I’ve been to this place several times and I enjoyed it every time I visited. The servers are awesome because they are really nice and refill my drink even my drink still got half way full and the hibachi grill is always taste fresh and good. So if you want a place to eat when u r super hungry this is definitely the place to go!

Service was rude, they refused to take my coupon for no apparent reason, and the food upset my stomach terribly. Don’t go here under any circumstances.

This place is one of the more expensive Chinese buffets I’ve been to in the area. It’s 11.99, not bad for all you can eat but many are under 10 bucks for dinner prices. The service is always great here. I’ve been here dozens of times with family and every single time the service is awesome. The food? Hit or miss for the most part. A lot of things were a bit dried out. The fried chicken wings were TINY. I almost don’t think it came from chickens. it looked like they were probably Cornish hen wings which is odd. The egg rolls were dried out. The soup was good, noodles were good, chicken and broc good. I like that the Mongolian grill has a lot of options. and you can make your plate, leave it and make a buffet plate. The guy will cook your food and cover it up when it’s done for you to pick up. For the price I would expect a smidgen higher quality food than the cheapie buffets and less dried out options.

I have not visited this place in like eight years maybe even longer than that. However, I do not remember having a four star experience when I last visited. As a result, I am proud to rate this place almost 5 star stellar! I was super hungry last night and wanted some awesome protein and yummy veggies. I live in Chesapeake(near 664) and we do not have the luxury of having some of the awesomeness of places to grab a healthy meal to go — fast food! But I was in the area and remembered, hmmmm well this place does have hibachi, hmmmmm but last time I had it, I didn’t like it. Well it’s been years since my last and only experience so I figured it’s time to revisit and hope for the best. ITWASSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWORTHRETURNING A SECONDTIME! This time around I loved it! I do remember, like before, the hibachi fixings are limited compared to other Mongolian restaurants. Nevertheless, I saw a good amount of protein(chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, crab) and I went in!!! Now, the veggies were limited. And limited because I didn’t care for half of the options. For example: mushrooms, onions, water chestnuts etc. I don’t like any of those veggies. But what I did appreciate and got plenty of: broccoli, green peppers, carrots, celery, and I scrapped the last bit zucchini onto my plate. I also got a few yellow noodles to make my belly just right. Like some other places, this spot doesn’t pack white rice with your hibachi and that was ok with me. I didn’t need to the unwanted calories anyway. I was happy and still hoping for the best. So yeah, at the hibachi grill, you get a plate(normal size) and put as much as you can on the plate. Once the plate is filled to your liking, you can either choose your sauces or have the chef choose them for you. Last night, I use a 4 oz cup for my sauce concoction. I added some of the oils to give my meal a hot kick! I used: sesame oil, chili sauce and two or three others. Whatever I used it was slammmmmmmmmmin! Awesomeness! After the food was cooked and placed in a to-go container by the chef, the cashier came over to get my food and placed it on a scale. Oh wow, so they weigh your food if it’s to go. I think I like this option, because no matter how big or small my plate is at some other similar restaurants there is a flat price plus tax. So I didn’t feel cheated. Yay! My meal last night was only $ 6(tax included)!!! Let’s see all the pros here: it was after 9pm, I was able to get a healthy meal, no fried food and it costs under $ 10 and I was full and comfy at the same time. Oh yeah I will be back! Now the buffet side of the restaurant I cannot speak on it, because I am not a buffet kinda lady. Nevertheless, it was about 9:20 pm on a Tuesday and I noticed about 10 people in the restaurant. The restaurant closes at 10pm. So I’d say they do pretty well on a weeknight. I can imagine why all the low stars, but the hibachi grill, if I was to return(and I will) this will be my go to! Have fun :)

Bland. BLAnd. BLAND!!! This place is below average at best. Much of their food is bland, the shrimp were overcooked, and the other things like general tso was just ok. The dessert selection was lacking. No sushi anywhere. The chicken wings were so dry you have to eat them in the rain.

The waitresses and hostess are wonderful! The food is just okay and expensive for what you really are getting. For our family of 6 drinking water we paid $ 70 not including tip. I don’t mind taking my family out and paying for what I get. I just don’t think you are getting what you pay for here. Food is okay. It was nice to have good customer service!

I’ve been here before but not in a few years. The owner and staff are very friendly and attentive. The buffet selections are decent. A good place for kids and family to enjoy a variety of food at a decent price.

This is the closest buffet to my home. As much as I like getting a deal just like everyone else, the price doesn’t seem to meet the quality. For one, the bar has shrunk over the years. Also the food quality is definitely on par with«just another buffet». I wish I could say much more about this place but I can sum it up real quick: If you’re looking for a place to completely overstuff yourself on food that’s «ok» — go here. If you’re looking for a wide variety of food that’s chinese-‘esque’ — go here If you like either of those and don’t mind spending a bit of money on it… this is the place for you. Other than that, if you want something more than above, go elsewhere. Food Taste: 3 Overall Service: 3 Value of food to cost: 3 Facility: 2 Repeat customer: pending Dog Friendly: no

