This place was better than I expected. Total dive but that’s fine with me. Could tell it’s a locals kind of bar by the awkward looks we got when we walked in. The décor was like a pizza place from the 80’s. Thought the place was going to be a complete dump, but I’ve been in a lot worse than that. Decent drink specials.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Disgusting and classless. The restaurant and the staff.

Okay fellow Cherry Hill and surrounding areas peeps, local ‘don’t go there’ alert. I went to the Red Eagle Tavern on Chapel Ave in Cherry Hill tonight because I had a $ 10 coupon. I just bought the coupon last week. They would not honor the coupon. They said they have tried to pull their name from the site. While I understand they have tried to remove their name from , it was only a $ 10 coupon on an $ 80 bill. I was in the restaurant business for years and as a manager I would have ate the $ 10 as goodwill and future business. I know full well they made more than $ 10 on the first round of drinks. Pass the word. Don’t go.

Had a place to chill with my Vietnamese little brother. I just like chillin with him once in a while and we found this place years back. The late hours 2am and late open open kitchen til 12am are nice. Quiet is good so then we can talk. Havent seen my little Viet brother in a while…

This place is an absolute disgrace. I don’t care if it’s labeled a «dive bar«. That doesn’t mean you can break health code. The drinks are terrible. The food is just utter garbage and there are dogs… yes…dogs walking in and out of the kitchen and into the bar. Seriously? Dogs in the back where the food is being made? Seriously pathetic. Also the only people you’ll find here is your local alcoholics. Don’t ever waste your time/money at this place. It’s even an eye-sore to drive by.

Can I give ‘no stars’ as we did not sample anything as the bar turned us away? Went last night ¼/13 Saturday night a little after 6:00 pm. Had a $ 10 coupon 4 people in our party plus thought it would be cool to try this place-drive by it a lot but never went in. First sign of trouble 2 cars in the parking lot on a Saturday night of a BIG Eagles game. Second sign-3– yup– 3 people in the bar the bartender and an older couple-may have been the owners? Lastly, we were told that the place didn’t take the coupons. Given we were a party of 4 and would have spent quite a bit of $$ here on food/drink-I don’t get how this place turns business away-given it only had 3 people in there on a big Sat night Eagles game. Now after reading other reviews-I’m glad we didn’t stay. My curiosity has been satisfied-a slowly dying ‘old man’s bar’. We went to Dooney’s in Delran instead-no coupon but a more welcoming attitude and the place was jumping.

had a coupon from Restaurant com and figured we would try it out. Went at 6PM on a Saturday, expecting it to be crowded. The bartender saw the coupon in our hand and said they dont honor these coupons. We walked out. There were only two people sitting at the bar, otherwise dead. I would think this place would be grateful to have a family of four walk in, but they rather turn business away. Cant imagine how this place stays open.

Here’s an honest review. When a place bills itself as a dive bar, you’d think they’d cater to a certain crowd. I’ve been here a couple nights now and it’s like being invited to a party and everyone is friends with each other and you’re the odd one out. You’re immediately met with suspicion if you arrive outside happy hour and if you don’t order food after this time you’re scowled at. In a nutshell, make sure you’re friends with a regular, don’t expect to get drunk, don’t expect good food. This is a LOCALS hangout who don’t want anyone except LOCALS being there.

I don’t know if Steve G. has been back since 2007, but we were here in 2013 and I would not describe it was more depressing than West Africa. Depressing, maybe. But not West Africa depressing. It’s a dive bar, what do you want? Popular with the blue collar locals. $ 3 Coors Lite, Miller Lite kinda place. Affordable food specials. Pool table. Bartender was very nice.

Steak meat on sandwich had an eerie texture and was cold. Soda was stale and tasted«off». Wings were odd. They were obviously chicken wings, but had a shape and size not consistent with anything you would find in a restaurant or a supermarket. The bartender/cook was a nice guy, though and they had a great south park pinball machine. Stay away from the food. I’m not so sure I’d feed it to my dog, if I had one.

Overcharged us by like ten dollars. Bartenders are extremely rude & drinks are WAY overpriced. Whatever you do, don’t order a non-alcoholic drink. They charged me $ 3 for a sprite & $ 3 more for a refill. Didn’t find out until it was time to pay the tab. When I confronted the bartender(with a stern voice, but not yelling) he threatened to call the cops. I then asked to speak to his manager. He came back and told me the manager was laying down & couldn’t be bothered.

Nice local tavern right in the middle of Cherry Hill’s high end shopping district, with a super friendly staff and prices at half of what all the other chain restaurants in the area are trying to get away with. Never gone here and not had a great time and met tons of people. Also their pizzas are awesome.

Quite literally the most depressing place I’ve ever been; and I’ve been to West Africa.
