Simply the best. Extremely busy during lunch time but well worth the line, employees work at top speed.

Bodo’s! Man every time I’m in Charlottesville this is a place I have to make sure I stop by. I’ve been here so many times with some many people at various hours and the service and food is always consistently amazing. There aren’t enough great things I can say about this place.

There will not be enough room for my words for this business, and I will run out of time if I update my review every time I go there. I went this morning, and it was great. I have been going for twenty years and it has always been great. There are only a few places in Charlottesville which would lead me to write a review like this, and I think that that is saying something. So of course I gave it five stars – enjoy!

5 Stars. As good as it gets. If you haven’t tried a Bodo’s bagel stop what you are doing and go get one!

How did no one recommend Bodo to us? We were told later that it is a UVA haunt and we can see why. Great bagels! We stopped in for breakfast and there were about 15 people in front of us. It took us less than 3 minutes to get through the line. Love that quick service. After we had our breakfast, we decided we had to take these delicious bagels home with us. So we hopped back into an equally long line, had an equally short wait time and each got a dozen to go. Perfect bagels. Seriously.

Incredibly scrumptious! If you love bagels or sometimes have the urge to entertain the idea of eating a bagel, you have got to indulge in Bodos. Let’s be honest, bagels have the subconscious reminder that eating too many, put too many unwanted extra-ness in all the bad places on your body, but this is A DIFFERENTSTORY! Their bagels are phenomenal. I am the perfect example of avoiding any and all bagel shops because they make me feel like the time I just spent on a well-achieved run, hiking a mountain, or nearly passing out at the gym from muscle fatigue, was worthless, but these don’t make you feel bad about your impulsive bagel-craving decisions. Promise! Gotta Bodo! You won’t regret it!

The line was out the door, but I got to the front of the line in less than 5 minutes. Bagels were cheap(70cents/bagel), but were delicious. Definitely going to make trips to Charlottesville just for these.

This place has been a favorite of mine since I first tried it. Being from Long Island I’m always very skeptical of any bagel place as I have never found something comparable until I found Bodo’s. The bagels are delicious and are honestly the best I have ever had outside of NY. This place is a must stop at place and extremely reasonably priced.

A Charlottesville institution for a solid quick meal. Bagels are tasty. The egg and cheese bagel sandwiches are good, not great. I like that there’s a reasonable vegetarian protein option(a NoBull burger), but wish they carried one of more flavorful options. Come to think of it, all that’s missing at Boo’s is a jalapeño cheddar bagel /cheese /nobull option for a spicy alternative.

The best bagels south of Plainview. If only they might make from time to time a few bialys … and onion board.

I was skeptical about hitting up a bagel joint in Charlottesville but after looking at the reviews and pictures and since the donut shop I wanted to go to was closed I had no choice. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and different bagel combinations you could order. The inside of the bagel was chewy and outside crispy, made fresh to order, dont even need to ask for them to toast it… they must of figured out the pH levels in the water in NYC and reproduced it here at Bodo’s. one thing lacking from this place is the atmosphere you’ll find in a NYC bagel shop… screaming your order, being pushed around, in and out within minutes… so to speak

I’ve heard of Bodo’s Bagels’ greatness from all the way up in DC by some coworkers who went to school at UVa. Something about the pH levels of the water being different and that makes the bagels better? I don’t know. But I love a good bagel so I was excited to finally try it after coming down for a football game. We got there around 10:30 on a Sunday morning after a Saturday game so it was really busy. We luckily got a parking spot and then got in the line… that was stretched 15 people outside the front entrance. That excited me right off the bat. People don’t wait that long for garbage breakfast. The line actually moved really fast. The cashiers did a good job of moving people through with their orders and the other staff did a great job of getting the food out. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese on everything bagel and an OJ. I was really impressed by the bagel. It was toasted nicely and tasted super fresh. One thing that I think is underrated though was the egg on the bagel. It was an actual egg. Like they cooked the egg correctly. If you go to a place like Panera and get egg on a bagel you know what I’m talking about. It’s just weird. So props to Bodo’s for that. I’ve probably had a couple bagel experiences this good before but this ranks near the top. I’ll definitely be trying to get back here next time I’m in Charlottesville.

I love Bodos! The breads are all made in house as well. The only thing that is weird is I was going to try the chicken salad sandwich… But the thing is that it’s actually turkey. And it only has mayo and celery. I opted for just a bacon egg and cheese. This is a must try if you’re in Charlottesville — there’s three in the area I think.

You can’t go wrong here. The food is wholesome, affordable, fast and diverse. I regularly get a soup and the Cleo Salad. They are fantastic(although the soup is a bit over-priced). The bagels are amazing. Sometimes I get the Garlic Bagel with Kalamata Olive Spread. So good!

eh, nothing amazed me here, we came after realizing that ace biscuit does truly run out of food but not change their hours, i like the spreads i get at einstein bagels better we each got bagel sandwiches, mine was with eggs and ham with jalapeño smear and bf’s was with turkey and bacon. i think mine was a bit better service-good price-good ambiance-fast food style, its clean, so its good overall-eh, sure go for it,

Bodos Bagels is a must when in Charlottesville! The food is amazing and great priced. Whether you go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner you will get quality food. The atmosphere is fast paced and often has a line out the door. The line moves quick but is a statement about the quality of food. If you are looking for great food at a great price Bodos is perfect.

You can tell from the sheer amount of space they devote to the kitchen, and from the folks bustling over boiling water, that this is a real bagel place. That is, they serve real bagels, boiled before they’re baked, with a nice texture and a reasonable size. That is, they serve the only kind of bagels worth eating. Eat some.

This is my favorite among the bodo’s bagels in town. It seems the bagels are always warm, whereas the bagels are sometimes cold at the other locations. We like the lox spread on plain bagel, or the roast beef with cheddar on salt bagel. The roast beef actually goes very well with the salt bagel. The down side is that it’s often very loud, and if it’s a Sunday, this place can be overrun by screaming children. They have a relatively big parking lot, but sometimes people are not looking when they drive through or back out, so beware.
