My experience here was just average. Firstly, I absolutely HATE a bbq place that does not cut a half rack of ribs for you. How hard is it to cut up a half rack of ribs for your customers? Instead, they serve you one large blob of ribs, leaving you to pull unevenly from it. This was something that my entire family complained about. The sauce is vinegary and not anything special. The meat tasted ok, but the whole package was just pretty subpar. The fried okra was delicious, and we really enjoyed the hush puppies. A family member ordered the catfish and said it was very good, so I wish I ordered that instead of the ribs. All in all, this was a pretty underwhelming experience. All of these great reviews had us all excited about some Virginia ribs, but we left disappointed. I will spend my money elsewhere the next time I visit my family in Chester

We have never been inside to eat they normally stay pretty packed but they have great family take out options. The only complaint is that the sides that come with the family meal will not feed a family of four so you will want to order extra. They generally give plenty of condiments and will include buns or hush puppies your choice. The corn fritters are delicious!

I would never recommend this place to anyone. Almost $ 9 for a lunch that wasn’t worth $ 3. Wasn’t enough meat on the sandwich to even cover the bun and I have never seen slaw look like that. Save your money for a real BBQ restaurant.

Sibley’s is awesome, great food and friendly service. Biggs needs to take notice they have great BBQ but disgusting service.

We ordered takeout from here. We had the pulled pork family pack. The pork was just okay. It had some gristle pieces in it and some fatty pieces. The pork came wet but we ordered dry with sauce on the side the smoky flavor was there but upon getting out of the car to pick up, I never smelled smoke nor inside. I wonder if they smoke on site. The sides we chose were okra and baked beans. The baked beans are most definitely bush baked beans from a can, I thought that was disappointing as most bbq places the beans are awesome, not so much here. The okra was good but small portion. The bbq sauce however was delicious and went back to buy a bottle. Its sweet and spicy sauce.

I had the BBQ Jumbo sandwich with two sides. The sauce and coleslaw made the dish. I was not disappointed for a lunch meal, however there are other places for better BBQ. Not the worst place to eat…

Sibley’s was just OK. Not my favorite BBQ joint, especially because there are so many different and more tastier locations to choose from in the Richmond area. As usual, I went with a pulled pork sandwich, a «Jumbo BBQ» sandwich. I just decided to stick with the sandwich, since none of their sides jumped out at me, and they were out of mac n cheese! Tsk tsk. I at least enjoyed my filling sandwich, with some slaw on it, and their BBQ sauce. While it was filling and tasty, it’s not the best. My husband got the half rack of ribs with potato salad for one side and the other I just can’t recall. The potato salad was just ok as well. Like someone else wrote, the bbq here is not the best, but it’s not the worst either.

My wife has brought home take out from Sibley’s on a few occasions and we are satisfied with the serving size and taste of the BBQ pulled pork. The slaw is ok and we get the rolls but I haven’t eaten anything else from this establishment so go ahead and try it out and let us know what you find.

Great food. Their BBQ sauce is great. The Mac and Cheese is probably on of their best sides. We had the Brisket and BBQ Pork. I would highly recommend both. I would stay away from the corn fritters in less you want cream style corn. The workers are some of the friendliest in the area.

It was not the southern style that I was used too. It was tasty but it wasn’t my favorite BBQ place. They are very friendly and happy to tell you what’s good. I’m used to Texas style BBQ and they missed the mark.

The service was very friendly. However, the brisket was over priced($ 14 for a small serving). The greens lacked any seasoning. The highlights were the mac n cheese and the sweet tea.

The barbeque here is not the best, but is also not the worst. I do love the vinegar based sauce, which makes the barbeque more enjoyable. The corn fritters, fried okra and mac ‘n’ cheese are pretty good. Based on the location you can’t be too picky when it comes to barbeque. The homemade peanut butter pie is awesome! The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I will be returning in the future.

Back in the day we loved coming here but I’m guessing their increased competition has forced them to start selling mostly sysco bucket food. Nothing, and I mean nothing, tasted homemade. The Mac and cheese lacked flavor and was mushy. The hush puppies that are raved about are frozen hush puppies fried in dirty oil. The rotisserie chicken appeared to be roasted, not rotisserie. The pork bbq was dry and tasted days old. I really hope this was a fluke but I miss the old Sibley’s :( VERY overpriced considering how much of it came from a premade product.

Man, I always got the bbq when we went there. We decided to go wild and got ribs, chicken and Brisket. The Brisket. Oh yes. That was so good. Im done with the bbq for a while I have to get a brisket fix there for a while. The ribs were great too. Not dried out microwaved stuff like applebees but nice juicy rack pieces. Im hoping to find a place that does the ‘lollipop ribs’ but have not seen any since loggy bottom closed. Still not a fan of the sides though the redskin potatoes had zero taste and the greens are just from a can.

This is the beat BBQ that I have ever had outside of my own home. The brisket and ribs were fork tender and the Mac and cheese was outstanding. We took home pecan pie and peach cobbler for dessert and that did not disappoint! This will be my go-to place for BBQ!

We went there last night, mouth watering for ribs only to be told that they were out of ribs and chicken! We were sooobummed. How can a BBQ joint run out of ribs? We got up and left.(it was after 8pm on a Tuesday eve.)

Had some family in for the weekend, and decided to stop here for a quick lunch on our way out Rte 10 to one of the plantation. Turned out to be a good call. There were five of us and everyone enjoyed their lunches. Most got the pulled pork platter, but I had the brisket platter. It was very good, and the corn fritters & hush puppies were awesome. Heard the same comments from our group about the mac-n-cheese and the coleslaw. The only negative was the baked beans… they’re really just pork-n-beans. There is a difference! The place is clean, the service was fast & friendly, the prices are very reasonable and the sweet tea is great. We will be back to Sibley’s.
