You can never go wrong here. We started with a bottle of Meiomi and then ordered the New York Strip, the asparagus with hollandaise, the jalapeño Mac and cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and salad wedge. So yum! Finished up with a delicious crème brûlée ;) Hoping this delicious dinner is the beginning of a night full of winnings!!!

LOVE this restaurant! It is located in the casino, but once in the restaurant you don’t hear the cha-chings. The ambiance is outstanding. Food is top-notch. Highly recommend.

Never have I ever left a restaurant so angry. Walked in at 9:15PM with my boyfriend after a long day and all we wanted was a nice dinner and to unwind after our whirlwind of a day. Off the rip I knew it wasn’t going to end well but I was hopeful. Asked for bread and was told«let me go see if we have any» then not even 5 minutes later the manager comes over to the bar right beside us and says to the bartender in not so quiet voice«were closing in 2 minutes, no exceptions… I’m not sitting up here all night.» mind you 6 other people were sitting at the bar eating also. Paid 9 dollars for mashed potatoes that tasted like they came out of a box, we added salt and butter and that helped a little. $ 120 bucks for a meal that was definitely less than I’d ever expect from a Ruths Chris… Never had such a negative experience and we’ll definitely be spending our money at the Atlanta location next time where service is top notch and our visit is always appreciated.

I hold good steak houses to a very high standard. Ruth’s at Harrahs meets or exceeds those. Our waiter, Jake was exceptional. knowledable, friendly, and not overbearing. Steak was great, as expected, and the ambience was much better(for being in a casino) than expected. The visit to Ruth’s enhanced our visit to Harrah’s…by a lot.

Ordinarily we are fans of Ruth Chris. Nobody expects Ruth Chris to be inexpensive; however, this location abuses the fact that they’re the only decent sit down restaurant on the Casino property or in town. Nearly all items are a la carte; you should expect to pay more than $ 100 per person for a complete meal not including beverages, tax, and gratuity. We won’t be back.

Disappointed — My wife and I have visited this location several times before, we have also been to the Asheville NC location(it was a 5 Star experience). Our server was terrible, our water glasses were filled when we sat down and not again until we were leaving. Our waitress did not appear to want to be there. My steak(11oz filet was mediocre) my wife’s shrimp over cooked, our salads were inedible due to the amount of dressing they put on them(a wedge salad and a Ceaser). I don’t complain to waitresses or managers, I just don’t go back, and that will be the case here. We will return to the Asheville location as we are not disgusted with the entire Ruth’s Chris franchise just Cherokee.

Wonderful dinner here last night! We celebrated my brother in law’s birthday. We were seated right away after calling to get on the list. The service, food, and management was amazing! The Manager was kind enough to take a picture of us while we waited. The server even remembered the birthday boy’s name and brought him a special dessert without being asked. The food is pricey but probably the best steak and lobster tail I’ve ever eaten! Can’t wait to go back.

Actually it’s between a 3 and higher –We went on our anniversary –the staff was great. My wife loved her lobster and filet and all of her meal. I had a ribeye –average –most steak houses in TN better, Prices are way off from normal for same taste and quality. Drinks are absurd $ 11 for an average bloody mary -$ 13.50 for a not well concocted Brandy alexander. Staff was very good but food was average. $ 50 plus for entrees –way too much for quality.

Excellent establishment! Got seated right away. Sunday evening, very quiet. not too busy. Me and my husband ordered surf and turf. I had the filet with 2 lobster tails. He had the ribeye with 2 lobster tails, the appetizer was the crab stuffed mushrooms, the lobster bisque soup, the mashed potatoes and creamed spinach… ALL of it was excellent. Steaks were cooked exactly how we liked them. Our waiter was the best. Very pleased. Would definetly go back again.

What a terrible experience! There was nothing good about my dining experience at Ruth’s Chris. It was my husband’s birthday and I thought I would treat him to a nice dinner since we were going to the casino. I mean, where else would you treat someone in Cherokee? Probably would have been better off taking him to Eddie Rocket’s in the food court… First, it was a Monday night, so they were slowwww. No one greeted us for a solid 10 minutes and it was a full 25 minutes before I had a glass of wine sitting in front of me. Not a good start. The server was one of those who did not care whether you enjoyed your dining experience or not and it showed. There was another server nearby who was really working his tables and making sure everyone was having a good time, but ours certainly was not. The food was absolutely mediocre, at best. There was nothing even slightly«gourmet» about it. Being a vegetarian in a steakhouse, no, I do not expect to be blown away, but I expect something kind of good. The vegetables were all cold and bland. Nothing exciting at all. My husband also did not enjoy his steak. Lastly, I am not even certain what the dessert was, but I do know that if my husband wouldn’t even take a second bite, it must have been horrendous. I do believe that other Ruth’s Chris establishments(such as in Charlotte) are probably a lot better quality, but this one was a bitter disappointment.

Where else are you going to eat in Cherokee, NC? Had a magnificent 3 ½ lb lobster that was cracked and the meat served to me in a warm dish. User-friendly for sure. The sides were excellent.

