Years ago, I worked for one Kmart store and then another. It’s a floundering company, and if you’re looking for Walmart, this isn’t it — and never has been and never will be. Nor is it Sears, despite the partnership. Kmart is the place that you go for well-made clothes on the cheap; higher quality than those at Target or Walmart, either — and no-nonsense tools and fantastic clearance. I believe that the company prices things fairly, though the store is notorious for not labeling shelves(good thing there are price checkers placed throughout!). This store, though, is laid out in a rather odd manner. I wish the store would find a bit more cohesive layout. Regardless, the staff here is friendly, and it’s a still existent Kmart in an age when Kmarts are nearly extinct!

It’s a little worn, inside and out. The prices are suspect. Some are great! Others are laughable but that’s a common practice. You can’t expect one stop shopping. I walked around ¾ of the store before I found an employee who had to go find someone else. I’m writing this review as I wait for him to return. Though hard to find, when I did, they were nice. As I was leaving him, I realized there was a button on the wall to request service. Inconspicuous! When I got to the checkout, there were three lines and they were all grossly overflowing! GROSSLY! Nutshell: Come with reasonable expectations and a lot of time.

I stop by this location when I am on my way to visit family. I like the end of season sales. I usually end up with three(okay five) handbags when they are on clearance. The displays are frequently confusing during sales. Not all of the merchandise gets marked down. I have even taken a picture of a display with the price, to show the cashier what the price was supposed to be. The manager’s are decent about giving me the sale price on an item that did not get properly marked down. Last year I bought 10 bags when they were all $ 1.99 and had nice xmas gifts to give. I can’t always find staff on the floor but the employees at the customer service desk are helpful. I did not buy any Nicki Minaj leggings with holes in them but I did take a hilarious selfie trying them on.

Hubs wanted to stop in and get windshield wiper fluid after the light turned on on our drive home from Bodo’s. It’s a Kmart. It’s stuck in the 90s. That’s pretty much it.

This is an interesting K-Mart. I went here one evening after dark. Before I even got inside, I kept getting the sneaking suspicion that it was about to go down between me and this«suspect» looking character in the parking lot. Lighting is not that great and I couldn’t resist the urge to keep looking over my shoulders. Once inside, the place just appeared run down. Shelves were overflowing and items were not neatly stacked. I just wanted a box of Christmas cards, but could not find any. I guess the place is ok, but it’s definitely not up to the level that so many other K-Marts are. The staff was nice though, but I still think I’ll go elsewhere.
