I love Market West, unbeatable prices on virus software which really gets my hard drive going in the right direction. Not to mention many other items that come in handy, just made a succulent cactus basket from a very reasonable purchase of said basket, Waves to the knowledgeable staff!!!

We had a poor experience with this vendor for us to purchase a time clock on October 21, 2014 via e-bay user. First, when the picture was posted to advertise the time clock, it has time cards in the picture too. When we got our order and had paid $ 83.02, we were just sent the time cards and no clock, which is what we wanted. Therefore, we immediately notified this vendor and returned it with a signed proof of delivery from FedEx on November 3, 2014, so we awaited our refund. Second, in April 2015, we were going through an internal, customary, audit reconciliation at our company, when it was discovered a refund never came through. We provided the signed proof of delivery to this vendor and was told that there was«nothing they could do, as FedEx and USPS mess up deliveries all the time». We would have hoped to have worked something out, even partial credit, but were denied. Be careful on your next purchase and pray you don’t have to return something, if there is an error. BUYERBEWARE!

I’m being just slightly generous here: I’d rather give Market West two and a half stars, but that’s not possible with Unilocal’s rating system, so I’m erring on the side of generosity with my stars. This review is about their office supply warehouse, not about their computer repair services which I have never used. Market West is a fun place to poke around in — it’s in a warehouse with virtually no windows — a veritable rabbit warren of little office-furniture-lined trails and rooms and offshoots. I always seem to find something here I can use. But the prices??? Meh. They’re really not that amazing, in my opinion. A lot of their new, basic office supplies are priced higher than even the dollar stores, so there’s little need to shop there for that kind of stuff. Their other, non-basic new office supply stuff may be cheaper than Staples or Office Depot, but I can’t imagine it’s cheaper by much. They also carry a lot of merchandise that seems to be returns or discontinued stuff from the big office supply stores, judging by the stickers on them. Again, the prices don’t seem to be nearly as discounted for this stuff as one would hope. I do like their room of envelopes. You can’t buy odd-sized envelopes singly or in smaller bundles at the big office supply stores. You can buy them here. Market West’s office furniture seems to be a mix of new/newish(Office Max/Office Depot/Staples returns, maybe) and used stuff. And the prices for the used furniture are no amazing bargains. I was really surprised at how high some of the items were for a discount store. I’ve bought chair mats(for the floor, beneath the desk) here twice. They’re used, and they last about a year before they begin cracking. The prices of these used chair mats start at $ 17.50 for a small, thin one with no «teeth» on the bottom, so it’s for a non-carpeted floor. The larger ones were about $ 35. Definitely not worth it when it’s used, especially if you have to replace it again in a year. Severely lower your prices on these, Market West! And get that big four-foot stack of them out of the one room with a window — they’re probably baking in the summer, shortening their life even more! Coming here for specific items would seem to be a complete hit-or-miss endeavor — they may have what you’re looking for… or they may not. Or they may not have what you’re looking for, but, eh, this thing over here will do the job, I guess. I think Market West would be a great resource if you’re putting together a small office from scratch and don’t have specific ideas regarding furniture in mind, and you don’t need stuff that necessarily matches. Come in here, look around, and you may find stuff that will fit your space, maybe not at a remarkable discount, but a discount nonetheless. If you have the time, come here first, poke around, see what they got. If they don’t have it, go to an office supply super store and pick it up there. But otherwise I say with some sadness but sincerity, if you know exactly what you want and you need it quickly, head to a place you KNOW carries it instead.

Ok for all you folks that like to support neighborhood businesses this is a great one to know about. This place is INSANE! Room after room of office supplies — paper, pens, folders, stickies… you name it, but also chairs, desks, filing cabinets to the ceiling! You could spend ALLDAY in there. We were outfitting a new office workstation and got fantastic deals. They have one room of binders — incredible!

So I guess this place doesn’t only do computer repair. I came accross one of their adds on craigs list for a 4×3 white board.(That stuff proffesors write on). $ 3.00 becuase it was slightly damaged. I ain’t got much to tell you, let me quote direct from their business card: 30% TO70% OFF — OFFICE, SCHOOLSUPPLIES&FURNITURE!!! 30% TO70% OFF — OFFICE, SCHOOLSUPPLIES&FURNITURE!!! 30% TO70% OFF — OFFICE, SCHOOLSUPPLIES&FURNITURE!!! Place is right here in the valley, few miles away from CSUN, and they have a small warehouse full office stuff! If your a nerd like me, and you get off on office supllies, this place is for you. How could I better explain this, the ladies might help me out. Example: You got your Xmas bonus, a brand new credit card, and they just opened a new shoes warehouse, and you get to go in first!!! I think that might explain it.
