It was much better then it is now. I used to go several times a month but over the last couple of years it has declined in appearance and food assortment. There are better places to go now.

The Great Taste Buffet has been removed from our list of regular rotation. This place has good food — I went there at least once a week with several co-workers when I worked at BE&K about 4 miles west. That is until I got laid off during the Great Recession of 2008 – 2009. Afterwards, my wife & I would go at least once a month. However, we’ve noticed a steady decline in upkeep. Almost all the booths’ seating cushions have been ripped or cut. They’ve been taped up but are just plain poor condition. The service staff are constantly changing. They used to have a napkin dispenser on each table — now the waitress leaves a stack of napkins — sometimes not enough. And they’re the super cheap, small ones that make you use several at a time. The soy sauce container caps always leak out of the cap/bottle joint. The sauce needs to come only out of the opening in the cap like it’s supposed to. Several leaks and you’re using up more of your napkin supply. The food selection has been reduced — not really noticeable to someone who’s never been before but definitely discernible to a «regular». The carpet needs to be changed — it’s been stained with so much spillage over the years, it’s unsightly. It’s cleaned all the time, but you can’t clean those stains. Basically they’ve just gotten ‘cheap’ in taking care of the place and replacing worn out damaged items and reduced other necessities. The food is still good.
