DONOTGOHERE. I went his morning and bought a $ 40 pay as you go plan and a $ 10 sim. As soon as I left the store, I started having problems with my coverage. Only 1 out of 5 calls were going through, texts were failing, and my data kept dropping– it was completely useless. When I went back in the afternoon to return it, I was told that pay as you go is non-refundable and they said my phone(iPhone 4) was too old to work on their plan. Worst customer service, very rude staff. Avoid this store and T-mobile. I’m going to eat the cost and go with another carrier.

*Note this review is based on a call to 611(customer service) NOT a particular location. You’ll see further down why I picked the TN T-Mobile… I’m a long time customer of T-Mobile. 14 years long to be exact. I have to say that I’ve been through some ups & downs when it comes to their«smart» phones not always being so smart… Have even spent hours in the past on the phone with reps who were desperately trying to help me with certain issues(sometimes they could, sometimes they couldn’t) but if they couldn’t help, they’ve always tried to get to a specialist on the line that might be of help. No matter what the issue has been, they always have come through for me. That’s the reason I’ve been a very long time customer! My experience today just reinforced my loyalty to this company. Spoke to the ever most helpful representative — Chris from Chattanooga. I’ve had my most recent smart phone since around late 2012. I guess you could say it’s done it’s job & is ready for retirement! I stopped into one of my local T-Mobile stores a few months ago just to get an idea what was out there now. I have a Mytouch 4G slide(with the little keyboard that slides out for those who don’t know what that is)… I think they are becoming obsolete, that’s why I put it like that! Lol I’m not too sure the rep knew what I was talking about either until I described it. Anyway, there was a phone by LG that was quite similar to the one I have. Basically, it seems to be the last one like this T-Mobile is carrying. And it doesn’t sound like they will be around too much longer either :-(The phone, in my opinion, was a tad pricey. That’s why I didn’t buy it on the spot when I was browsing in the store. Unfortunately, my phone is pretty close to retiring within days, if it makes it, so it was time to call T-Mobile customer service & see what they could do for me. Well, they done good! I was even able to suggest the price range(within reason) that I was looking to pay. The fact that the phone may be on the verge of being discontinued in the near future probably helped my case some I think. I’d say I saved over $ 150. which ain’t too shabby! Chris was just a fantastic rep for T-Mobile. He did have to get approval from his supervisor & they even had to figure out some stuff as far as billing goes. Since I decided to pay in full & not do monthly payments seemed to make things easier on everyone! I spent about 50 minute on the phone with Chris & he really gave me the VIP treatment! So I send thanks to T-Mobile customer service for taking time to help out a long time customer & a HUGE thanks to Chris from Chattanooga who was really up for the challenge of my requests!(I hope he gets to see my shout out. He said there was another Chris in the group but I’m sure he’ll remember me)… Awesome job Chris & thank you again for making a long time customer feel valued! :-)
