Love, love, love this place! We took a road trip to RI specifically to visit the Nordic Lodge and were not the least bit disappointed. When they say that you eat like a King, you certainly do. The lobsters were the draw for me here and they were soooo good. Cooked to perfection! I’m not a fan of drawn butter but theirs was very good. Unlike your typical, run of the mill buffets, the variety and quality of the food is exceptional here. Shrimp — all types of ways. Jumbo fried, stuffed, cocktail. you name it, they had it out. I’m not a beef eater but their prime rib was delicious! I normally snip a piece of beef off of whomever I’m dining with but I actually got my own this time around — so good! It’s hard not to fill up on the lobster/shrimp/prime rib schmorgashborg but you have to leave room for dessert. Like seriously leave some room because your visit to NL will not be complete. The dessert station is phenomenal! Just like the dinner buffet, the desserts are high quality. Chocolate covered strawberries, canolis, a half dozen drool worthy cakes, pies, cookies and even pudding. For $ 90, this place is an absolute steal.(Non alcoholic) drinks are included in the pricing and so are tax and gratuity. While the Manor in Jersey holds a special place in my heart, Nordic Lodge pairs a close second, if not on the same level.

Oh my goodness!!! Nordic Lodge!!! How many times have I told fellow seafood lovers to visit this place? If you are within 200 miles, PLEASEGOTOTHISRESTAURANT!!! Years ago, I read about this legendary buffet! It is the mecca for seafood addicts, the restaurant of your dreams, the least common type of culinary establishment in America. It is the all-you-can-eat lobster and crab leg buffet. They offer many other food items, but who cares. I always wanted to see this place for myself, but admittedly I had concerns. How good could the quality of an all-you-can-eat lobster buffet be? Is this like the seafood I ate on that Las Vegas casino buffet that still gives me nightmares? Definitely not! Not only was the lobster at Nordic Lodge unlimited. It was also the best quality lobster I have ever consumed!!! With the Atlantic Ocean practically in their backyard, the seafood here is quite literally fresh off the boat. Piles and piles of lobster and crab legs beckon you, having just arrived from their maritime habitat. You take the first bite of lobster and the meat is perfect. Tender yet firm, the essence of seafood but not fishy, slightly sweet and explosively flavorful. So amazing, I ate four large lobsters and many crab legs. Do not bother with the chicken, steak, and other non-seafood items for which Nordic Lodge is not well known. You’re just wasting space in your stomach and you’d be better off at a cheap Las Vegas buffet. If you have picky kids or are not a seafood fanatic, don’t spend the $ 93(for each person who is 13 and older) to eat here. Go crazy with the lobster, crab, clams, oysters, shrimp, and scallops and you will MORE than get your money’s worth!!! Best, and most plentiful, lobster in America!!! WARNING: Only open from mid-April to mid-December yearly.

LOBSTERFEAST!!! The place was very clean, and the food was fresh fresh fresh fresh. I have no complaints about this place and I will be returning. They have everything you can think of that an seafood buffet has to offer. Even melted butter for the lobster. It can’t any better then this. There is NO limit to how many lobster you can get, but you have to get one at a time. Which is very understandable. Price is definitely worth it. Everything was great. Also the scenery was amazing

The Nordic Lodge is a seafood lovers paradise: Crabs, Lobster, shrimp, scallops… You name, it, they’ve got it. The Key Lime pie pre-dinner drink was dessert in a glass and almost ruined my appetite. Delicious. In the future I will have a ‘game plan’ before partaking bcz rookies, like me, can be a little overwhelmed. Fortunately the staff is beyond friendly and helpful. After 6 lobster claws(I don’t like the tail) and lots of shrimp and crab I barely had room for the smörgåsbord of desserts! The food was amazing, but I must admit my favorite part of the evening was lying out on the hammock and watching the pond. Bliss.

First of all… my husband and I went for his birthday to eat dinner. It was nice and big selection. Good dessert. We had a lot… :-) but I give 4 starts because the price. It is very very pricy and that’s why we didn’t go back again. It was an one lifetime experience. If the price will go down. I’m sure we will going back.

Words cannot describe the happiness I feel about my Nordic Lodge experience. My buddy and I had been talking about hitting up The Nordic for months and finally the stars and planets aligned just right. We arrived right at 5pm on Friday and were seating right away. I was amazed by the wide selection of foods. I headed straight for the lobster and crab legs. The lobster fritters and cod were delicious! After two hours I had consumed enough food to keep me alive for weeks. Our waitress Amanda was top notch, always emptying our lobster carcass bowl, refilling our drinks all while smiling and being so kind. After my buddy and I stumbled out the door we hung out by the fire pit and discussed our eating accomplishment with fellow men of honor! I was stuffed and happy! The Nordic Lodge is a «must be tried once in your lifetime place.» I shall return when I’m hungry again!

