Decided to take the family for a Friday afternoon outing. Was pleasantly surprised that the bowling alley was not crowded considering it was a Friday. We were greeted warmly by staff and quickly given shoes and a lane. Staff let us settled in then checked on us rather quickly. We ordered food which was surprisingly good for food in a bowling alley. The hostess convinced us to get two pizzas for our family of four and she was right! The flatbread pizzas were tasty, sausage/pepperoni and cheese. They arrived hot and two was just the right amount. The server was responsive to our needs and extremely pleasant. When we were done, we were shocked that staff came over to help us rack the balls… never had that happen before. We will definitely be going back

I remember when I first came back home this place was being remodel and I could wait for it to be done so I could check it out. I can actually say I don’t ever remember having a bad time with any of my visit to Ten Park. I love how it’s design and how on Friday and Saturday they have a dj. The food is great. I love their pull pork slider and fried pickles and Jalapeño. Their drink selection is incredible. I love the moonshine they offer and the different moonshine inspired drinks. They have a great beer selection and good drink special thought the week. You should make a trip to go out there. Fair warring if you go on Friday or Saturday night and want to bowl expect a wait, but as said they do have great drinks and a dj so you won’t be board waiting to bowl.

Great Food at a Bowling Alley??? Yup! The food here is better than most dedicated restaurants. They have a unique dish, the Mason Jar, where you pick three ingredients, and they layer them in a mason jar. I go with Burnt Ends, Roasted Jalapeños, and Mac n’ Cheese. End the meal with the Chocolate Dipped Mason Jars for dessert and you will not regret it. The atmosphere is great(though loud, but that’s a given at a bowling alley). It’s always crowded, which just adds to the appeal for some reason. It breaks the stereotype of the sad, lonely, and depressing bowling alleys I grew up going to. They always have a fine local beer selection, though not as extensive as it could be.

This bad review is mostly due to the waitress«Manuela» or Manny. She is THEDEFINITION of terrible customer service. When we arrived we grabbed our shoes, & proceeded to the bar to grab a cocktail. When we arrived at our lane Manny gave us a disgusted look & said«Next time you need a drink, you get it from me, okay?!» My 1st thought was hell no! I then asked if they had bumpers, she responded very harshly«do you have a child in your party?» We didn’t, she said«No, nope you can’t, those are for children only.» Does this girl even know what customer service is. The awesome bartender«Jessica» over heard this, chased after me, apologized for her rude coworkers behavior and said that she’d ask for me. We ended up having a great time without the bumpers lol. I won both games… But they need to get rid of that Terrible server.

We went about 930−10pm on Friday night. It was packed but we got a lane. The prices were cheap 6.00 a game and I believe 5 – 6 for shoe rental. They served alcohol and food which was nice. The food actually seemed decent compared to normal bowling alley food. We had a good time and I’d recommend going here for bowling or even having a party there.

My wife and I wanted to try a new place(for us) and the menu looked good and we were planning to do some bowling after dinner. Unfortunately, the service was basically nonexistent. We sat down in the small dining area and after sitting there for a couple minutes someone brought us menus, and shortly after that a waitress(don’t remember the name) came and got our drinks… and that’s about all the service we got. We waited about 15 – 20 minutes and she never came back to get our order. Another family came in after we had been there for a bit and got drinks and their order taken while we were waiting, just to add insult to injury I guess. I finally realized out server had been sitting a few tables over having a conversation with(I assume) a supervisor/manager, which is fine, but no reason to not do your job at its most basic level. Needless to say we were upset(and we only had water), so we decided to try our luck at one of the many other restaurants in the area.

So, $ 80 for a family of four to bowl for one hour on a Saturday afternoon? Methinks not. Your place ain’t that great.

This place is awesome! I definitely recommend this place for a fun time and good dinner. The build your own mason jar is my favorite. The price for bowling isn’t bad and the atmosphere is very fun. The only downfall would be the drinks. I ordered 2 watermelon margaritas which tasted as if I was drinking a glass of just sour mix. Also I ordered a house vodka with Coke that tasted watered down, maybe from sitting. Our server was new and very busy so it’s understandable. Aside from the minor fallback I will be back!

