This was the first time I have ever gotten up and left a restaurant. We waited an hour and twenty minutes for a burger and a sandwich which never did arrive. There were only two other tables at the time and plenty of staff«working». We had to go up to the bar and ask for drink refills all while people are coming in to pick up carry out orders which apparently take precedence over dining patrons. Unbelievable.

We live close to this restaurant and we very excited to try it this evening. We sat for 20 minutes before receiving our drink order and placing our food order, another 20 minutes to get our appetizer and after another 20 minutes asked to get our food to go since we had been there for so long. We ended up waiting another 15 minutes to have the wrong food brought to us. We were finally able to leave with our food after being there an hour and a half and throughout that time we were not checked on and had to wave down other servers to get helped. The food was definitely not good enough to make up for the poor service.

Horrible service. Sat for 90 minutes and still no food. We walked out without eating.

Stopped in for a pre-meeting lunch and was very pleased! The scotch eggs are wonderfully done with the perfect amount of sausage wrapped around the seasoned eggs, cooked to perfection with a surprising crispness on the outer edge. The main course was a Reuben sandwich, which left me in childhood memories of grandma’s classic sandwich. The corned beef is plentiful, slightly smokey, and well balanced beneath a modest layer of dressing, cheese, and(as opposed to typical sauerkraut) small– to medium-sized morsels of steamed and buttered cabbage. The food, relaxing and tidy atmosphere, and service are well worth a try if in the area!

This is the epitome of a situation where a good chef suffers because of the service in a restaurant. We were in town for a baseball tournament and were staying next door. We arrived and told the hostess we had a large party, but would be willing to split up. There were two other tables eating. She put us in a private room so we could all sit together. We got no menus, had to track someone down to get them. Our waiter showed up and was a jerk. He very clearly did not want to be waiting on a table this big and made no effort to hide it. We told him we needed separate checks, he said«I’m just going to go down the row to take orders». Things were slow coming out, but we weren’t concerned as we knew we were a big group. One bison burger was under cooked; but the chef immediately corrected it. We had to ask three times for two of our kids meals, both of which finally came out after everyone else had eaten. The waiter brought the check and it was all together. We asked if he could separate and he said«no». We told him we were all paying paying separately. I took the bill and had figured each family’s meal, upon which we discovered that he has charged us for 6 drinks that came with kids meals. I balanced back to the total and was accurate, less the 6 drinks. Gave it to the waiter. 25 minutes later, he had 2 tickets finalized — and that was after he got someone else to help him at the POS station. I walked over and asked if I could help in anyway and the«helper» said«if you would have told us you needed separate checks we wouldn’t be in this situation». That was the point at which I reminded her that we did, and that I had hand figured the bill in half the time it took them to key what I had figured into their POS. I gave them 10 seconds to finish the checks or we were all walking out. They arrived 10 seconds later. At no point did we ever receive an apology. We were there almost 3 hours — close to an hour of which was simply trying to pay the bill. Thank goodness they were wise enough not to include gratuity. My recommendation? Don’t bother, and hope the chef finds a new place to cook. Clearly, the defense let this pitcher down and the team as a whole took a epic slaughtering.

Tried this place out as company is in town staying in the hotel right next to it. Menu reads good, but food is forgettable. Tried the Bison burger and fries. Again, the word forgettable keeps coming to the forefront. The burger unremarkable. The fries had clearly been sitting under a warmer for a couple of hours or they’re just big fans of having their french fries taste like slightly big versions of the potato stix in a can you might have had when you were a kid. Not sure. Either way, wasn’t impressed. Wouldn’t recommend the plate or this place really. Way better options around that area.

I am staying in Chesterfield so I could walk to this place. I should have believed the Unilocal rating and stayed away. I got the Scotch eggs for an appetizer. They were just OK. A little greasy but since I never had them before maybe they are supposed to be like that. I ordered the 14 oz New York Strip steak, rare. What I got was about a 9 oz. steak cooked medium. Flash fried spinach as a side tasted of french fry oil. For dessert I got a mixed berry something — it was hot mixed berries topped with raw wheat germ and a small scoop of ice cream. The wheat germ was so hard that I could not chew it. The meal was $ 55.00 total with an iced tea and tip.

