Wampler Property Management

If zero stars were possible that’s what they would get. Haven’t even rented with them simply tried to set up an appointment to see a property. But how dare I. The extremely aggressive receptionist could apparently not admit her mistake and instead tried to blame us for not confirming the appt when her boss was out. We came from out of town and tried to explain this. Ultimately we left, called back to try to reschedule, got yelled at and hung up on. She wouldn’t take my number for her boss to call me back asking «are you going to tell on me?» Dodged a bullet with these people. I’ve met horrible landlords in champaign but usually it takes a bit longer to show. I would suggest staying away.

I never got a star sticker back in elementary school for being rude, condescending, and having people drive way out of their way only to stand them up. But Unilocal doesn’t have a meter stick to slap their knuckles… fine 1 star it is. As you can see from my profile, I am a long time Unilocaler, but I have been reluctant to write reviews of businesses because I understand mistakes. I say this merely to evidence just how appalled I am by the behavior of Wampler. Don’t talk back to prospective tenants, treat current tenants with respect, and get your act together!
Professionalism is beyond their comprehension and I will be advising the student tenant union to warn their students about Wampler in the future. As a grad student in Champaign for the past few years, I understand good property management in the area is hard to come by, but this is a new low! CPM is curteous and respectful compared to them! Low bar, but they are horrendous.

I can’t speak to all their properties because I only toured two of their apartments and only live in one, but thus far my experiences with Wampler have been great.
The realtor called me the morning of our appointment to confirm our meeting and was on time (which wasn’t the case with the other company I worked with). Wampler also accommodated my need to move into a place fairly quickly and they’ve been friendly any time I’ve interacted with them.