This place is amazing. The price tag is expensive, but well worth the experience. It’s usually very busy, but they run this place like a well oiled machine. Imagine a buffet… with whole lobsters?! I have been able to eat three, but others at my table have eaten more. Steamed perfectly. This buffet food is not dry or over cooked. It’s like ordering the best things off a menu 7 different times… or more! Come with an appetite, you’ll need it!

Just visited this wonderful place for my birthday last night. It’s very expensive but a must try if you love lobster and beef. It’s a buffet but of the highest quality. The prime rib and filet mignon is excellent and done anyway you’d like and the all you can eat lobsters amazing. There was so many other delicious things to try but I focused mainly on the lobster and beef. But definitely save room for the amazing desserts. Everything your heart desires including a great ice cream sundae bar! Arrive early to enjoy a cocktail on the beautiful grounds on the lake. Sit by the fire pit and visit the adorable alpacas and horses. The service is top notch as well. They have thought of every detail to make your visit enjoyable!

Insane. AYCE Lobster, shellfish and all the best seafood you can imagine. They have some kind of meat bar too, steaks, etc, just not sure why you would eat steak at a Lobster buffet. I just go to RI for summers, but look forward to next summer already, and will be sure to hit them up a few more time.($ 91 per person Incl tax and 10% tip, ofc u should leave more, great service was received every time) and has to be the best value meal I have ever gotten

If you like lobster, this is the place to go! Unlimited lobster buffet. Get up… get your lobster, sit down, Get up… get your lobster, sit down. and repeat! So much more too. Dessert was great at the Hagan Daz bar. It is a trip from New York so it really should be part of another destination.

Best buffet ever! I’m at a loss for words that’s how good it is. They have everything you could ever want. Totally worth the money. The location may be even better Than the food(and that’s damn good) nestled right on a pond with a bonfire, volleyball, hammocks, alpaca llamas etc.

We did not come here for the buffet, although I have only heard good things about it! If you love seafood and are willing to pay about $ 90 then you should check it out. Sitting outside overlooking the lake is such a nice experience for lunch or dinner. They have a drink and small food menu for the outdoor seating. You can bring your own chairs or sit at their tables or seats if there are spots available. The bacon wrapped scallops are really good, same with the chicken fingers, and their fries are some of the best I’ve had! Good service and friendly atmosphere!

I’m actually only giving 4 stars because the lobster was well prepared and my wife and I each got 3 of dem bad boys in us… also the filet was melt in your mouth. The desert bar has all you could possibly want… if you are a frequent visitor to seafood and Chinese buffets you will be disappointed with the steam table items… only one small steam table with a very limited(and dried out) selection… For 91.00 per. person we can do and have done better closer to home… it was fun however and the staff was excellent!

First time visitor. And came when they opened. 4 bus loads beat me so i have to wait. On Sat they open 4pm. I got here 4:13pm. And there is a wait list. So plan to get here. I am sure 6−7p it will be off the hook packed with people waiting to get in. So sat at the bar and had a Pina Calada that was really good. And than came the food. You name it and they pretty much have it. But see if you can try and not eat to much So you have room for desserts. The desserts are off the hook. Hats off to the bakers. Excellent job on all there. Display as well as taste. The give you 2 hours to enjoy the foods. You can even walk out for smoke. Or go bathroom(sorry for details Unilocalers) to make more room lol. And still come back and continue on long as within your 2 hours. The grounds are really nice. Good for pictures with your party. Excellent place. And though it seems pricy. After seeing all the crabs, crab legs and lobster one can put down. I’d say the price is not that high. But for a non eater like me. It can be pricy for a meal. And the local area has so much to offer which makes the area a very good place to venture too. I can see myself returning.

Let me just say my Queen & I have Been coming here for the past 10 years or so… and we have never been disappointed. My main objective is the lobsters, and I had a total of 4& I’m not apologizing!!! The clam chowder was simply outstanding… I can talk about the dessert which was pure decadence, you must try the brownies and the cheesecake… prior to leaving, I spoke to Lisa, I believe she’s the owner/manager, and she was very pleasant & cordial which is on par with the staff at this great establishment…