I have kind of a neutral rating towards his place. There is nothing that they did wrong and there was nothing that was great about it. When I needed service I got it, it was everything I expected from a bowling alley. I will return, overall they did a nice job(much better then strike city)

Our group had a really great time here. The prices are reasonable. The staff was friendly and fast. And the food we got here was pretty delicious. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star is the fact that as soon as our game finished, we were immediately crowded by the next group. I didn’t have enough time to walk from the lane to my seat to put my regular shoes back on before I new group was there. I wish the staff would have held the next group back a few minutes so we could have gathered our things and put our shoes back on.

God do I love bowling! But Ten Parks Lane makes my love for bowling even stronger! They really have it all here! We went for a birthday party so had 2 lanes reserved which was great because I’ve heard that the wait can get to be really long, especially on the weekends so definitely keep that in mind! The bowling alley itself was huge and super clean. They had tons of lanes and a lot of space for large groups to both bowl and hang out. The food/drinks were relatively cheap. We got a whole bunch of drinks and 3 plates of food and it came out to like 50 bucks. Not too shabby! We ordered onion rings(the dipping sauce was awesome), pulled pork sliders, and my favorite: the make your own mason jar. I put Mac and cheese, pulled pork, and coleslaw… omg I was in heaven. I couldn’t get it in fast enough! They had tons of options for you to choose from and some specialty ones that also looked amazing! One of my favorite aspects of the alley was the juke box. I get overly excited when I see one of these thins in bars/restaurants/anywhere. Especially the ones that I can control from my phone! Some people may not be my biggest fan though because I tend to think I’m a dj when this happens. But none the less, they’re always a great time and always make my experience at places so much better! Around 10, the bowling alley turned into black light bowling. So bummed that that’s right when we left. But ill definitely be back for some night bowling and to have some more mason jars!

A night filled with laughter, drink specials, towers, buckets, food and of course, bowling! I’m a huge fan of Montford in general, but always have a blast at Ten Park Lanes. It is one of my favorite past time. Good music with a casual environment, good friends and drinks, there’s not much to not love about park lanes. We usual bar hop around Montford with the good variety of bars in the surrounding area. Always a good time and definitely a staple of Charlotte.

I was having dinner with a developer friend last week, one of those guys cleaning up on all the new money here in town. He’d invited an old pal from high school to join us, his name was Weffert Lorrants… quite a character. Anyway, Weffert was explaining how he lived on a bad section of Tuckaseegee Rd and that drive by’s in his neighborhood outnumbered the rest of the city by about 30%. So my friend Tom asked Weffert how much he could afford for a home. Weffert said if he could unload his house in Stunted Oaks to some fool who enjoyed being around random gunfire, he could probably afford around eighty-thousand. Weffert also made the point that he sure wanted to live in a gated community but he didn’t play golf and he didn’t understand why you had to be a golf nut to live in a gated community?(did I mention that Weffert sort of speaks in tongues) «I acky bo. Veepers arter oo sumpin fur boars» he said. Tommy translated…“I like to bowl. Developers ought to do something for bowlers” It was the inspiration for what my friend called his two bedroom«big looking houses that ain’t». Fake upstairs, 7′ ceilings, kitchen opening into the great room which opened to the laundry room. Weffert bought the first house in Bowling Acres and the neighborhood sold out in no time. And I congratulate my friend and Weffert on being men of vision every Wednesday night at the State Line Arcade and Bowl-A-Rama(Private Members Only). Ten Park Lanes is awesome! I laughed when friends suggested I meet them there for dinner, but I thought what the hell. I haven’t seen the inside of this place since 1998, and man oh man how things have changed. A) its absolutely beautiful, just a first class facility. B) they have a great sports bar here, cool place to watch a game and finally C) the food is fantastic! Great BBQ and ribs, and the pizza is phenomenal. Almost as good as Luisa’s next door. I will definitely make a beeline back here the next trip up, probably my favorite surprise in Charlotte in the last 10 years.