So apparently I’ve become a glutton for punishment because a fellow foodie associate of mine and I have been overdoing the Chinese buffet thing. I should have known things were off to a bad start when our waitress plopped our cups down on our table, tossed our straws at us and then walked off without uttering a word. She kind of didn’t even make a sound but we tried to gloss over it. The buffet was decent and offered pretty much the same things you would find at any Chinese buffet but the standout to me was the hibachi. It was better than any other buffet I’ve tried and that alone kept me from hating this place… at that time. Silence, the invisible waitress, was just that, practically invisible for almost the entire duration of our meal. Plates piled up and drinks were not refilled unless we flagged her down. The final straw was the bathroom. It was filthy. There was a faucet running for no reason and there was toilet tissue matted to the toilet seats. Finally the torture was over when we went to pay at the counter, or so we thought. My associate tried to crack a joke and«Silence» actually attempted to smile but when she saw no tip was left on the credit card receipt she began to frown, speak angrily in Chinese and threw the little wallet thingy behind her and stormed off. Sooo yeah, this was not an enjoyable dining trip and umm, I think I have the Asian buffet lust out of my system. Note: The events in this review actually happened as described. In no way, shape, form or fashion has anything been exaggerated. Practice extreme caution when even considering this place. In case this needed to be said, I would not return.

I’m back in VA visiting my family. We all decided to go out to Buffet City to get some ways. Chinese was the food of choice for dinner! Upon entry you are happily greeted by the hostess and quickly seated. To your left is the main counter with all the usual Chinese decorum and to your right is a large fish fountain. The setting is quite spacious. Plenty of seating from front to rear. I have heard this restaurant is known to be busy, but tonight was a bit slow. The selection of food is vast as well. If you fancy Mongolian BBQ, then you got that here! My grunts about this restaurant are: The selection of food is great but not all items are fresh… a bit dry when ready to eat(chicken wings, pork egg rolls, fried shrimp) The music I want to assume is native tongue and quite upbeat. Maybe there could be music that’s more mellow and translated so we could know what the song is about b/c one waitress we asked didn’t know what the song was/about. In the end, pretty great eats with a side of American food. Come and enjoy!

This place had the nerve to still charge me my meal after biting into a raw pork dumpling. A 20% discount isnt enough if I get food poisoning!!! Being in the restaurant industry, this is a freaking joke! Never again…

I have been here twice for lunch. I had a great experience every time. The food was hot and was actually delicious because it can be a hit or miss when it comes to buffets. They have these stuffed, what looks like huge clam shells with a crab dressing of some sort… absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I have taken a friend and she really enjoyed it. The staff was friendly and the prices are great!

Well wasn’t very happy. I’ve been to plenty and when I find one I like. We will always go back often. Unfortunately this does not fall into that category. The selection at the Buffett was not very good, the food seemed to be kept at very low temperature. Almost glad they didn’t have a sushi selection. Service was normal so no complaints there. Way over priced for its quality. I doubt we will be back. Also not child friendly, they must understand like other buffets do, buffets are usually a big family draw that brings children. Sorry guys you bombed out for us.

This is probably my 10th time coming to this buffet in the past ten years… but the 1st time since their renovation. I normally only eat from the Mongolian grill, but I thought I would live dangerously and go for the buffet. I made two trips and the big thing that stood out was the food temperature. On the 1st go around the temperature of the food was a bit warmer than room temp(mind you, I came during peak lunch time). The second go around, the temps were better, but not as hot as I would prefer(or should be). PROS: –large selection –not overly dominated with seafood –plenty of soups –Mongolian grill always good –waitress was attentive –nice atmosphere –clean CONS: –food temps to low. –salad bar is skimpy –Buffett not so kid friendly if they are not big Chinese eaters. -$ a little high for lunch.(Then again… some patrons are noticeably eating more than a normal stomach can handle)

This is a disgrace. A pathetic excuse for an establishment. Myself and some friends visited here our of curiosity. Loud, Dirty, and Inexcusable. I thought Happy Buffet(located near Lynnhaven was bad), this takes the cake. By far! I don’t even want to go into details about the mediocre servers, because it’s not even worth it. Garbage. The décor was old fashioned, needs to be repainted :-/ The food was subpar at best. People need to stop supporting buffets like this. Places that serve rubbish to their customer. It’s the consumers fault for going.

I went here with over 75 of my family members to end our family reunion. That’s right. Seventy-five. There was plenty of room for everyone to sit comfortably and plenty of food for us to eat! The best thing here: The Mongolian bowl. You get to pick your vegetables, meat(chicken, beef, pork) noodles, rice and there are nearly two dozen oils, sauces and seasonings for you to pour in little cups to flavor your bowl. You pile everything on a plate, stand in line and a guy cooks your ingredients FAST. If your bowl tastes bad, it’s your own fault LOL I did not try any of the seafood but it seemed to be a popular choice and there was also plenty of it: crab legs, scallops, clams, and shrimp on the buffet, well worth the $ 11.99 price on a Sunday. Standard General Tao, pepper steak, broccoli beef, spring rolls, egg rolls, lo mein, fried chicken wings, tappanyaki chicken are on the buffet too.

This is one of the better buffets. Not quite Captain George’s, but about a 6 on the buffet scale of 1 to 10. After seeing the commercial for this place«You come, you like» I KNEW I had to go and like. The food was all pretty fresh and someone was continuously walking along the lines to make sure pans were full and counters were clean. They have all of the usual suspects: orange chicken, general tso, beef and broccoli, white rice, fried rice, lo mein… and yes crab legs. That’s a hard thing to do at a buffet, maintain cleanliness that is, people are SLOPPY McDIRTY… Needless to say, the atmosphere is nice, lots of fish in tanks and if I had to choose a local buffet to go to, I would come here again.
