Chelmsford Dermatology

The treatments here are wonderful — but they really need to do something about their wait times. I always wait at least 45 minutes past my appointment time before I am called, then at least 15 – 20 minutes in the room before the physician comes in. My first time here, two other people came in and said they were seeing the same physician at the same time as my appointment — that’s three people who were given the same appointment time. Unacceptable. You can never make a plan or appointment for after your visit because you will most certainly be late. And twice now they have marked my arrival time down as ten minutes later than I arrived. They NEED to fix this — hire more physicians or NPs! It’s unacceptable!

I am writing this review as I am sitting in the waiting room for an hr now. This is my 2^nd time here, both times have been an hour or so wait. Just a minute ago, a woman went up to the counter and said she’s been waiting for an hour and asked how much longer because she has another appt. in an hour. The receptionist said to reschedule because she’s not gonna make it. Not even apologizing. The woman said, I can’t take another day off for this.
Another post mentioned this place is unorganized. It is true. I don’t know is because they’re going thru some system changes (as they claimed) but both times they couldn’t find me in the system and had to ask me for my information again.
I am still waiting and it’s an hour 10mins and counting. I don’t recommend this place unless you have a lot of free time.

I’ve been here a few times and each time I’ve been met with packed waiting rooms and 30+ minute waits. The doctors have been fine once you finally get in a room to see one but I have felt rushed. Overall, I haven’t been pleased.

They are always frustratingly over-​booked. I’m used to waiting a long time for my appointments, but here it feels like I’ll spend half an hour easily in a packed waiting room with people who have been sitting even longer than myself with 10 minutes until «closing» which seems to be a bit much.
My dermatologist is Yelena, and she was excellent. Her bedside manner was a little lacking (maybe I’m just a sensitive mush), but despite being a bit brusque she knew her stuff and was very knowledgeable. I also really liked that she knew what I was talking about too and she took what I had to say seriously and didn’t trivialize my own opinions. So while the office itself is something of a disaster, I do feel I get good care here.

Update:
So this place is worse than i originally thought. They have now lost record of my referral and 6 months later are billing me several hundred more for the mistake. I have tried over the span of several days calling them, but they no longer answer the phones there. I called the insurance company and they say this is typical of small businesses like this, looking to squeeze extra money from the consumers. I re-​iterate my previous statement– avoid this business as there are so many more out there, far, far better then here.
