Consumers beware!!! This company is an absolute joke… A true scam in every aspect of the term.
I recently reached out to secure a singing pink gorilla for my husbands birthday, just a fun singing telegram is what I was guaranteed. What we received was everything less… The young man showed up and proceeded to tell his entire work it was his first day on the job. The interaction was humiliating and awkward, unprepared and not rehearsed!
The owner of the company, Peggy, should not be in business. I should have known better than to book with her when it took nearly 8 days to even get her to call me back, text me back or confirm our appointment. Her colleague Signa, finally contacted me the day of my husbands birthday and heckled me for 2 hours leading up to the appointment to send them a signed contract immediately. It took over a week to even receive the contract, then two hours before the scheduled appointment I was to find a printer, scan and send back?
Following the terrible performance I reached out to both ladies requesting a refund and explaining how poorly the act was done. I was told it would be handled and that I would hear back by the end of the evening. Now, 2 weeks later I have yet to hear back from either of them with a solution. The young man in the gorilla suit was asked to reach out to me asking questions about his performance and admitted he could have don’t «a lot» better job, yet still no action made to compensate the consumer on such a poor poor job.
This company should not be allowed in business, and should absolutely be reported to the BBB.

We recently hired a Pink Gorilla Singing Telegram through Monkey Business as part of a friend’s 50^th birthday celebration, and we were extremely disappointed. We were told that the individual who played the role is one of their top performers, and we were very surprised by that. Not only did she arrive not dressed at all like the «Diva Gorilla» we agreed upon, but the very basic pink gorilla costume was not even zipped up in the back, and the performer’s hair was exposed as well. She was running late (which was not a problem for us, and she did call to let us know), but it was evident that she was rushed and that she put very little time into getting ready and delivering her performance. We video taped it for the friend who was celebrating her 50^th, and the gorilla was there for a grand total of 2 ½ minutes, not 20 – 25 minutes as described when I called to inquire. The gorilla basically sang Happy Birthday and left. She did not put on any sort of skit, or engage with our birthday friend or others in conversation, despite the fact that, at their request, we had submitted detailed information online with funny things about our friend that they indicated would be incorporated into the performance. It was evident to us that the performer was eager to get out and be done with her evening, and we cannot believe that we paid $ 125 for what we consider to be an extremely short and poor performance. While we did call about using their services only 2 days in advance of our party, and we were aware that the performer had a very booked day, Monkey Business never indicated they could not accommodate us. We would have preferred to have been turned away than to have been given the «leftovers» from an overbooked performer who didn’t play out her role. Our experience with Monkey Business was a complete waste of money, and I can think of a lot of other wonderful gifts I could have spent $ 125 on for this dear friend’s birthday. In fact, I would be surprised if the performer herself left our party feeling as though she had done a good job. We reached out the next morning to complain to Monkey Business directly, and we even submitted the video so they could see it first hand. They acknowledged they received it, but have never followed up, nor replied to my latest email inquiring about the status of our inquiry. Needless to say, we will never use them again, nor do we recommend them.