The food is amazing — it’s definitely a restaurant with a bowling alley versus a bowling alley with a restaurant! Was here for a big event and have to say it was well run and organized for such a large venue. They’re pros. No technical issues, certainly no lane issues and all was well run. My family will certainly be back…

What was once merely an outdated bowling alley, 10 Park Lanes has since been transformed into a Montford Dr. entertainment and dining heavyweight. After several rounds of moonshine and several courses of food we came to the conclusion. THISPLACEROCKS! Our first round started with the southern style fried pickles and jalapenos. The idea of this dish was to put a twist on the average fried pickle app by contrasting the sweetness of the pickles with the heat from the jalapenos. This dish ended up being an enormous hit at our table. The fried pickles on their own wouldn’t be able to stand up to some of the other heavy hitters in Charlotte(Penguin, Pinkys, etc.) but with the addition of the fried jalapenos. the whole dish was amplified to a new level. Next up was a round of P.B.R. Sliders… which we quickly learned didn’t stand for Pabst Blue Ribbon Sliders. Instead its a slider with shaved smoked angus prime rib«P» with local blue cheese«B» and roasted sweet onion«R» topped with a homemade garlic mayo. The angus prime rib was amazing and despite my immense distaste for blue cheese I really thought these sliders were on point. I would however suggest swapping the slider buns for something with more flavor and swap the crumbles for a blue cheese dressing or spread to round out the flavor and elevate these things to a euphoric level. After the sliders we tried the smoked pork belly skewers on grilled naan bread. I thought the pork belly and the naan were pretty good and especially loved the light char on the pork. However, it seemed I was the only one that shared this opinion because the rest of our group thought the pork itself needed some work and the dish lacked a crunchy garnish(maybe a slaw?) The Carolina greens salad came with baby arugula, chopped romaine, artisan greens, candied pecans, dried cranberries, goat cheese, and topped with an herb-shallot vinaigrette. The salad had a lot of flavor and the goat cheese was a nice addition. Grandmas salad came with artisan greens, smoked gouda, roasted almonds, smoked turkey breast, orchard apple, dried cranberry and topped with a sweet basil jam vinaigrette. This was the favored salad of the night even though it lacked the flavor from the turkey and gouda cheese. Then we sank our teeth into the fifty-50 retro burger made with a Pat LaFrieda burger blend of boneless short ribs and angus brisket blended with pecan smoked bacon then finished off with romaine lettuce, tomato, pickle, jalapeño smoked bacon and a garlic mayo that’s made in house. The addition of the bacon to the ground beef and as a topping for the burger made this a bacon lovers dream. Next up we had the bbq chicken flatbread pizza with slow roasted chicken, applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, fresh mozzarella, smoked gouda and plenty of fresh cilantro. For not being a specialty pizza place, this thing was amazing. The only pizza we have liked more has either come from Mellow Mushroom or been made by us. The edges were thin and crispy, the slow roasted chicken was a little scarce but when we found it we liked it, caramelized onions are always a happy addition to any dish for us, the bacon was also scarce but a lot easier to find than the chicken, and the mozzarella /gouda cheese made for the perfect blend. To finish off the night we had a round of St. Louis cut ribs, smoke shack pulled Boston butt, cream baked cheddar mac & cheese, and Sunday baked beans. The St. Louis cut ribs left us with mixed emotions. They were perfectly cooked, juicy, and tender. But to be completely honest… they lacked any and all trace of flavor. The ribs were easily the least favorite of the night and from the looks of the other tables around us we weren’t the only ones that thought so. The smoke shack pulled Boston butt wasn’t much better. Although it was tender. it was still ridiculously short on flavor and a little dry. Both the Boston butt and the ribs needed some TLC from the various bbq sauces that were on hand. The macaroni and cheese was better than most of the baked macaroni that we have had so far. They were cheesy and creamy and gooey, what else do you need in macaroni? The baked beans were delicious and had just enough sweetness and tang to balance out the rest of the dish. To finish off the night we had a dish of home made moonshine pecan pie. The pie had a very distinct moonshine flavor, was perfectly gooey, chocolaty, and nutty. My only complaint was the store bought crust since home-made pie dough is relatively easy to make and would really bring this pie to the next level. For having its roots in bowling, 10 Park Lanes is definitely well on its way to growing itself into a respected restaurant as well. There were some huge hits and some misses. a couple of things we might suggest they do differently… but for the most part the place rocked and we would easily put our Foodie seal of approval on it.

