On the Subaru service: I’m picky about where I bring my car, in part because I love it and in part because I’ve had all sorts of bad experiences with past cars at places. The folks here do good work and great service. They’ve helped me out(e.g., getting me in same-day in a jam); usually have discounts(mailed or online); and prices are worth it: with discount, it’s the same or cheaper for an oil change as Jiffy Lube, etc., and the parts are reasonably priced. I haven’t had to do any major service here yet that wasn’t under warranty, so I don’t know about those prices. Remodeled waiting room is big, or just wait in the shop chairs. Free wi-fi. I always manage to get work done while waiting. Only downside is I’m used to getting a free Subaru loaner with major services, and they don’t do that here.(They do have a free shuttle van, but that doesn’t work nearly as well for a whole day without a car.)
