Amazing food and the friendliest folks! Nuf said, give it a try. Their barbeque sauce is out of this world, ribs cooked to perfection. I seriously have not had collared greens that taste so delicious.

Went for the first time yesterday. I was craving some serious fried chicken. We went at lunch time and it wasn’t offered on the lunch menu. But our adorable waitress said we could order off the dinner menu. I ordered the Cajun fried chicken, Mac n cheese and potato salad. Wow! 4 big pieces of chicken! It was really tasty with all those Cajun spices. Mac n cheese was creamy and potato salad had great flavor. We will definitely be coming back. Small whole in the wall, cute décor, great service and lots of fun.

This place is shit I’m surprised people don’t notice that they serve old ass food that comes microwaved or deep fried in the oils that have not been changed for maybe since they opened from the taste of there food the first review I gave this place was 5. Star BUT. Don’t mistake I didn’t give them a 5 star for the food I gave them a 5star for the free food and for the man that paid for all my food for me and my family so any hoo this place is trash it’s not soul food and I eat soul food often up in inglewood and Crenshaw where I have family friends that make real soul food and this shit don’t come even close to real soul food !! Save ur money and. A head ach dealing with these ungrateful greedy business owners and find some where else drive to LA that’s where u find good food

Came in right before the lunch rush and was super glad I did! The place got packed soon after we sat down. I was actually super surprised by their reasonable pricing! Plus their meals are filling! Got their ribs and they were SMOTHERED in sauce, which was great! And their fried catfish was flavorful. Everybody got the jambalaya which is the next on my list!

Sunday January 17th I came in around 6pm and even though it was getting busy they found a place for me promptly. I had a sweet tea and the sweetness was just right!!! I didn’t know how hungry I was so I ordered more than enough so I can take home. I ordered the killer combo. Hot link and roast beef with coleslaw and BBQ sauce on a frenchroll with a side of yams. I should of stopped there but I ordered 2 more hotlinks as an appetizer. The food was damn good. Mmmmmmmm.mmm. I finished everything and told myself how much or a fatass I was but told myself I deserve it once in a while. Great eat

My friend kept insisting on taking me to this place since she had it twice before and couldn’t stop talking about it. We came here on a Sunday night. Everything about this place felt like home. The small cute restaurant, décor, and service. We were welcomed with so much soul. The owner came by and sat with us and went over all the popular items they have. We ordered so much stuff and everything was fantastic. 2 orders of the hush puppies-to die for Gumbo-Friend said it was flavorful Fried chicken Shrimp Jambalaya Fried Shrimp appetizers Let’s not forget their homemade lemonade and ice tea. WOW!!! can’t wait to go back.

Quality under the expected and over priced … Ridiculous . I don’t get how you can charge 45USD for almost nothing.

Came here for a holiday lunch with friends. The smothered chicken was good. A bit on the salty side but not too bad. The fried chicken is tender. Peach cobbler is sweet but we cant stop eating it. It’s so good. Some of us liked the bourbon bread some thought the bourbon is too strong.:) mac and cheese and coleslaw are both yum. We like the hush puppies and thought of having some to go. Service is good. Food is good. décor is cute.

Solid food, giving an extra star just because of the lack of this type of food in the West valley. Fried chicken is very good, as is the Catfish/Hush Puppies. Jambalaya is pretty solid, as is the smothered Pork Chops. Corn Bread Muffins are decent. Mac n Cheese is home made but not extremely strong in flavor. Garlic Bread leaves something to be desired. All in all, the people are extremely nice, the food is definitely above average, and it’s a chill environment with huge portions. You should definitely try this place at least once if you’re in the area.

Five Onos out of Five What a WONDERFUL find… All of my LA perps, you MUST check this out. Worth the drive. Great portions at great prices. Everything fresh from the greens and creamy cold slaw to the crisp fried chicken and ribs. BTW, the bbq sauce was a good balance of sweet and spice. Run, don’t walk, these ladies know how to do it. Fun and friendly owners, the real deal…

I was so happy to found this cute place via Unilocal. Thanks Unilocal. I had jambalaya the other day. Was good. Really tasty. Today we had Cajun and regular chicken fries, ribs and jambalaya. Everything’s so good and tasty. Especially I liked Cajun chicken fries. It was hot, juicy & super tasty. Love their color greens too. Too bad I didn’t know about this place before! But never too late.

Who dat! Hands down, the best Cajun food I’ve had outside of Louisiana. The dining room is small and unassuming which actually works to the restaurant’s advantage because it is reminiscent of so many small restaurants in New Orleans. The food is no frills southern cooking done right. I’ve tried the catfish and hush puppies which is amazing. It comes with two sides which are generous. The red beans and rice are seasoned perfectly, and the mac and cheese uses excellent real cheese. The breading on the fish is perfect as well. The Shrimp Po boy is very good too, my only complaint is, it is a little small for my taste. But it’s probably fine for most people. I do wish they had soft shell crab for the po boys though. It’s my favorite. They also have the three main Louisiana hot sauces on the table. Tabasco, crystal, and red rooster. Nice attention to detail. I might have to drive the 35 minutes from DTLA to eat here again. Thanks to all the«sisters» for opening this gem.

