I am teetering on the opinion that they may deserve five stars… but… I’m afraid that I don’t have enough experience with other places to determine if they are as good as it gets… however, I am a fan and this is my first place of choice.
The GOOD:
The lady that handles the intake is awesome. She’s super cool. She will sale to you in a heartbeat though, so don’t be too swept away by her charm, fellas.
I’ve received a voicemail from a dude there that I never talked to in person but his voice sounded like he was a genuinely nice person. My impression is that they are «good people». That, or I’m really naïve and gullible. Oh well, ignorance is bliss!
They are super fast. I’ve never had to wait long for any repair. They even apologize if you drop it off late and unannounced and they can’t get to it until the following morning or afternoon. Seriously. They were actually apologetic despite me never expecting them to just jump right on it without an appointment. I was impressed.
They communicate excellently over the phone and in person. They won’t do anything without telling you, and will offer full prices quotes, and may even offer a discount on some of the less expensive stuff if you agree to allow them to service something that will (apparently) give them more profit. It’s cool because you can agree or disagree with what they offer and they won’t push you. I got the impression that they simply offer it, tell you why they think you should do it, but don’t give you a hard time or make you feel stupid if you say no.
They actually listen to your concern and focus on that first, before trying to sell you other stuff.
Apparently, warranties are included with their repairs.
I believe they sometimes go ahead and just fix little things for you while they’re at it, maybe more so if you have already purchased or agreed to a lot of other services. They got my check engine light to go off by removing some corrosion around some valve or whatever and they didn’t charge me for this. Yeah, maybe it wasn’t much, but they didn’t have to do it at all.
The MEH:
They will, like most places, try and get you to replace every little thing that might be slightly wrong with your car while you’re there. Just be careful and remember to stay strong if you must. As I have mentioned, they seem respectful of your situation even when doing this.
They won’t let you bring or purchase your own parts and just charge labor on some jobs. You have to use theirs. I asked. They say the reason is warranty, but still, I’ve been to places that allow your own parts that you can purchase. For some things, who cares if there is a warranty on it? What if you didn’t care about warranties for any of it? Will they still insist on using their own expensive parts? Probably. Such as, I’ll provide a tire and you put it on for me? Simple. Maybe they’ll do that much, but they sure didn’t let me provide the parts for my repairs needed.
Though… I understand this might not be all that bad because they want to stand behind their parts and their work, which is part of what makes them nice, so that’s why I say meh. Not good. Not bad.
The BAD:
I guess the prices are kind of high… but like I said, everywhere is really high. I mean, have you seen the prices (everywhere) to do something simple such as change brakes and rotors? It’s not hard. Yet, it’s hundreds of dollars for parts and labor. Crazy. I’ll just do my own even it takes longer due to not having super tools.
Overall, I like them. I recommend them to people. They have been, or at least APPEAR to have been, more and more successful as the years go buy.
That being said, it still seems that they have that small business, family charm, which is what I like. You walk into NTB (formerly Tire Kingdom) and it’s like walking into some rich person’s bathroom. Plain. Boring. Clinical. MONEY DRIVEN. Steele Creek has warmth.
(Speaking of NTB, they really suck. I used to love Tire Kingdom but they are an example of how a business turns only toward the bottom line and takes their finger off of the pulses of what the customers want.)
I think they’re successful enough that they don’t bother trying to be shady, and by talking to the intake person, you can tell that they care about their reputation. This is where I will do my business until they piss me off somehow.

It’s got some high ratings here from my fellow Unilocalers so I decided to take my problem to them. Its almost embarrassing but I couldn’t find the button that would release my headlight bulb. It needed replacing. $ 6 to 14 bucks depends on halogen or not. I figured let’s see how he handles this and then the ll know where to get my alignment, my SPRING tires, my next oil change.
Ok I call and Dave says sure we can do a bulb replacement! Come on over. So i did– introduced myself to Dave and then he says «the charge will be $ 30». I said no, not the whole headlight just the bulb. He says yup $ 30. Just the one bulb I said, how about $ 20? Nope, $ 30 Dave says.
And then I left went to autozone down the street where they helped me take the bulb off in Sixty Seconds.
It’s the little things that show you a persons or business’s true nature

I usually don’t review products and services, even though it’s a great thing to do. Maybe from now, I’ll try and remember to write reviews. In this case, as soon as I left the place I decided that giving these guys 5 stars would be the first thing I do when I got back home. I’ll keep it short and precise:
1) Called and made an appointment for Inspection the same day within an hour. Got there — very polite, very organized, they started working on the car within five minutes.
2) They found a leak on the exhaust pipe. The two options were: a) Try and repair it by brushing it, putting a bead, and welding it and checking again. Time and Cost — 1 hour, ~80. b) Replace the entire exhaust pipe — $ 300+.
3) THEY proposed option a. Then finished the job successfully in 20 minutes and for $ 50. I can think of many other places that would have said that it’s not possible to fix the exhaust pipe and made me replace the entire pipe.
Would definitely go back again. Highly recommend.

This is the second time I have taken my car into this shop and the mechanic was completely honest! SO SO SO refreshing. Heard a loud thumping and feared it might be a CV joint reading google, found out from them it was only a bolt inside my tire. Being a girl, Im so happy to find an honest mechanic who wont take advantage of girls. I HIGHLY recommend them!
This is after taking my car three times to Firestone who said I needed all this work on my car when it wasnt needed after all. They said it I needed all new brakes, rotors, and other stuff for $ 985. Took my car to these guys and all I needed was my rotors repaired and one brake pad. DONT GO TO FIRESTONE IN STEELE CREEK!

I had to have some repairs done to my car before the Holiday and felt as though they kinda had me over a barrel with the time constraint. Shana quoted me 90 $ per hour on the repairs (normally 60 $/​hr is adequate) and while they had my car in the shop for a total of 5 hours. Somehow on the itemized bill the labor came out to 625 $. And here I was thinking that only accountants double billed for their time? Mechanics love to pad the Time part of the equation on the «Time and Parts». While the parts for my car totaled only 225 $ the Labor was 625 $. If the book says a certain repair will take 3 hours and they finish in 2, guess what? You will be paying for the 3 hours. I digress. Anyways, a couple big takeaways from this visit I would like to point out to anyone thinking of using their service. Was the job done and done right? Absolutely… Was the work expensive and overpriced? Absolutely… If you have the time to shop around I would very much recommend you get several quotes and do research.

This place was recommended to me by a trusted neighbor. I did something stupid mid-​week and needed to get my car fixed — quickly, thoroughly and at a reasonable price.
I called at 8:50 am on a Saturday and explained my issue. «Come on in!» was the immediate response from Shana. I arrived and Chandler almost instantly was working on my car — test driving, examining all systems, looking for both obvious and hidden damages. He showed me exactly where the problem was and how to resolve it.
The issue was resolved, my car is fixed, service is prompt and professional and pricing is a great value.
