Wow! We just had an amazing sushi/​sashimi dinner for two! My husband and I saw this place from Route 50 on our way home and decided to give it a try because we love sushi. I’m so glad we did! The staff is friendly, the place is bright and clean, and the food is absolutely fresh and so delicious! It’s definitely on my list for after work eateries from now on!

Went in on a whim and was delighted! Very fresh sake sashimi and a delicious shrimp tempura roll. Very clean and nice!

Very good! Loved the bento box! You get a lot of food for a very decent price. The kids meals are a great deal as well. The fried rice could use a little improvement but overall we were very pleased with our experience.

First time visiting today while waiting for traffic to stop being ridiculous.
The place is small, but it looks neat. I should have taken a picture. The service was polite and helpful. I ordered my sushi to go, it was ready in about 5 minutes. I ate it when I got home, taste was excellent. The only thing I’m not a fan about is they rolls are $ 5 for 6 pieces — which is on par. — but Ichiban has a 3 for $ 10 special, which I figured this place would try to match what the already established sushi establishment had going.
Great over all, but I’ll take the 18 rolls for $ 10 or their 12 rolls for $ 10.

Sushi was fresh and yummy. Service was good. Price was reasonable. Would eat here again.

Great sushi. I Like the bento box good deal. Great service. Very clean. Had spicy tuna roll and tuna roll and CA. Roll very good. Will keep trying the menu. So far everything has been great.

Shogun has only been open for a month or so and today my daughter and I decided to try it out. We went in about 2:30 on the 4^th of July, so the place was empty except for one carry out customer. I wasn’t scared away as the place was very clean and my 9 year old loves sushi.
As noted in another comment the bathrooms were clean and very nice. Now for the food and service…
We ordered a variety of apps, shomai, edamame, and a «Japanese Snack» (can’t remember the name but that is the description on the menu) which were small fried balls with octopus in them. The shumai were very good, the octopus was good, but I would pass the next time. I am a sucker (pun intended) for octopus. Whereas edamame are usually room temp when served, these were a little hot, but still tasty. We also got a Spider roll and spicy tuna roll. These were both good, though I have had better. I believe these were $ 11 and $ 9 respectively. The apps were in the $ 5 range.
Service was excellent though only one other couple was in there before we left. It was not lunch time though. I recommend Shogun and will go back to try some other options. I think they will do just fine.

Kent island really did need a third sushi place for quick take-​out, and Shogun fits the bill. Their prices are the best around and the fish is fresh. The spicy tuna bon bons are redonkulous — about the size of your fist and essentially a halved, pitted avocado with spicy tuna in the center and tobiko on top — figuring out how to eat them with chopsticks is an amusing way to pass the time until your main course arrives. I’ve both eaten in and taken out; even though they’re newly opened we’ve been here four times since they started business. My only complaint is that their signature rolls selection is a little small; would love to see some more variety; we nearly always get the spicy dragon and rainbow rolls. Also, their iced tea is from a syrup machine and not brewed fresh, for the tea lovers out there. All in all, a great place to stop for take-​out sushi.

Great place! Super clean and fresh food! The bathrooms are super nice, and I was impressed with their Bento Box portions.
Service was excellent and their soda was also from a new machine.
Finding good food on the road is hard, but this place is worth stopping in.

We choose to spend father’s day lunch at Shogun while we were out and had a very pleasant lunch at Shogun’s. Everything was very good and in good quantity. The environment is very friendly, casual, and there are 4 teriyaki meals for the kids. Seating is limited and is perfect for take out.