My boyfriend really wanted to come here and show me one of his favorite places to eat. I had the fried chicken with two sides of mac and cheese because I love mac and cheese that much, but this one not so much. I felt like it was missing something. The waitress didn’t ask if I wanted the Cajun style fried chicken and I didn’t know about it, so I feel my chicken was a little bland and fried just a little longer than it should’ve been. My boyfriend loved his jambalaya and even ordered a pint of the red beans and rice to take home. We also shared the hush puppies which I really liked. They are sweet and served piping hot. Service was fine. The waitresses we’re eating at the same time as us in the dining room, which I found weird, but they were friendly throughout the meal. I’m willing to give it another try. Maybe find something I do enjoy.

I have been to this place a few times and always seem to end up with food that I like, and some food that I do not like. The fried chicken is good… it is not greasy and the cajun has nice flavor without being too spicy. The collard greens are ok. They were not over-cooked and soggy. They still had great texture, but lacked that full-flavor taste of true cooked in the South greens. You can only get that true Southern flavor by cooking them with bacon or ham. I am not sure what to make of the potato salad. It is heavy on the mayo… HEAVY… as in mayo is the primary ingredient. So gross. They do not offer biscuits. I repeat, they do not have biscuits. Abomination. What they steer you toward are their hush puppies/corn bread which are made like no other hush puppy I have had in any other part of the world. These are like dessert hush puppies o. O eww. The staff have always been polite and friendly. That goes a long with me, so even though I find their different dishes hit and miss, I will continue to come here and continue trying new things until I find all of the dishes that are perfect FORME.

The best southern food in Los Angeles!!! Definitely worth the drive. My favorite dish is the Cajun fried chicken. Whatever they do to that chicken is magic. It’s spicy, flavorful, crispy and hot! Their jambalaya is also really good. We also love the ribs! But hands down my favorite it definitely the Cajun fried chicken. Portions here are massive! I love the sides. Try the collard greens, candied yams, red beans and rice and the corn bread muffins. You can dine here family style and share to have a little taste of everything or just order your own plate. Tips: Lots of people order pick up, but personally if you have the time to dine in then do it. The service is personal, they are so awesome. When you dine there the vibe is just New Orleans vacation. There’s a small fee to box your food up, since the portions are huge it’s hard to not pack your food up.

5 stars does not do justice on this place. Les Sisters’ is a «mom & pop» type of restaurant located on Devonshire and Topanga. This place is definitely a go-to place if you’re craving Southern food. Everything we ordered here were so delicious and full of flavors! The people that work here are very nice and the place is clean and has that New Orlean vibe. I love love love it! Highly recommend this place.

I had the shrimp which was quite delicious! I wish the bread pudding would’ve had a few raisins in it. The mac N cheese was nice and and creamy. I sampled my daughters snapper, which was also delicious. My husband enjoyed his ribs, the lemonade was flavored just right. Next time I’m back in SoCal I’m going to have to try their gumbo.

I have so much love for southern food. Nothing compares to the comfort that it brings and the way that the spices they use all come together. I can’t vouch for any other dish but their smothered chicken was rather impressive. The chicken could definitely have more flavor than what it has now but, their gravy was so delicious it practically saved the dish. Their Cajun fries are on the spicy side so beware! If you’re one who can’t handle their spice then definitely opt for their regular fries. Their service could be a little slow when it gets busy but, that’s normal for a hole in the wall place like les sisters. Either way, I’m excited to come back to try their other dishes.

I wanted to love this place so bad, I really did. Unfortunately it didn’t meet expectations /: I came in here craving delicious fried chicken but what I got was bland, unsatisfying chicken. Came in here when it was pretty much empty so I see no reason why the food shouldn’t be perfect. Our waiter was super nice, very helpful answering every question & even giving us the option of ordering lunch sized portions after the cutoff time. He hyped the food up so much that it only made us even more eager about it. Boy were we in for a surprise /: I got the gumbo as an appetizer, good sized portion. It has chicken, shrimp, & sausage in it with a little bowl of rice and a piece of toast on the side but something about it was off. The flavor(or lack thereof) was just really disappointing. My friend & I both got the 4 piece cajun fried chicken & the pieces are huge which is awesome but our chicken was burnt & flavorless. No great seasoning on it & it wasn’t even spicy. Dont call it Cajun if it isn’t going to have a kick. Our Mac & cheese sides were eh, noodles were overcooked; I make better kraft Mac & cheese. Spicy rice side isn’t even spicy !): my friends dad got the shrimp jambalaya & smothered pork chop. All I’m gonna say is that I prefer zatarans boxed jamabalaya mix to theirs buuuuuuut their pork chop was alright. Favorite part about the whole meal? Their fresh squeezed lemonade & their bread pudding. Lemonade comes in a nice sized mason jar & you can either sweeten it yourself or let them. Its literally fresh squeezed lemons, water, and some sugar. Super refreshing over the minute maid stuff. Bread pudding was yum & for the moment made me forget about my not so great overpriced meal. $ 18 for 4 pieces of chicken seasoned with burned bits &2 not so great fixins? No thanks. 2 star review but gave that extra 1 because our waiter was awesome even though he did over hype the food lol !
