Vinny’s Taste Of Italy

This place is in the middle of nowhere, but it’s worth the trek! A true family owned restaurant in every sense of the word: husband, wife and daughter keep the place well run. Food is good, but what makes it great is how charming it is. There’s no real way to describe the charm of this place — go check it out for yourself! But make sure to call ahead — they won’t seat you without a reservation.

There is much more to Vinnys Taste of Italy than meets the eye. Too many people think Italian food comes from the Olive Garden. I would guess Vinny has forgotten more about Italian cooking than most chefs or servers at Olive Garden have ever learned. I wish I spoke Italian, so I could compliment him in his native language. Vinnys is quality, tasty, fresh ingredient food. It is traditional Italian food. It is very out of place in Chester County.
It is a family owned and run restaurant, and they are very friendly and attentive. They don’t push wine like that other ‘Italian style’ restaurant, but they are very quick to provide a very good recommendation for dining. The menu includes a variety of pastas, fish, chicken and beef entrées.
The wine list seemed very extensive and reasonably priced, but I am not a wine drinker.
I love ravioli, and was not disappointed with the meat ravioli and Bolognese sauce. My companion ordered chicken piccata, which is a signature dish of mine in my own kitchen. This entrée was served with mushrooms, and was very lemony. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and pounded to just the right thickness.
Support Vinnys Taste of Italy! It is not a chain restaurant, it is a true mom-​and-​pop business, and deserves our patronage. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with your meal.

I can’t possibly say enough good things about this restaurant. No matter what you order you’ll be treated to some of the most delicious food you’ve ever had. And the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Interestingly, for such fantastic food, the menu is surprisingly affordable.
Don’t let the exterior fool you, this place is amazing. And save room for dessert!

What a fantastic hidden treasure. This little gem found in Chester, SC can hold it’s own compared to any Italian restaurant ANY place else. Vinny and Freda make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. The service is superb, the ambience is perfect, the food is spectacular. I had the chicken eggplant over spaghetti. I ate it all in record time. It was better than delicious. I couldn’t believe how good it was. I shared bananas foster with my wife. It was fantastic with the addition of angel food cake to it. What a great idea!!! The menu is full of a lifetime of wonderful foods from salads, breads, entrees, desserts and wines. Vinny’s special cheese is such a treat. Find this place and you will shake your head in wonderment and vow to go back as soon as you can. It is well worth the trip. Many thanks to Vinny and Freda for all your work and your dedication bringing Italy to Chester. Unbelievable!!!

My husband and I visited Vinny’s yesterday and were treated to an awesome, authentic, Italian meal with outstanding service. We were treated as though we were in someone’s home. The ravioli was superb as was the tiramisu we had for dessert. Thank you, Vinny, for a wonderful dining experience. We will be back soon.

Great food, great service. Don’t miss this authentic Sicilian menu. If you are looking for Stouffer’s, don’t go here.

Stopped in for lunch at the amazing restaurant only to be greeted by two fantastic personalities. Vinny the owner and Cindy the Hostess/​Waitress. Food was great. What a find! Sure hope I get to come back here on my next trip to SC.

I agree with Wade. The food is absolutely the best in the area and the service was amazing! Vinny himself greets you and Cindy is so friendly. If it weren’t so far from Ohio I would come here often. So glad we found this restaurant!
