Incredible meal tonight on a lovely spring evening. We tried a little of everything, the sushi it’s by far the star of the show. My son was hungry but the waitress made him laugh and brought some apparatus fries right away. Short rib is great, miso salmon was cooked perfectly. Upscale ambiance yet casual dining.

Ladies night out. Staff friendly and waiter very helpful. Ordered quite a few rolls. Shaggy dog and tornado were favorites. Very creative combinations for a large selection of rolls. Excellent selection of wines and sake. Local favorite.

Very disappointed! service was bad, overpriced and poor quality of food, got charged $ 16 on about 32oz pot of green tea. Really don’t understand the five stars reviews.

I was so hungry for sushi as I have been eating very rich food for several days. Sushi/sashimi was very fresh and delicious! I’m a native Japanese who lives in USA and eat sushi in Japan nearly every week. Nigiri sushi was very good. I will return to this restaurant next year again.

Absolutely fresh sushi. Very skilled chefs and great location on Main St. If you like sushi, but don’t like sharing, order the hand-rolls!

Outstanding food in a great atmosphere. Chatham sunset roll, fresh scallops and a fine sake selection. Doesn’t get much better!

Sushi is great; host’s are not. Had a reservation for 5p. Got there on time; place is empty, seated us at the absolute worst table in the place, by the door, cramped. Asked to be re-seated, said we couldn’t because of reservations. When we left, many 2 tops were unoccupied the entire time we we were there. Talked to the manager, totally clueless, hostess a 20 something no nothing.

Can’t really review as they called to cancel my reservations. Who does that? Will we try again? Not sure. Very disappointed.

Just had dinner here and question the five star reviews. Price/Value is the biggest issue. Specialty rolls as high as $ 20. Two pieces of tuna sushi $ 8. Quite the up charge for sushi that is just average. Also had the pad thai which was so spicy it was tasteless.

Just the best all around spot in the area. Sushi is fresh, delicious, and creative, beautifully plated and generous. Sake menu is appropriately complex(ask for recommendations if you’re unsure, trust your server). Staff is professional, friendly, helpful, and fun. Everyone who works here is top notch! Bruno is the reason to sit at the bar — his suggestions are spot on, his manner is attentive and anticipatory, and he’s just an all around pro who knows his clientele and looks out for everyone. Go early, grab a seat at the bar, meet new people and enjoy a fantastic night out.

Bluefin is a hotspot in Chatham. Always lively, good music, draws a crowd, food is unbelievable and the bibimbap is over the top. Say hi to Andy.

We were very disappointed and inconvenienced when we arrived here to find you closed. I had called at around 1:00 p.m. to confirm that you would be open on 1÷3÷16. Your recording and on Unilocal said that you would be open 5:00 — 9:00. We were looking so forward to sushi but after all of the trouble that we had gone to — feeding our four little ones early(4 under 4.5 years old) and getting the babysitters, ect.; to finally get to the Bluefin Sushi & Sake Bar and find you closed was a most unpleasant surprise and an unhappy last night of our Christmas Vacation! Please be more clear about your hours in the future so others will not have this same inconvenient disappointment! I give you two stars because I had heard that Bluefins Sushi & Sake Bar was a good restaurant. And that is very reluctantly.

Well, maybe the bartender was having an off night, but after waiting for a while for the bartender to finish up talking to another customer a waiter noticed that the bartender was ignoring me and ducked under the bar to help take my order. I had a simple spicy tuna roll. Meh, not sure if it was rolled and cut for me. Also, wasabi was dark and hard like memories of childhood playdoh left in the sun. I’ll be back to try again because Boris was on the ball and took the effort to help me get some food.

