Joseph Aiken Mansion Carriage House

Not Tara, but pretty good!
We stayed in Unit A, 1 of 4 guest houses in Carriage House behind the Joseph Aiken Mansion.
They have a private enclosed parking area. The location while not on the Battery was close to most local attractions (Bay St.) and quiet. It was walking distance to restaurants (Saffron), a super market, & pharmacy.
Before we checked in Thad, the manager took us on an interesting tour of the historic mansion.
Our 1 bedroom guest house was completely re-​done 3 years ago. While retaining most of the historic charm it had modern amenities in the kitchen & bathrooms. Including a flat screen TV with cable. The 4 poster elevated bed with armoire fit the décor perfectly. Our unit had a small private patio we used for breakfast.
Our only complaints were caused by pesky insects! We saw 1 giant roach, & were bitten by a few mosquitoes. Well, what do you expect mid-​summer in the South. Bring the deet!
Overall we loved this place & would gladly return.