Nordic Lodge is not your typical Buffet. This is a Lobster Lover & Steak Fanatic’s Paradise. Rhode Island shares the same body of water as Maine so you know it’s real! The theme of the venue is a lodge. Bison heads on the wall, stuffed bears. Hillbilly country club. I went on a bus trip my neighbor planned and had a ball. Our 1st stop was Nordic. When we arrived we were given the rules and regulations of dining before entering the property that resembles a country club. There are paddle boats, a donkey and other animals on the land. Hammocks everywhere. The real feel of a vacation/country club. I spent sometime taking in the scenery as we waited to be seated. Seated quickly, we headed to the lines to eat. The Lobster line features seafood salads and whole lobsters. Next to the lobsters is the salad bar, featuring soups, clams, salad fixings etc. I had the Cajun lobster and regular lobster salad. Delicious and we’ll mixed. Not an overdose of mayo. Perfect. I also had the sweetest corn on the cob in my life!!! Perfectly paired with my lobster. The Grill Room features savory and succulent Strip Steak, Prime Rib, Filet Minon. Cut thin and tender to the core!!! Perfect crisp charcoal exterior, filled with juice. A meat lovers heaven! The lines to grab grub were a bit of a headache. But it was all worth it. After my 2nd plate, I was at capacity and only had room for dessert. They give you 2 Hours for all you can eat. I headed over to the Haggen Daz Sundae bar, which offers sundaes, shakes and scoops. I opted for a chocolate fudge brownie, a slice of Snickers Cheesecake and 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream. My belly was content. I headed back outside to digest my meal with a beautiful landscape. The service at Nordic is impeccable. A bunch of friendly professionals who run a tight ship here. I will be back like Arnold S !

Finally made it here and was super excited! The staff was extremely polite and welcoming. Now down to the food… Honestly, besides the crab legs and the lobster everything was mediocre. The only reason I gave them 4 stars was because of the scenery and the fact that I can eat all the lobster and crab I want. The food lacked some flavor. I didn’t bother eating much of anything else. Overall, it’s a nice experience if you’re into seafood, but don’t get ur hopes all the way up as far as the flavor of the food. If you have a sweet tooth then you’ll definitely be happy, they also have a full bar.

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service! My husband has been raving about this place for years, this was my first time joining him and it won’t be my last. The food was extremely fresh and high quality. I enjoyed the Lobster, shrimp, crab legs, chowder and a few fantastic desserts. I was also impressed by the service, everyone was super friendly and helpful.

I have always loved Nordic Lodge since a child. Although back then it was less expensive. But where else can you go for unlimited food for less than $ 100. Food includes: different cuts of steak, shrimp, chicken, fries, lobster, crab legs, pasta, ice cream station, dessert bar, various seafood salads, etc. The staff are always nice and they also have events. I always visit with the alpacas and horses. However on this most recent trip I learned that they have a firepit, volleyball and canoeing on the pond. I overheard our waitress tell another table that it used to be a resort

Nordic Lodge for a birthday bash? Sign me up! Here’s a tip list to help navigate the lodge(in no particular order of importance): Tip #1: Arrive with a semi-empty stomach. You will probably need to wait at least 30 minutes for a table, especially if you’re with a group of 5 or more. I recommend snacking on some light protein just so that the hunger Hulk doesn’t break out during your wait. Tip #2: Follow the coach buses if you’re arriving during lunch time or just before dinner. These coaches carry buffet enthusiasts from CT and NY; they certainly won’t lead you astray as you drive down the winding road through foliage along the lake. Tip #3: Wear the bib. It doesn’t matter if you’re not going to get any seafood(although I would question your reasons for even going to the Nordic if you don’t plan on eating at least one lobster). With the amount of food you’ll need to pack away just to make the trip worthwhile, you won’t want to get any on your clothes. Oh, you won’t be able to take any food out of the lodge after you’re done gorging yourself(not that you’d want to). Tip #4: You can choose the gender of your lobster, and ask for a lobster with claws(if you happen to be handed one without). If you enjoy lobster roe, this is your chance to eat as much of it as possible! Tip #5: The meat station is located directly across from the general buffet station in a room slightly offset from the main dining room. Try the angus prime rib or the filet mignon! Tip #6: Booze is not included in the flat fee. Not that I recommend that anyway — it fills up the stomach too quickly. What IS included is tax and 10% tip. Tip #7: Take some time to admire the natural beauty of the lake and the animals residing on the property. There are lawn chairs, hammocks, and fire pits on the grass by the lake, which are a great recovery area after downing 4 – 5 pounds of food. Thor the fjord horse and the alpacas are adorable and quite entertaining to look at while you wait for your table as well. Tip #8: Order an orange cream soda at the ice cream station to go with your lobster. It’s surprisingly refreshing and cleanses the palate for more delectable food. Tip #9: Move around a bit after the gorging to help with digestion. We sat for 15 minutes in the hammocks /lawn chairs, but then decided to play some beach volleyball on the sand court. That actually helped to alleviate some of the stomach cramps from packing away too much food. Tip #10: Smile at the waitstaff — they work hard to keep your dining space clean and make the experience unique for each guest. It helps to keep the mood light and pay it forward. Most importantly — have fun and eat tons!
