Many many times I read bad or unfavorable reviews and still try an establishment with the assumption that people have high expectations or they visited on a bad night. Wild duck café, however TOTALLY lives up to the horrible reputation. I have never had such horrendous food and«couldn’t care less» service in my life. The views brought me here, and they do deliver. Unfortunately, That is where it ends. The nachos were burnt to a crisp, literally black. The calamari was freezer burnt, dripping with grease, yet somehow still so rubbery it was like a pack of wrigleys gum. Why is is served with tomato salsa? «miss, do you have marinara or cocktail sauce?»… They sure do… But it’s frozen into a gelatinous brick. Oh wait… The kitchen must be overwhelmed from the 4 tables here at the moment. They have a theme of two“s here… Two drinks, two appetizers, takes two hours. I’ve been a member of Unilocal for years ladies and gentlemen and this is the first venue that has been so viscerally bad that inspired me to write a review while still seated at the table. Please save your money and go elsewhere.

Always«under new management» and you can tell why. The food is pretty bad and for a bar, all one could hope is that someone is there to serve you a drink… and they fail there too. It’s a shame for such a great location. If a good band comes and you just want a drink or two, the place is good, but don’t come here if you are looking for a good meal. The atmosphere and clientele isn’t your typical waterfront establishment, seems more like an urban outpost with baggy jeans and big hats all over the place. Employees seem to be the same kind of genre, and that may explain the service and food.