I just paid $ 8.75 for 1 draft beer. really? Cassie… you’re cute and all but I’m not stupid. And for the record I left a $ 5 tip.

Had a work lunch here. A co-worker and I both ordered the Salmon BLT. After waiting 30+ minutes for food, it arrived. Instead of what I ordered I received a chicken club and my co-worker’s Salmon BLT arrived nearly completely raw. 15 later(the next time we seen the waitress) we had empty glasses and had to stop her from walking by. She seemed completely uninterested in our issues. Overall My Chicken Club that should have been a Salmon BLT, was okay. The layout of place was nice and it was clean. The service was the worst I have ever seen. Should have checked Unilocal before lunch… 2.5 seems high for this place.

Service was horrible! My salmon BLT was raw even though we waited over 40 mind for it. The waitress didn’t even care! We had 3 people and one order wasn’t even what he asked for. Again the waitress didn’t care. I will never go back.

The only thing I can say about this restaurant is run away. The name says it all. Be scared, be scared of getting food poisoning. The food here is god awful. Our waitress was the only thing that was decent with our entire experience. Fear the Scarecrow people.(Sidenote). I think they are only still open because they are in the hotel parking lot. Blech… cringe…ick…etc.

Tucked away at the corner of outer 40 rd and Conway, in a hotel parking lot is Scarecrow. The ambiance is nice and offers a good bar area for people wanting to watch a game. I ordered the mushroom risotto, and although it was cooked nicely, i wish i had ordered something else. My waitress was very kind in offering to bring me anther dish for free but i declined. It wasn’t bad, just not for me. My cocktail on the other hand was fantastic! I had the Hawaiian martini which was very good. The prices are kind of higher then other sports bars but the portions are large. The service was really good. If return to try something else.

I travel quite a bit and typically end up at up in Chesterfield. Food is good, priced right and there is a nice selection of beer on tap. Benchmark(2.5 star) restaurant is Chilis.

It was OK. Nothing great but nothing bad. Went in for happy hour. Wine selection was good, service was fine, and they do have a huge menu. We only got an app-the pretzels and cheese, tasty but very salty! Might go back for dinner.

Stopped in cause traffic sucked in 40 and we wanted to try someplace new. Seems like a family fun place. Reminds me a bit of a country bar. Just had happy hour drinks and the pretzels but it was all goos

Ok for happy hour. Drinks and service were good. Calamari app was ok but cost effective. We stayed at mariott next door so worked out for a quick pick me up.

I ordered the blackened shrimp pasta and the shrimp was sooooooo covered in blackened seasoning it brought tears to my eyes. Otherwise a delightful meal. Heads up, the kid’s hot dog is 2.5″ kinds — worlds smallest hot dog, definitely not a fill you up kind of meal. Overall it was good — I would be open to trying it again, but we would make some different food choices. And they had«just run out» of the pretzels, which I was looking forward to trying.

I had a business lunch here with a group of colleagues, one of whom suggested this place. The atmosphere was decent, although the bathroom had a peculiar smell — like one of those heavy handed, noxious scents intended to be pleasant but it backfired. The food is subpar and mediocre at best. I had a house salad and a bowl of chili. The salad was incredibly limp/soggy and rather tasteless and the chili was ok but nothing special. A colleague ordered the pretzel bread and another did a flatbread pizza that looked underwhelming to me. The location of this place is a convenient one for the three of us coming from different directions but there are too many other tasty options nearby to return here.

Definitely worth a try. Found this place on a random Google search. Waitress Noël was very kind. There was a slight mistake with my order, and she apologized many times and chopped off some of the bill. It was unexpected and very kind. This place was quiet and casual on a Saturday night.

Nothing major but it is conveniently located at the exit ramp of Highway 40W at Chesterfield Prkwy. The service is great, plenty of TV’s for you sports fanatics and news freaks, patio seating and great for happy hour, dinner dates and late night craving. The burgers are good(according to my dining partner, as I don’t eat red meat) and I had a salad which I kinda created on my own. It was simply greens, red onion, goat cheese and tomato. It was prepared to perfection and I appreciated the effort. Lastly, the ladies room was gorgeous for a bar grill.
