Awful! In all aspects of a restaurant this place was just plain awful. The service was exceptionally horrible. There was a band playing and I guess we got lost in her mix but we Waited 20 mins to even be greeted. Then it took approx 30 mins to get our food, an hour to get our check, and 15 mins to get our card back after attempting to pay the bill. The food wasn’t great, mediocre at best. Actually 3 out of the 4 of us were ill after eating.

Amazing service, amazing food. One of the best margaritas Ive ever had. Makes me sad I live nowhere near here. I would be a regular.

The most interesting setting for a restaurant let alone true authentic Mexican food. Great service.

Super cool location! An old CSX passenger train that has been converted into a restaurant. We shared a huge queso-chorizo appetizer, and it was absolutely some of the best queso I’ve ever had! My entrée, the chicken and cheese nachos, were also really delicious. And to top it all off, our server, Christina, was incredibly sweet and welcoming. She she made us feel like we were all just old friends. This is definitely a new fave!!!

So delicious and fresh! Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Homemade sauces and guacamole. Well worth stopping by or taking a trip to Charlestown for lunch or dinner!

This has been the best Mexican restaurant I have eaten at on the Southern Indiana side of Louisville. The atmosphere in the train car is fun, and the service has been excellent both times I have gone. The salsa is fresh and delicious, drink specials seemed reasonable, and the food is really good. I have had the Burritos Carnitas and the Chilaquiles. I highly recommend the Burritos Carnitas as the tomatillo salsa and pork are excellent. I am excited to go back and know that I will be going here often.

We stopped in thinking it was a quaint roadside diner. We were surprised to find… a Mexican restaurant in an old train car. And it… wasn’t great. The food came out quickly, so that was good. And our waiter was nice. But the food wasn’t great. My tacos were just shells with the meat in it. Not even cilantro or onion… Basically, it was entirely unimpressive. And the restroom… I have used cleaner and nicer toilets on *actual* operating trains!

First off the restaurant is in train card, several of them and that alone makes the experience far more fun. Service was very attentive. I mentioned to the waiter that I am always looking for places that will cater or take groups and he sent out the owner. He was very accommodating going so far as to offer that even items or drinks(beer) that are not on the menu can be made available for my group with a couple of days notice. We discussed catering and some history of how they came into such an interesting location. The waiter did not just take my order, he was skilled in upgrading and sold me on the idea of a Tequilazo specialty. He was right, and I hated him for it! First of the dish was giant, second it was really very good! Now I will need to find a friend or two to share it with so I can order it again. I ended up taking half of my order home with me. I loved the salsa, no tinny taste, with chunks of vegetables that were clearly fresh. I would rate the heat a medium on the Pace salsa level of heat. Perfect for me, too mild for some, too hot for people who like mild. They were quick with drinks and the receipt has the tip suggestions which I like even when I ignore them. They are lacking a large sign but the owner says one is coming. However it’s really tough to miss the little hill along highway 62 with train cars pushed together and giant poll that has a car mounted on top of it for some reason. It’s great to see so many new choices coming to this growing area. With all the construction of warehouses finding a good place for lunch around here was tough. Not so much now with several good choices in the area.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon walk to check the restaurant out. We had just heard of it last week, so needed to give it a try, support local vendors. Outer premise is a few train cars coupled together. The setting isn’t not of a Mexican typical location. There is s need for signage; a bit difficult to locate unless your a close local. Interior is of a train car with table setting along with a additional side room with bench type booth setting. Was welcome as we entered, host was kind and immediately you felt a warm welcoming. Service was quick, although we were 2nd couple in restaurant. It quickly turned around as 5 groups came in right after us. Must of been their first go around as well, timidly walking in and quite observant as they were seated. Our drinks were quickly bought to our table with chips and salsa; both tasted fresh made and the chips were corn, thick but lightly crunchy. Service on our food was quick, everything was hot and fresh. My wife had chicken quesadillas, nice lightly crunchy tortillas with fresh tasty chicken, melted cheese, very tasty. I had taco de carne asada, the steak grilled on a very hot grill, slightly naturally blackened, slight crispy taste. The sauce and topping(fresh tomatoes, onions, cilantro, peppers added a great taste and some heat. The steak was tasty and juicy. I had a side of refried beans(versus rice and beans) enough to make a meal in itself, sprinkled with some of my sauce and chips made a excellent compliment to my meal. The beer could have been a bit more chilled. The establishment has a ways to go to get themselves known, but our host, server and most likely cook made you feel welcome and asked if you like the meal and generally seem quite sincere. If they get this type of service and fresh authentic food they should do fine. Support them a watch them grow to be a awesome 4 star restaurant you will come back to…

Food and service were both good. Was your standard authentic Mexican restaurant. Atmosphere was nothing to write home about but service was excellent. Food came quickly and margaritas were generously sized.
