Tydans Moving

This moving company is unprofessional and I would never recommend them to anyone. I had broken items, scratched furniture, and filthy furniture blankets were used. I found that someone in the crew was also spiteful. I had additional charges and the cost was far far beyond what I was led to believe i.e. there was an extra charge for my refrigerator and washer to be moved. And a travel fee coming to my home and then to the storage unit which was no more than a ten minute drive each way. This was a total screw job and the guy (not the boys) was totally arrogant. I cannot say enough negative things to sway people not to use them. I don’t feel right giving them a star. There should be a negative star section!!!

I was not allowed to inspect the contents of my storage locker until AFTER I signed a document stating that none of my belongings were missing.
Naturally, all of my hunting, fishing and one rifle and all ammo were gone.

90% of our experience with Tydans was great. The 10% that lacked was the pushy supervisor who dropped the two VERY NICE and hardworking movers off. He also came back to pick them up and I started having issues when I was asking for clarity on additional charges. I simply wanted clarity as to why we were incurring additional fees (they quoted us for four hours, but we had to pay extra for their driving time to and from their warehouse an hour and 15 minutes each way, but over the phone the driving time was estimated at 45 minutes). The explanation was rather simple, but he was unable to concisely explain why we were being charged more. Additionally he ran my credit card on an old hand swipe machine multiple times and then had one of the movers swipe my card on the Square. When I asked why he was running my credit card manually and then electronically it took THREE times of me asking to get a concise answer. He was pushy, lacked customer service and I felt like he was trying to get over on us. All I wanted was simple explanations for the charges and some respect and I didn’t get it. I would recommend this moving company sans the pushy supervisor. The movers that helped us out were fabulous, polite, careful with our materials, great with our dog and an absolute pleasure to do business with. If this company wants return customers they need to work on their supervisor model/​training.