Let me begin by saying, that usually Ruth Chris is normally spot on, but far from that on this evening. My wife and I travel to the Casino for some gaming action and dinner. We were aware of the dinning options and assume Ruth Chris was a no brainer. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. It begin bad and snowballed from there. First we called and made a reservation, the first opening was about 2hrs from the time we called, so we made the reservation as a precaution. We then decided to head over to the casino and see if we could grab a seat at the bar or do a walk in, after arriving, we were placed on the list to be seated in about 15−20min range, as the poorly group of hostesses mentioned. I said poorly group, b/c we gave the hosted our name and walked ten feet away, so not to stand in front of the entrance, b/c they said they would call our name. We waited 5, 10, 15, and I began to notice people walking up during the 5 min window and getting seated, so I assume they had reservations, then 2 – 3 more people in the 10 min window, after that I was pissed. so I walk over to the desk and double checked what was going on and the poor hostess said I just called your name, all that time we are standing there looking at everyone that walked up and I didn’t see any names called. Although there were four girl at the hostess stand, they do not leave from that post, nor do they call out names. After walking in and getting seated, I see a few of the walk ups seated adjacent and other areas of the restaurant and notice that the restaurant is maybe 65% full, there were like 10 table or so vacant. I’m still upset about the seating and the waitress we had made it no better. We waited a bit before she came, had to get water from the bar(should have walked out and cut our losses). We placed the order, Crab cakes, Fillet Mignon butterflied(Med Well) since the plates come out pipping hot, it will be cooking a little more and Stuffed Chicken, we shared Mashed potatoes. Crab cakes were charred on the bottom and mash potatoes were lumpy. Steak arrive Med and not butterflied, sent it back, they butterflied the steak and still came back medium. So I cut into the steak again, sent it back, they bring back the same steak after the three attempts, shriveled up and served it. The stuffed chicken was marginal, the blend of herbs and cheese, very poorly prepared. you could taste everything in separate parts. After all the dropping off and sending back, the manager never came over to our table, nor did the waitress suggest sending him, it’s also my fault for not ripping there azz for such poor service and not requesting a manger to come over. After the above, we still ordered dessert. The crème Brulee, even that simple dish was wrong, they overcooked the top. I will take pictures the next time for reference. So after the check comes, no my apologies for the mistake, is there anything we can do, nothing. So although you may feel that customer service is not important, it is, we decide where we spend our $$ and it will not be at Ruth Chris with that type of POOR reservations service, VERYPOOR hostesses, POOR waitress, POOR Chef and VERYVERYPOOR management. Very Dissatisfied and Disappointed Patron

I love this place! Everything from the food to the service was amazing. Our server was really friendly and she came by often to check on us. Even the manager walked around and asked if we needed anything else. A+ for service. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the spicy lobster for appetizer(definitely my favorite!) And the crab cakes for the main course. All in all, everything was great. Will definitely recommend this place.

Let me start by saying this, I will never complain about a meal with the hopes or expectaion of a discount… However, this time I felt it was something that should have been offered. First off the hostess was not friendly. Granted it may be because I was not dressed in a suit and tie and I was asking for dinner reservations at a resturant that serves $ 40 a’la’cart steak. Either way, the cost was not an issue as this was a birthday dinner for my wife. Second, we arrived 20 min early and though the resturant was only 50% seated we were told we would have to wait till our reservation time to be seated. Again no biggie Third. the fact that we were there for a birthday was not relayed to our waitress, again no Biggie, Side note. our waitress was awesome, and she had a great personality Forth, my wife ordered a filet steak mid rare that was served on time with the other 3 for our group. However its her birthday and her steak was SODRY it was not worth 5 bucks. Honestly i would not have ground that cut up and served it to a homeless dog. Fifth, and here is where a discount should have been offered, the waitress took the steak back and had another one made. it was about 20 min later when the birthday girls steak was served. mind you this was after all other steaks had been eaten and plates were being cleared. See my issue is the steak was replaced but not in a timely manner nore was any manager even interested in seeing this one was cooked right or that we were satisfied. Sorry for being long winded on this review. But this location is good, not Ruth Chris good, Not $ 40 a steak good, but it is 2 star good. Maybe on any other day this location would have been better, but not on this day.

Ruth’s is always great. Very expensive but worth it. The best steaks on sizzling plates. The lyonnaise potatoes are amazing. The asparagus was fresh.

I had to see what all the hype was about this place, so some friends and I decided to do dinner. We all had the filet & shrimp special and it was as to be expected. I agree with a previous reviewer that the shrimp were overloaded with seasoning. My steak was cooked perfectly and did come out sizzling in butter. We ordered brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes, mushrooms and asparagus as the sides and they were enough for all three of us to share and still have some to take home. The brussel sprouts were especially good, roasted with honey. I would have liked the asparagus better if they were grilled and not steamed. Mashed potatoes were the usual garlic mashed potatoes and the mushrooms were sauteed nicely. The dessert, was a combination of a chocolate peanut butter cupcake and some berries and cream. The cupcake was good, but very, very rich and I would have been fine with just the berries and cream. Overall the dinner was good. The steak was not anything special, but I do eat mine well done, so I’m not a steak connoisseur. It was definitely better quality than something you would order at Outback. I would go back for a special occasion or to have dinner with my husband, but I wouldn’t frequent this place. I would also order something off of the regular menu instead of the special to experience what the other options offer. The service on the other hand was exceptional. Our server was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed for our meal. The servers assistants were also very attentive.

5 Stars All The Way. Loved the place. Was expensive, but of course knew that before going. Food was excellent, and service was 5 stars. Got the porter house steak for 2. If you go, try the sweat potato casserole. Lord it was good!

The restaurant is located in Harrah’s casino, I arrived right at closing & expected to be turned away. To my surprise, I was seated with a smile. I ordered the ribeye, mushrooms & baked potato. OMG the steak melted in my mouth, best steak ever, cooked just right. The mushrooms are huge, a perfect marriage to the steak. The baked potato was very fresh & full of flavor! This experience was worth every penny!
