My favorite ice cream place. Just get a concrete with strawberries. Basic one is always the best. I eat this ice cream in the winter because it’s so good.

Frozen custard is heaven to me and I get a hankering for it like nobody’s business! So of course I had to get it at 10:45pm on a Wednesday night. I ordered the grasshopper concrete and I would order it again. I found nothing wrong with this perfect combination of custard mixture. In fact, just thinking about it makes me crave one now. It is 9am. My friend ordered a latte and said it was I quote, «a damn good latte.» So there’s that!

You Must go and try it. I Have only gotten the concretes and cones. «It’s my go to thing.» But on my next trip I might try the food :-) A little expensive but worth it. Things are made to order! so the lines can be long and slow some times.

When I got to sheridan’s the people we were meeting up with were a little late so I sat down at a table and talked with my friends and waited. The Girl working the window pestered me at least three times asking if I was ready to order in an annoyed tone. When my friends arrived we were looking at the menu when she asked again and I said«no we aren’t really ready». She slammed the window shut and said«we’re closing in 15 minutes.» Then immediately after she had walked away another worker came up to the window looked at us and said«sorry we’re closed now», and then locked the window. We all sat down disappointed and talked, when a couple came up to the window and they opened back up and let them order. I then went up to the window and asked if we could order. He rolled his eyes and said yes. We ordered and I was overall very disappointed with the ice cream. The cup was half filled and wasn’t anything special. I finished mine in under a minute and later went to the drive thru at McDonald’s and my friends and I all agreed we liked the McDonald’s soft serve cones and service much better.

I’ve been going here for years mainly because it’s nearby. I always order a mini sundae. Tonight the«mini» was to the extreme. It was barely half full. Wondering if this is how they are cutting back to save on overhead. If this happens again I won’t be back.

Admittedly, I have a large sweet tooth. Sheridan’s is one of the few places where it feels satisfied. The custard has a smooth, thick and balanced consistency. It is filling without being overwhelming. I traditionally pair my custard with classic M&M’s as a concrete and Sheridan’s is my special treat for my go-to favorite when I am in the Chesterfield area. It has outdoor seating and drive through, not much of an ambiance but the quality of the food compensates for the tucked-away location by a hotel and Charlie Gito’s.

Horrible Poor management If you like Ted Drewes, don’t come here. The service was terrible… There is no chocolate or fudge in their sundaes They mix up the orders… Won’t be back

Quite frankly, there are better choices nearby. I had a chocolate malt and there was nowhere near enough malt added. Also, the cup that was handed to me was inadequately mixed. It was the middle of the day and they weren’t busy so no excuse there. Finally, the custard itself was somewhat bland. Of note: if you go, check out the curbs that define the drive-thru. They are well-marked with evidence that our west county soccer moms cannot adequately pilot their SUVs and minivans without running into things. Glad they’re conveniently located but not high on my list based on my initial experience.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for… frozen custard! I’m a big fan of frozen custard, as I love the thick and creamy consistency. My husband and I stopped for dessert at Sheridan’s after eating dinner nearby. They have a convenient drive-thru and walk up windows with several outdoor tables. Sheridan’s offers a decent selection of mix-ins with both vanilla and chocolate custard. I made my own«Elvis» concrete(chocolate custard with peanut butter and banana) and my hubby had a vanilla concrete mixed with peanut butter cups and Oreos. I believe there were four cup sizes to choose from, and we each ordered a regular size, which was plenty. Both concretes were thick, rich, creamy, and full of flavor… just the way I like ‘em! Though neither of us tried one, the selection of lattes looked equally delicious and they offer some very unique flavors. Sheridan’s certainly hit the spot. I’d be happy to try out another concoction next time I’m in the area.

Pretty sure I overdid it because I was just so excited to get frozen custard in MO. I had the banana split which was enormous and everyone in my group was giving me looks. No shame. I ate less than half before I couldn’t squeeze another bite in. I couldn’t really tell the difference between soft serve and frozen custard but it was good. The nuts really gave it a nice crunch.

