Service is friendly, professional, and prompt. Food is good. However the environment leaves much to be desired. They are attempting an Oak or Halls environment in a James Island strip mall parking lot. The patio has the overwhelming nose of a busy parking lot. Inside black painted acoustic tile ceilings and miss matched lighting fixtures as well as inexpensive back bar wood, and empty bourbon bottles filled with dyed water, leaves it feeling like they went half way on the renovation while trying to be a high end location. They did an awesome job on the bar itself. If they would just slightly tone down the high end attempt and take it for what it is-James island shopping center location. They could nail it while delivering excellent food in a more casual environment attracting the areas large number of young professionals. This place often has a large number of empty seats at peak hours while surrounding area eateries such as the terrace area are on long waits. I wish yall the best just think about the surrounding clientele and location!

Just stopped by one time for lunch. The atmosphere was very pleasant, a little stuffy for my taste but pleasant. The server was extremely nice and the manager came out and checked on us. So they are very customer service oriented. The were not very busy and my service and food was delivered very promptly. I just had a salad but it was awesome.

I went to CURE last evening with a group of friends. It is very nice inside, sort of a rustic elegant, with a great fireplace and lighting, so first impression was great. Our waitress, Chelsea, was good. Our appetizer– the CURE platter –meats and cheeses — was very good. The CURE salads were very good. Dinner however is where it started to go downhill. Our group discussed how hard it has been to keep a good nicer restaurant on James Island. This is a perfect example of what not to do! All of the parts are there– comfortable, upscale dining room, good waitstaff– but for goodness sake why can’t the food be served hot and cooked? I ordered Kansas city ribeye– it came to the table cold, as did the mac and cheese. The meat had NO flavor, was fatty and full of gristle. The macaroni in the mac and cheese was not cooked all the way, it was hard a chewy. My friend had the hen –it was cold, the brussel sprouts were hard. They offered her a replacement side– that came to the table– cold. Does the food get put out to be brought to the table and just left to sit somewhere? I was disappointed, it started out so well. I will try it one more time to give it a fair shake. I did notice a man who seemed to be a manager(black suit coat) clearing tables and removing the table linen and setting the table for the next patrons. There should be someone else doing that so he can pay attention to what is coming out of the kitchen and checking on the patrons! I hope the manager reads this and addresses the cold and undercooked food. You have a the potential to be great, work on the problems and fix them. I’d love to see CURE succeed. We need a fine dining spot on James Island.

I had great expectations about the new restaurant on James Island. Upon entering the restaurant, I was impressed with the transformation from what was once J’Pauls. The interior of the restaurant has a great ambiance. However, that’s where it peaked for me and my date this evening. We ordered appetizers, and didn’t wait long for them to arrive. We did have to wait for plates to put the apps on. Both of the plates we were brought were dirty. They were covered with a rough texture of whatever was on the plate before, though not visible to the naked eye. Moments later, our main dish came out, so we didn’t have time to complete the app. My date ordered the fillet, however it was very fatty, but that aside it was not terrible. My dish, was yet again dirty. I had to send it back. The manager brought the new dish out and apologized. My meal was the yellow fin tuna. It was maybe a few degrees warmer than room temperature. I picked at it, and ate the warmer parts, because at this point I was hungry and didn’t want to wait on the kitchen again. Did I mention the table we were eating at was very wobbly in this new restaurant? I was very respectful to our server, and tipped ~30% since she was trying to make an effort. I made sure to pass along to the manager my dissatisfaction, again I was respectful, as not to offend anyone. He took my meal off the ticket. Honestly, I would have preferred a decent meal. It appears, a decent meal is not on the menu. I will not be returning. Such a shame, because I liked the atmosphere. It was obvious to us both, most of the money went to the remodel.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful… Stopped in on a lark to ‘grab a bite’. The atmosphere is intimate, cozy, and lends itself to conversation. There is a gas fireplace a bar area that isn’t obtrusive to the dining area at all. We ordered three appetizers and settled in. The result was an incredible ‘party in the mouth’ experience. The presentation of the food was tasteful and every inch the equal of the quality, care, passion, and talent that obviously went into the food itself. Fine dining has come to James Island. Please, try it… you will not be disappointed.

This place was awesome me and my wife had diner here and was a little sceptical. We walked in and the atmosphere couldn’t have been more classy. Not a 5 star atmosphere but a 4 star steak restaurant but I must say I loved the Mac n cheese best I’ve had in a long time and very fresh.

This is such a great addition to James Island. I have been twice so far. The first time, we just went to check it out and sat at the bar. The bartender, Claire, was very helpful in suggesting a cocktail for me from their menu. The second time we sat at a table for dinner. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and is very intimate. The tables aren’t so close together that you can touch the people next to you, which is an issue in many restaurants in Charleston. The oysters rockefeller were delicious as were both the Kansas City strip and the prime rib. The general manager spoke with us both times we were there and was very personable and thanked us for coming. The prices compared to other steakhouses in Charleston were affordable and it’s nice to have this as a dining option on James Island.

Had lunch at the new CURE on James Island. The service and food were outstanding. An upscale restaurant but at very reasonable prices. This was such a wonderful surprise for James Island. A great way to get the same cuisine offered at restaurants downtown without having to go downtown.

Great food, great service, and lots of bourbon. I had the fanciest chicken and waffles at Sunday brunch the other day. It was delicious! It was a little pricey for James island, but good nonetheless. I was not in the mood for bourbon so early in the day, but noticed they had a large assortment of it. I will have to go back and try them.

This is a great new restaurant on James Island that I highly recommend. Even though it’s located on James Island it has the flair, service and food of a fine dining spot on East Bay Street. The ambiance is very intimate and sexy and the gas burning fireplace added a romantic feel to our evening. The food was fresh and well prepared. I highly recommend the Tuna and creamed Kale. The wait staff was above par and the manager went out of his way to introduce himself and ensure that we were satisfied with the entire experience. A definite 5 plus more dining experience! Cure has just raised the bar on James Island

One of the coziest sexiest bars/restaurants in Charleston. Very quiet and intimate where they spared no expense on the interior. I was treated so nicely the minute I walked through the overbuilt double doors that looked as if they came out of some poem from the 17th century. The staff was A+ and I was treated like an old friend for my entire stay. The drinks were sublime, thanks to Danny at the bar, and his comrade(Claire) turned me on to the most delicious white wine to go with my oysters Rockefeller, that were, frankly, off the hook!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Intimate ambiance with perfect mood lighting and fire place. Reminds me a lot of McCrady’s downtown. Service was on point and food was great. I wasn’t expecting it to be as pricey as it was, but nonetheless, the food was up to par. We had the charcuterie board, sirloin, Mac n cheese, and yellow fin tuna and we were not disappointed.
