A wonderful boutique! I’m more than happy to only use store credit for my consignments because they bring in such awesome inventory! Staff is always lovely, and I always manage to find a great deal for a fair price! Highly recommend!

If you’re in the market for a groovy local thrift store for clothes this is worth a stop. The store is nestled alongside Circa and tucked down the street from Great Harvest Bread.
The shop has two mid sized rooms with neatly kept gently used clothing displays for men and women that include everything from shoes to coats as well as a small counter for jewelry and accessories. In addition to the gently used clothing, they also had a small section of brand new items like socks with hilarious sayings, pencil pouches, and small totes. The selection is small but clean, organized, and displayed with care. I could tell that the employees take their time when it comes to their merchandise!
The customer service was also really great. The second I walked in the sales women cheerfully said hello and asked if I was looking for anything in particular (I was), and she knew exactly where to direct me. When I couldn’t find the item she patiently talked with me a few more minutes to figure out if there was anything in the store like it (there wasn’t). However, I lingered and ended up finding some awesome stuff in the end (hello new socks) because the sales associate made me feel super comfortable and was really friendly.
This is the kind of place where you would stumble upon that «thing» you didn’t know you were looking for until you found it. All in all the merch is in good condition and the people are nice.

Fantastic store, fun clothes and friendly staff. Items are very affordable, and lots of cool stuff to see. Attractively organized and easy to shop. Reminds me of the great thrift stores in Atlanta.

ReThreads is a great little shop with tons of great inventory. Here you can find men’s or women’s clothes, shoes and jewelry. There is also a great handbag selection! Every time I visit the shop I find a few things that I love. The staff is very friendly and helpful both with normal sales, and if you’ve come by to drop off consignments. While you may have to search through a few things to find something that you like (or that is your right size) it’s always fun to look at all the unique pieces they have. I highly recommend this store to anyone who likes shopping second-​hand. This shop is great!

I was there with my two teenage sons on Christmas Eve and had a wonderful experience. The clerk (owner?) was very friendly and helpful without being in the way. The prices were very fair even without the extra sales. Many things were half off and they have a nice sized dollar rack. The merchandise was a nice mix between used, vintage, and new artisan stuff. They had really great shoes too. The nice owner even let us bring our friendly, well behaved dog in, i didnt even ask, she just offered! I will certainly be back and highly recommend it. It would be such a groovy world if all the thrift shops were like ReThreads.

ReThreads is a great shop! It’s less expensive than most of CVille’s other consignment shops (I recently got a summer dress and jean jacket for $ 11 total). They have a lot of inventory, so come ready to hunt. The staff is friendly and helpful if you want suggestions. Best of all, three days a week you can bring your consignment items in with no appointment — love the convenience! Easy parking, too. Celebrate your finds with a donut at nearby Carpe Donut. :)

Having just moved from an area of the country that is heavy in reuse and second-​hand clothing barter/​trade options… I have been searching for the equivalent in C’ville. The best one I have found is at ReThreads. There are actually MEN’s CLOTHES! The owner and her help are all very friendly. I recommend going by for a chat, to try something on, and to support this great small business…

Visited RT again and saw many unique things. Lucky to find much needed brown shoes for $ 9. Love them. Bought several pretty bracelets for a friend who remakes them into earrings, necklaces, etc. but I may decide keep them for myself. Thanks, Melissa for having such a nice shop … and an even nicer smile!

Amazing, cheap, and as a bonus the store owner is so friendly. I’m an avid consignment shopper, and this is probably my favorite place in town.
(My definition of cheap: My first visit I left with an Eddie Bauer top for about $ 8.)

Having thrift-​ed for much of the last 25 years, I am continually amazed at the quality of clothing that ReThreads has, and the prices are some of the best you could find in town. The owner is very aware of this being an environmentally conscious choice, to shop second hand, and supports other local groups that promote the same ideals. I like the uniqueness of some of the locally made goods, all from recycled materials. At some point, she will need a larger space, but even for being a relatively small shop it takes some time to browse around to see all that is there. My children, impatient shoppers they can be, even enjoy going there due to the children’s area. A great addition to Charlottesville and definitely fits a need.

As an avid consignment shopper, I was very excited to hear about a new addition to Cville’s contentment options. ReThreads, tucked behind Circa and only open since March, is jam-​packed full of lightly used and vintage digs and AWESOME prices — $ 10 dresses; please and thank you! — as well some really lovely, locally made pieces. They have made great use out of a small space and, while many appreciate a plethora of basics, I would have loved to see more unique pieces, which I don’t doubt will come with more time. Keep up the great work, ReThreads!

An amazing assortment of items for a consignment shop that just opened. Lots of choice women’s clothing, some upcycled jewelry, maternity, even children’s clothes and toys. The men’s section is still a bit small, but since it’s a consignment shop, it’s sort of a function of what comes in the door. Fills a niche between the affordability of Goodwill but the choosiness of other resale places in Cville (that charge considerably more.)