The main problem with service industries, and restaurants in particular is they forget why they are in business. I just left Sheridan’s, I asked for a very tricky item… an ice cream cone. The foreign lady who I had to ask to repeat herself several times, told me «why are you trying to buy ice cream it is 9:30 in the morning, we don’t serve ice cream until much later.» I told this person that your sign says Sheridan’s Custard, and custard is what I want. How hard is it to turn on the machine so in the odd change a customer(I was the only one near the place) asks for something you can serve him? The reason restaurants go out of business is that they forget that they are in business to serve the public. Sheridan’s has lost a repeat customer forever. That is a shame, because their product was not as good as Ted Drewes but better than Dairy Queen. I refuse to patronize any business that does not focus on the mission to delight their clients. I will be at the closing party of Sheridan’s cheering their demise.

As a former employee, I’m biased. But, i have also tried competitors custard too, and i still venture back to Sheridan’s because it is the best. What is really nice is that they now have«mini» servings so you don’t feel guilty! its just one scoop, but it really is plenty enough to be satisfied!

Yummy! This was our first time here and we liked it. The ingredients were fresh and the service was friendly and quick. I would have liked the vanilla custard to have a little more flavor, but that’s just the kid in me that grew up on homemade custard. I have absolutely no complaints about this place. It was great.

Very good. Not a custard fan but I like this! This is one of my family favorites. It is creamy smooth and lots of varieties to choose from. I try and watch my weight and this is a perfect little sin. A great place to end a great evening or to snuggle and share a cup with someone special. Of corse, when I do that I only get a bite or two. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

I discovered Sheridan’s when I lived in KC and, although I started going to Ted Drewes when I was THREE(almost 50 years ago), when I discovered Sheridan’s was in the St. Louis area, I had to stop by. Their special creations are great! This location is kinda hidden but worth searching out. Service was great, my sundae was great! Very happy!

I simply love this place. I love their drive through, people who work here are great. Nice sandwiches, coffee for the morning or may be a custard dessert! There are not a whole lot of drive throughs in this area except mc Donald’s and Burger King. Definitely a place worth trying.

Sheridan frozen custard is an amazing place for dessert. Not only do they have the best frozen custard in STL(yes better than Ted Drew’s) they have coffee and espresso. My favorite thing here is a shake they have which has espresso, chocolate ice cream, and walnuts. I will gladly drive 20 minutes to come here for an awesome dessert!

I don’t claim to be a Custard Connoisseur – although I might just for the alliteration :)… but this place is delish! The custard was sweet and flavorful like custard should be. I’ve had plenty of custard that doesn’t have much flavor but this had more than your average custard stand. I had just a simple chocolate malt. Not as good as a non-custard malt, but a real treat none the less. Me’ lady had an m&m concrete. It was very good. If I went back I’d opt in for the concrete. They put the perfect amount of toppings in – a lot. But for real, there weren’t too many. If you are in the area and have a hankering for some frozen custard, check out Sheridan’s!

The slogan on the cup in front of me says«Sheridan’s means „No Compromises“». Apparently it also means my butterscotch malt will have no malt or butterscotch. I have always loved a good butterscotch malt. I realize that Sheridan’s is not hand dipping vanilla ice cream to make these, but is it too much to ask that they put some malt powder and butterscotch syrup in the malt? This thing was nothing but vanilla custard that didn’t actually even have any vanilla flavor. What do you call that? It’s just blank, it’s sweet and cold and tastes like nothing. Vanilla is not the absence of flavoring. It is an actual essence either real or artificial, I don’t care, put some in. Sheridan’s management needs to explain what the«No Compromises» means. They compromised by not adding any flavoring to my malt. I guess the«» marks on my cup are like air quotes, which have come to mean«Not Really». Actually air is what was apparently used to flavor my malt. What a joke.

Closest to home, but not my preference. There’s a Silky’s at Olive and Mason in Creve Coeur, and a Silky’s on Manchester Road just before the Old State Road intersection in Ellisville. Sheridan’s has walk-up and drive-through. Lots of choices in flavors and toppings. This review is a comparative. Sheridan’s large isn’t as large as Silky’s. I always get the hot fudge and strawberry concrete. Sheridan’s hot fudge taste is quite subdued compared to Silky’s. The strawberry is at the forefront, rather than the concrete being a combination of the two tastes. My oldest son will go here, because it’s close. My youngest son will drive by Sheridan’s to go to Silky’s.
