A H Wickline Jr Chimney Sweep

I spent Thursday-​Saturday playing phone tag with Mr Wickline. We finally connected about 1p Saturday afternoon. I told him my chimney needed cleaning sometime between now and when it gets to ‘fire season’. We decided on 5pm today.
He shows up with his helper BJ (I’m real bad with names so I hope I got it right) and… OMFG.
My chimney is clean.
My wood stove insert is clean including the inside glass.
I had some rusting on my wood stove. Treated the rust and painted with hi-​temp paint.
The flashing around my wood stove is repaired and re-​bolted to my wood stove.
2 chimney caps. 8×8 and 8×13
Cleaned up their mess.
All of this took 90 minutes-​part of which was chatting with Mr. Wickline.
He’s very personable. I don’t like many people. I liked him.
The last chimney guy I had come out told me inside of 5 minutes I needed $ 3887 in repairs/​liners and when I didn’t go for the OMG your house could burn to the ground tomorrow scare, gave me a half assed cleaning and left. F–
It’s funny-​Mr Wickline never mentioned me needing almost $ 4k in repair work-​which he could have done. He didn’t try to sell me anything past what I asked of him. Chimney caps-​all me. No upsells.
