Very much out-of-the-way of downtown bustle but worth the trip. Their selection is not better than larger stores such as Bottles, but I like how they have unique wines that you won’t find elsewhere. The owner, Debbie, is amazing at helping you pick out a wine that suits both your tastes and your meal. She is super friendly and always excited to help. They have wine tastings on some Friday’s for $ 5 and gift wrap upon request.

Wow! What a lucky find! My wife and I were staying at the marina across from The Wine Shop of Charleston for the weekend. I am so glad I found this place nearby despite only a few reviews! I met the owner, Debbie, who was super friendly and reccomended a few wines for me based on what I liked. She was awesome! The other two employees that were also working there were super awesome too! I ended up hanging out with them for a bit as we chatted about what I should do for the day while my wife was busy with other business. They reccomended their favorite restaurants, which lead me on the path to an awesome day in Charleston! Parking can be tough, but there are spots available for«The Marina Building» between the gas station and the wine shop. I didn’t realize this at first and paid to park at the marina lot. I really wish I had a shop like this at home! We will definitely make a stop to stock up with their recommendations any time we are in Charleston!

We were staying in Folly Beach and I wanted some good wine for a family birthday. I called a few places looking for a Chateauneuf-du-Pape and they led me to The Wine Shop. It wasn’t far from FB at all and WOW, what a selection! I will be back for sure!

This is an awesome wine store. My husband is a wine snob and can always find fabulous wines here. The variety is extremely good; the owner is very knowledgeable but not pushy. It’s always one of our stops when visiting Charleston.

Just went in and bought 4 bottles of Vino Verde for $ 10 a piece. Not a bad price at all. I live downtown and they only other place that sells this wine is TJs or Bottles/Total Wine. They have a great selection of wines and the view from the store of the harbor is gorgeous! Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I knew this place existed, but from the outside it seemed like a tiny little out of the way wine shop. Really, wine and liquor in Charleston. You can drop a pin and find alcohol here. Why try hard. The Wine Shop is situated on Lockwood, by the marina on the second floor of a business office complex. What a shocking surprise. The place is huge, the staff is so relaxed and the offerings of rose, Australian, Shiraz, dessert wines, German wines and even fresh cheese were outstanding. You can get bottles from $ 8.00 to $ 399.00. For a true wine lover, this is a gem of a find. Make some time to explore the Wine Shop. There is free parking in the lot between the building and the gas station.

Wine lovers paradise. Not your grocery store wine kind of place. The owner, Debbie, always has great recommendations for any budget. It’s fun exploring new and different wine besides my usual Sauvignon Blanc. She’s helped me with my wedding and dinner parties so I’m sure to serve great wine. Really good french, italian and spanish selection too. Usually, pouring wine on Friday nights to try something new. Also, love the half-case and case discounts!

I don’t go to The Wine Shop that much anymore. For Friday tastings, Crushed is worlds better. One thing that The Wine Shop still has going for it is the selection; they have a different variety of wines than Crushed(a lot from France and a moderate amount from Italy), and it easier to browse than Avoldale Wine & Cheese. I still go to Crushed first for the service and to Avondale second for the cheese, The Wine Shop is third on my list.
