Stain Away Carpet & Tile Cleaning

I found this cleaner on Craigslist. Previously I’d had very good luck with services on Craigslist before. And I saw them listed on Angie’s List as well. During my phone call I informed the owner that I had four rooms, two large, two small, and that i had pet stains that needed to be treated. He quoted me $ 75. I thought that was extremely reasonable so I confirmed with him that the $ 75 was for the whole job. He confirmed.
When he arrived I wasn’t home. My wife texted me to tell me that he was now charging $ 200 for the job, a 150% markup. I texted him for an explanation. He advised that it was for pretreatment of pet stains. I told him that I’d explained there were pet stains in our initial call and then confirmed the fee for the job. He responded with «Anytime you have pet stains it’s going to be more. Everyone charges more».
So essentially he is telling me that it is industry standard to give a low quote to get the job, then jack up the rate at the job site. And this is understandable. You’ve taken the time to be there for the cleaning. You’ve moved furniture around. It would be decidedly inconvenient to turn them away when they are there. And according to him, this dishonest practice is the norm.
I run a small business. This is not the norm. And it’s no way to retain customers. I could have gotten a large, proven, licensed carpet company to come out and clean the carpets for $ 200. This is just another example of a small business owner giving small business a bad name.

Never! I found his ad on Craigslist and requested that 2 rooms be cleaned. The Owner NICK AYACHE told me he would only come out for 3 Rooms. When I asked him about stain treatment he told me to «take my business elsewhere» and called me «CHEAP». I told him I am willing to pay for the extra services, he told me to «F&%K off»

This idiot claims to be licensed despite no license existing for carpet cleaning. When I asked him what is his license number he told me to go f myself. He claims to have been in business since 2001 but states other places 2005.
$ 8.95 per room until he shows than it you have to pay for this and that in order for it to come out right. BAIT AND SWITCH