I came here for a charity bowl-a-thon and was the first time at Ten Park where to bowl. It was a Saturday early afternoon so not as packed as I’m used to seeing passing by at night. Pretty cool retro place, though not sure what all the hype is about. People tell me it’s a cool place to hang other than bowling, so maybe that’s why I don’t get it since I go to bowling alleys to bowl(I love bowling!) I’ll have to come back and try the food, but the facilities were nice and clean and the lanes working well. See you again soon!

I appreciate the innovative approach that TEN Park is taking. Upgraded food, large bars, bowling, ping pong, cornhole, the works. They are definitely working to create and experience. Our group stopped in after having tacos up the street. It was a Friday night a couple of weeks before Christmas and the place was PACKED with corporate holiday parties. We were told it would be a two hour wait for a lane. We were going to be drinking anyway so we saddled up to the bar. The bar service was quick and efficient. The bowling experience well.. .. was bowling, but our group had fun. I would go back to TEN park in the future.

LUNCH&BOWL review. I’ve been to many lunch & bowls at Ten Park Lanes over the past two years. Its a great deal, $ 15 for lunch, shoes and two games of bowling. In the past, I’ve been able to try some great food, a stacked mason jar full of delicious-ness, a crazy rooster sandwich and some buffalo chicken tacos. I returned a week ago with another work group for a lunch & bowl. We got our lanes, got the shoes and then we got the menus. :insert sad music here: You’ve always been able to order most anything off the menu, with the exemption of a few blue plate items. This time, we were presented with a tiny menu with 4 – 5 items. No vegetarian options, and nothing that was as awesome as I’d had before. We had to apologize to the people that had never been there because we were bragging about the food before. I ended up getting BBQ sliders and fries, but most of my team ended up ordering flatbreads. The sliders were fine — but when I was looking forward to a stacked mason jar, it was disappointing. I’m very disappointed that they made this change to the lunch & bowl menu and I don’t see our team returning anytime soon.

Although I loved the décor of Ten Park Lanes I was less than pleased with the service. We had a large group which can be trying but we had two waitresses for a group of 14. We each had 1 – 3 drinks and all at the same time so we tried to make it as easy as possible. A few ordered drinks which never came out. When the bill came out the non-existent drinks were charged! After speaking to our waitress we saw her talking it over with another server for 10 minutes trying to figure out who was telling the truth. We didn’t appreciate the back and forth.

Awww… Ten Park Lanes was my VERY first ever Unilocal Elite event so this place already holds is super special for me. So it was a no-brainer that when my friends were visiting from out of town and wanted to do something fun I suggested this place. I already knew they had killer food and add bowling and some drinks… it’s all the makings for an epic night. Well they didn’t disappoint!!! We ordered a little bit of everything: Pepperoni and Sausage Flatbread Pulled Pork Tacos Brisket Burnt Ends Green Beans Fries Mac and Cheese Pulled Pork Smoke Jar(Mason Jar) I tried to get as many pictures as I could but we were devouring that food faster than I could get the pictures!!! Seriously you will leave this place wondering: «Why can’t all Bowling Alley food be this freaking good?» Highlights of the night for me were the pulled pork tacos and the Smoke Jar(Brisket Burnt Ends, Smoked Jalapenos and Mac & Cheese)…OMG…can I take 2 to go please. Yep. They are that good. Get them. *Here’s a few tips for the newbies: Reserve your lane the night before… avoid the massive wait lines! And have everyone take one car, the parking lot fills up quickly! But this place definitely does not disappoint and is sure to be a good night for all.
