Mark Ballas Dance and Performance Arts

This is a fabulous ballroom, offering group lessons, private lessons, exercise classes, and dance parties. The professionalism and caring of hte staff is what sets Piper Glen apart. I consider it a second home.

I’ve trained in a lot of places — NYC, Chicago, SF Bay Area, DC, and this is one of the warmest, most welcoming studios I have ever been in. It is owned by professional standard couple, Dima and Erica Sazinas. They are completely invested in the studio, in their instructors, and in their students.
I drive from Durham just to come and take lessons here because I value the quality of the instruction, and the feeling of being part of their family. They are well worth the 320 mile round trip.
As far as my own background, I am a competitive ballroom dancer of almost 7 years now. BUT, I have to say that in addition to private lessons, Piper Glen also has wonderful group dance classes and social events.
I really believe that when you learn to dance, you should pick a studio that makes you feel comfortable. Dancing is all about connecting with other people and having fun. I think Piper Glen knows this, and that’s why it’s such a wonderful place to go.
