again as well). I like that they don’t load up with too much sauce on the wrap and the buffalo sauce has just the right intensity – spicy and still tasty. They have a nice selection of beer which we enjoyed with our meal as well.
