Giving 4 stars in the context of what it is — a fast food place. The place was packed for lunch during the weekday but the service was fast and all the open tables were cleaned promptly. I would categorize this as an upscale Arbys; I enjoyed it and will most likely return.

Good location. Roast beef is cooked properly(medium rare and pinkish as seen on the website photos), always very clean, and friendly staff.

Ok had French dip sandwich didn’t know I had to order cheese on it. Have gone back to other Lions Choice still it is not as good as Arby’s. The guy cleaning up the dinning room was awesome! He was happy to be working and helpful to all customers.

Tried Lions Choice for the first time on Labor Day evening for dinner. I ordered the large roast beef meal, my wife ordered a side salad and baked potato, and our daughter ordered the grilled cheese kids meal. Our daughter thought her meal was quite good. For a large roast beef it looked pretty small to me. I took a chance and tried the lions choice roast beef sandwich and it also looked quite small compared to their advertising. If I was a vindictive person I would sue Lions Choice for false advertising. The meat tasted good, but was saltier than I expected. My wife said au jus didn’t even taste like flavored water. My wife said the salad and baked potato were not all that great. Overall the meal was OK in terms of taste but way overpriced and not what is being advertised. We will probably not come back.

This review is strictly for the Lion’s Choice at this location on THF Blvd. I love love Lion’s Choice and the one at Olive and 270 is always spot-on and consistent, but this one sucks. This location just doesn’t meet standards. From always getting my order wrong(either forget to give me wheat bun, forget condiments, etc) to under and overcooked food, this location is a bad representation of the brand. The fries are always really undercooked compared to other locations and if you ask for the rarest meat, it’s consistently dark brown and overcooked. If I want rubbery meat, I’ll go to Arbys. This is the last time I’m giving this location a chance.

Stopped here today for lunch while out running errands. I usually order their roast beef sandwich but I thought to try something different., so I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. BIG mistake! It tasted like pork boiled in lots of salt and liquid smoke. I asked for coleslaw on it and tried adding some barbecue sauce to mask the flavor but I couldn’t eat it and I was STARVING ! I should have turned around and trried to exchange for the roast beef but no time. Thank God I ordered the meal so atleast I had some fries for lunch. Also not sure why they go with Kraft as their packaged BBQ sauce for an otherwise decent roast beef sandwich. It’s so awful and I’m sure there are other tastier options out there. Ideally they could make their own sauce and try getting something special out there. Hate to give a bad review but consumer beware.

I know, what kind of a guy takes the time to review fast food. We pretty much know what we are getting when we go in, right? Well, I had a birthday coupon for a free regular sandwich so for lunch I decided to use it. I have had roast beef at Arby’s and Hardees but never at Lion’s Choice. I guess we don’t always know what to expect. This is really not something I would get again. I posted a photo. Either they pulverize the beef instead of slicing or I happened to get a wad of crumbs that were cleaned up off the slicer. Well at least it was tender, but(close your eyes) can you taste that this is beef? I absolutely could not. All it tasted like was the seasoned salt(something like their version of Lawry’s) that they shook on top in excess. I can’t imagine a circumstance where this would be something I would eat on purpose. I suppose it is something that kids like. I also could recommend it to the toothless, since you can pretty much gum the sandwich. Aug 2015 — I know I said I would not order this again, but I got another free coupon and could not resist. It was at least as bad if not worse. This time the beef was very chewy, although still pulverized. It still had very little flavor and apparently no seasoning is applied when they roast it. They rely on a heavy dose of Lawry’s-like salt on your sandwich. I like salt and this is way too harsh. I was astonished at the drive through line the entire time I was there and the place was packed. I guess it is the same people who eat the other St Louis delicacy, provel. I promise, there will be no more returns. Free coupons notwithstanding. I just had to be sure. I’m just warning out-of-towners.

Always on my MUST list anytime we’re in St. Louis. First of all, their roast beef is awesome. I don’t generally like this type of roast beef, but Lion’s Choice won me over. My «go to» is a king size, well done with cheddar. I also love their chipotle ranch dipping sauce — wow, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Their fries are sooooo delicious! Skinny yummy fries. Sounds dumb, but their crushed ice is the BOMB! I like to eat some before filling my cup with iced tea(also really good). I hope they never take that ice away — it is so good! This location is one of the nicer ones. Really clean, really quiet, super friendly staff. We’ll be back hopefully really soon!

Eating at Lion’s Choice will change your life for the better! I can never get enough of their crisp, fresh french fries dipped in the chipotle ranch sauce! My mouth is watering just from typing that… this restaurant is a must-visit if you haven’t been already!

Growing up in St. Louis, Lion’s Choice has always been a favorite of mine and many St. Louis-ians. They’re known for their one-of-a-kind Roast Beef Sandwhich. If you’re ever in the area there is no excuse to NOT try this Sandwhich. I guarantee you, it will become one of your favorites!

You haven’t lived until you’ve had an original, delicious Lion’s Choice sandwich. And don’t listen to anyone who even dares to compare it to Arby’s. Fresh roasted beef, secret seasoning, and buttered bun. That’s great all by itself, but if you add the BBQ sauce and horseradish combo — OMG! So good. If you ever hear a bad review for Lion’s Choice, they are crazy.

This was a huge disappointment. The roast beef sandwich I ordered wasn’t completely cooked, the lump of meat that was supposed to be roast beef was small and looked like it was scooped onto the bun with an ice cream scoop, and the meat had the consistency of tuna fish salad. It was gross.

Lion’s Choice sucks… in OPPOSITEWORLD. here’s a secret: an early version of Three 6 Mafia’s «Sippin’ on Sizzurp» was actually called«Poundin’ Au Jus» but because the family that owns Lion’s Choice have deep ties to the Bloods they went with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to do their commercials instead.

Whenever I visit St. Louis I make sure I get my fill of Lion’s Choice. Lions Choice uses real roast beef with special seasoning, optional au-jus & horseradish sauce. Far cry from the rubbery-processed-spam-like Roast Beef served at Arbys. I’m not a big fries person but it wasn’t bad compared to other fast food fries. It was most and chewy. What makes one fast food fries better than another is just the food flavoring used on the outside. So bland is perhaps better in my opinion. My primary reason for going to Lions Choice is the Roast Beef. Forget all the other menu items. Keep in mind this is a fast food joint. For what it is the Roast Beef is pretty darn good.