It is hard to find really good food in Chatham that is reasonably priced and isn’t the usual fare of fish and chips or chowder that is chewy and full of half and half. The great advantage that Chatham has over other locations is its access to fresh fish and shellfish. Many of the restaurants in Chatham do not take advantage of this access. They bring in frozen produce from other areas which is a real disappointment. They charge a lot for«meh» food. Most of the visitors don’t know this or don’t care. Bluefins has some of the best sushi I have had and rivals most sushi bars in major metro areas. The food is great and I thought the prices were pretty reasonable for high quality food. For example, the Cape Cod Monster roll was huge, 10 pieces of the most tender and flavorful tuna I have had in a very long time. We had three rolls for two people including a surf and turf roll of lobster and Kobe beef and we had a shrimp roll as well. They were all excellent and lightly dressed with nicely prepared sauces including roe and eel. We sat at the bar and had a chance to interact with the chefs. They provided us with a taro root taco with some great veggies and tuna. It was excellent. The portions are very large as well. Two rolls will easily feed two people. The Sake menu is a full page long and gives you a full description of each one. I can’t say I am an expert of Sake so I found the descriptions helpful. They have a good wine list and a full service bar on the other side of the restaurant. You can be served on either side. The service was a little awkward at the bar but not a big deal. They also serve take out. Great place with outstanding food.

Wonderful experience; outstanding service, food, drinks and atmosphere. I’ve been 3 times. There’s 2 rooms with different décor. Both stylish. The side with the sushi bar has light wood, clean calm décor. The other has dark wood & gets a livelier crowd due to the very long bar. Food: For purists, sushi pieces extremely fresh & delicious, and I’ve had sushi in some of nyc’s best. Special rolls less traditional but good flavor combinations. Even the ones with lots of ingredients are not just muddled together; the flavors are distinct. I forget which ones we had but all good! Presentation is gorgeous. Cooked dishes too: lobster pad thai mildly spicy delicious sauce and great texture noodles. Seared scallops beautifully browned with crunchy pork belly — yum. Lemongrass cheesecake creamy and tangy. Great wine list(for my friends) but I’ve had the cocktails. Pear martini great! Blueberry collins too sour for me, but they sweetened it right away. Each time I’ve been, staff was attentive. Last time the owner checked on our table too. Go early to avoid the waits.

If I could give this 6 stars, I would. While the service was a bit ADD, within minutes of our sitting down the waiter announced they were having a half-hour sale on toro(fatty tuna), my favorite sashimi of all time. We all ordered it, it came, and holy crap exquisite. Then came my maki — the volcano. Words cannot describe how good this tasted, but I will try. There was a tiny bit of a bite to it, and it had avocado, crab, and something else in it – but the real standout was the sauce. The rolls were drenched in a creamy pink sauce with cut-up SCALLOPS in it and holy hell, every bite was a revelation. If you are within 10 miles of this place, GO.

We sta in front of the sushi chefs and watched them do their magic. Very friendly, very helpful, these guys were doing it all. The presentations of the different sushi dishes were spectacular. The«volcano» caught my eye, a towering cascade of different sushis and sauces! Wish I had ordered that! It’s a bit pricey, but it is the Cape :) Definitely try this spot!

First time and so pleased with energetic sushi and rolls in Chatham. We sat at sushi bar. Others outside, perhaps waiting. Sushi bar fun! Terrific drinks and rolls. We liked Volcanic and Monster! Nice servers but a bit stressed working so hard. Will return. Great to see such fresh seafood and innovative dining.

Upon entering we noticed the cool trendy vibe with ambient deep house music. The tables are close together. Opt for a sushi bar seat if you are a two top. Our waiter was very nice, a little rough around the edges. The menu is expansive. We opted for a few rolls and nigiri. We enjoyed the nigiri. The fish was super fresh. Plating/presentation is artful We weren’t wowed by the flavors of the rolls. In fact, the Spider Roll tasted off. 4 stars for the sushi chef who came tableside to ask how our food tasted. A few matters that we noticed; The seating is an issue as previously mentioned. They are heavily staffed We noticed at one point, 6 waitstaff hanging at the computer station and 3 at the hostess station. Kind of odd to see lingering staff. Food came fast but wine and lukewarm tea(2 attempts at hot tea failed) took a long while. We wanted to love it but didn’t feel it.

Being from Chatham, we’ve learned to lower our standards for flavorful food around town. Fresh, yes. But usually not flavorful or artfully presented. This is a fresh concept that I hope makes it through the winter. Living in the DC area now, I’m used to getting good sushi anytime. They have a good beer selection here as well, which surprised me. Brews such as Hitachino and Cisco are on the menu, which is a nice deviation from the corn and rice adjunct lagers that you find most places. I selected the tempura fried oysters, seared bluefin tuna, and garden rolls with mango, various bell peppers, kanpyo, shiitake mushrooms, and peach sauce. All were flavorful and well-presented.
