I have been a patient of Dr. Walmer for 14 years. I find that he anticipates any potential health problems I may have and does the appropriate tests for them. I believe he is very aggressive with my healthcare needs. His is friendly and very responsive if I should call and need anything. Sometimes I can be seen by the physician’s assistant. She is very knowledgeable and has more time to spend with me explaining various aspects of my care. I am very satisfied and have referred friends to Dr. Walmer. I do see the medical staff in Dr Walmer’s and my specialist doctors offices being more pressured due to the AHCA.

Dr. Walmer get’s 5 stars. I have several illnesses, and conditions that I have to deal with. Over the years, I have seen maybe 20 different primary doctors due to moving, changing insurance, etc. So, when I say that Dr. Walmer is a great doctor, I know what I’m talking about. His bedside manner is calm and professional. I feel assured he is listening to the concerns I want to discuss at each visit. He takes time to check over my records to see if routine blood work needs to be done. He runs the necessary tests, writes the prescription, and gives referrals when needed. He takes the time to explain things, and assumes I am intelligent. I’m a tough case when it comes to my health, and I was very happy with Dr. Walmer. HOWEVER, over the past several months, the highly capable staff is just overloaded. It was taking up to 2 months to get a referral, 2 – 3 weeks to get a prescription called in, and voice messages were not being heard. They pretty much just rely on the patient portal on the internet. If you don’t go through that, they probably won’t get your message. Then, even if they do get the message on the portal, there is miscommunication and slow results. I’ve put up with all I can. :( I genuinely hope management gets together and figures out how to improve business.

Really horrible, and sad. Dr. Walmer was my(95 year old) father’s primary physician and did the absolute minimum during recent years as he slipped into dementia. Of course there will be deterioration — physical, mental, often both — at that age but there are things that can be tried and Dr. Walmer suggested nothing beyond routine blood analysis and annual physicals. He is separated from his patients by layers of bureaucracy and when I met him face to face finally I looked for some sign of caring and found none. What a difference now that my dad is in a memory care home with its own dedicated doctor.

Absolute worse experience I have ever had with a doctor’s office. I waited an hour before the receptionist told me she forgot to verify my insurance and the office had gone to lunch. She asked me to wait another hour! She seemed to care less and wasted my time. This office is a joke. Do not waste your time.
