Only BBQ joint around and still Meh. I won’t write what some locals nicknamed it because it’s a naughty word but it rhymes with business name. Meat was dry like it was sitting around being petrified. Had to add sauce. Inside needs a facelift. Can do better in my slow cooker and a bottle of Kraft.

This is the only bbq place I could find in Chanute. They are only open 11 — 7 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. Also, this is not a sit down place and you have to get your food to go. Cash only. Check the website for their menu which is not very extensive but they do have ribs. I ended up ordering the half slab of ribs. It was not cooked with any bbq sauce so I had to add it on my own separately. They do give you small containers of bbq sauce that you can add on. The ribs weren’t scored so I had to cut them myself. Overall, ribs were ok. Not fall off the bone like how I normally like it. If you are craving bbq and you don’t have time to go to Kansas City, then this is the only place to come to.
