I come here to buy and sell very often! Sure, they only pay $ 2 – 6 per item, but hey it’s better than getting $ 0! They clothes they sell are cute and cheap. I got three shirts for $ 4 each, which is a great deal compared to going out and buying brand new clothes. The only complaint I have is that some items have unnoticeable defects until you have worn them for a while. I purchased a shirt there and when I was out wearing it I noticed loose threads coming from the seam, but I just got some scissors and removed them. Not a big deal, but since then I inspect every item before purchasing.

I have found a few items over the past year here. So I decided to try consigning. What a rip off! $ 23 for 2 Michael Kors dresses, 1 Talbot’s dress, a Nordstrom skirt and blouse and Via Spiga shoes. All either never worn or worn once. Won’t be spending my money here anymore!

If I could leave a negative star… I would! Brought 13 suits… all Talbots, Ellie Tahari to sell. First off was told they don’t take suits because«they don’t sell». Really? Wouldn’t that be an important points to put on their website(which it is not)??? Second they said they would look to see if they would but as separates(ummm but not as a suit) but ok. I n sooner walked across the parking lot to get a cup if coffee(since they said would take ½ hour) then I got a text that they were done«evaluating». So went back and they decided not to buy. Ok their choice. Then looked at the bags I brought them in… and they never even opened them. Really? I understand that this is not my business but come on… you have no respect for customers do even look? Or to waste my time? I will never deal without these peoples again. Ever. PS. I’ll stop at Goodwill and donate these items. At least someone will get good use if them and I’ll get a tax deduction.

Not very smart people working there. I recommend the uptown one. Much better choices there.

I think this store has a lot of great things!!! But i hate selling here! I give them nice brand name items, like banana republic, bebe, j crew ect… they give you like no money, rip off… For nice brand name items! I hate selling here… never again. Not worth it, i would rather sell on ebay or craigslist. Also some of there clothes that i bout and didnt really look into it was other stained or a hole somewhere… thats my fault. but they shouldnt sell that kinda item that is ruined in a way… but they have great prices!

I am a frequent shopper at Clothes Mentor. I love shopping there. But will never bring them any more of my clothes or shoes. First they don’t give you anything for them and then they never want any of my clothes. All brand names. They said it was because they were out of the two year window. Bull! I didn’t argue because it wasn’t worth it. But I knew for a fact that most of my items were under two years and in a couple cases one year. None of my items had holes or stains like some that I have found on the rack there. But I got over it. What really made me mad is my clothes that were folded nice and neat, placed in a thirty one utility bag, were crammed back in the bag like they were thrift store quality! Wrinkled! This is unacceptable. People’s items should be treated with respect even if the store doesn’t want them. People may want to take them somewhere else. Clothes Mentor is not the only women’s consignment store in Charlotte. Or maybe they were dry cleaned. Bottom line, great place to shop on occasion but not a good place to sell your clothes, shoes or hand bags.

Broad selection of clothes, shoes, belts, handbags and jewelry. The staff was helpful but not intrusive. I purchased a silk scarf and a necklace and left content.

So, I hate to be the lowest rated review, however my review is based on consigning with Clothes Mentor, rather than shopping there. After three visits, I was truly disappointed with the amount of money they give you for your items. I have brought good brands, J. Crew, Banan Republic, Seven Jeans, etc. and both visits offered less than $ 30 for 5 – 6 items. Ridiculous! I will continue to consign my clothes at other Charlotte stores, that pay you for the quality of your items.

OMG… Sooo much good stuff and such great prices!!! I stopped in to look for a dress, I left with a full bag of awesomeness. This place has it all! And such a good variety of different dresses, shorts, skirts, shoes and pants(some with the original tags still on them!) I could go on and on about how much I love this place! Just make sure you have plenty of time to walk through all the racks! I can’t wait to return…

This place is grand. A consignment lover’s dream– especially if you have a taste for finding designer clothing. First time coming here I found a few Michael Kors blouses and a Tori Burch sweater each for around $ 20 – 25. Wasn’t impressed with the fit of these particular garments, but I still walked out with a $ 5 tunic blouse from H&M, another top from a chic line I hadn’t heard of, also $ 5, as well as a fabulous BRANDNEW wool hat from Urban Outfitters(original price $ 34, bought it for $ 6) and some spiffy new $ 6 shades. This store has a wide, WIDE selection of shoes, pants, tops, sweaters, jackets, dresses and handbags. All reasonably priced. I shortened this bragging by one star, as I am not sure what their buying policy is. I’ll be back for sure.

Such a fun store to go to. Prices are reasonable. Lots to look through, make sure you have enough time to look. I found some great things here, all which were brand new with the tags on them. You can also sell your like new clothing here. I will definitely be back.

Great prices & a good selection of merchandise means that I will be back soon to do some more shopping at this new consignment shop in the Arbo. The store has a pretty large footprint for a consignment shop and they have so many racks of clothes, that you need to be prepared to spend some time hunting for your next bargain. I got a cute shirt for work for $ 8 and my sister found a great little skirt for $ 4! Gotta love it! Plus, they have several fitting rooms, so you shouldn’t have to wait too long to try something on. The employees I encountered were friendly & helpful. I will definitely be back to shop and will be bringing in some of my things to sell when I have some time to clean out my closet. So many consignment shops in town are over-priced, but this place definitely has some great bargains!

This place is cool, they’re full of really nice brands for good prices! And they seem to buy all types of clothes from athletic to maternity! Pretty cool :) Plus if you sell clothes to them, they give you cash. And the cash amount doesn’t differ like other stores where you have to choose between a high store credit or a lower cash amount.
