nice place to go with a wide variety of drinks to sample, great soft pretzels to munch on while you can catch up with a friend

Let’s face it: PA has some of the most insane and plainly dumb alcohol regulations. Good To Go is an oasis in this land of confusion. They’re one of the very few places that sell six packs of craft beer(I’d also recommend Giant in Gettysburg). They have a nice variety of beers, most of which are chilled. The prices are steep(compared to, say, NC prices), but average for the area. They’re often busy on weekends and around holidays, and it’s always great to see them doing such good business. Worth checking out if you’re in the area and looking for a nice selection of 4 – 6 pack craft beer. Oh, and they also have taps for drinking in-house as well as filling for growlers.

I remember when I first got into craft beer and my hometown offered nothing. Well fast forward 8years and Good-Ta-Go is one of the best thing smoking in Chambersburg. They offer some of the regions best beers in a 6pack or give customers the option to build their own. The beers that you can choose from are color coded which determine your final cost. The store is clean and easy to navigate. The huge TV screens display the various beer prices they have in bottle and on tap. The taproom is awesome. You have the opportunity to chill with a few friends and grab a quick beer or just sit back and try what is new on tap. The employees are help and are knowledgable about the beers in stock. This place gets an A+ in my book.

I really liked this place, was very glad it was open. I’ve been there many times and enjoyed a beer while working on my laptop. Went there recently with my mother. We stopped and got some seafood salad and peanuts to eat with our beer as we sat out in the garden area and ran a tab. Apparently this is an absolute NONO at this establishment as we were quickly told by the owner(in a VERYCURT manner) that we should not be bringing food into a restaurant – OK, sorry, didn’t realize this nor did I see any signs stating no outside food allowed. Considering that the menu at Good to Go offers hot dogs, nachos, and a cheese plate, I certainly don’t consider it a restaurant, nor does the state of Pennsylvania. I asked to pay for the two drinks we had received and we would leave. The owner told me, «here’s your card, just get out of here.» Wow, have never been treated so badly at an establishment… Won’t drop another dime there.

First time here and I’m amazed. Will be coming back on multiple occasions that’s is for sure. Tons of choices and all reasonable on price. They let you build your own 6 pack on top of trying new flavors that most of us would not have the opportunity to try.

This is one of the spots that makes you thankful for Unilocal. I was looking for a craft beer spot on my way home from visiting my family in WV, and since I typically grab lunch near Chambersburg, a Unilocal search was in order. The store is off to itself and unremarkable looking — good, let the people who can’t appreciate a good beer go somewhere else. But there’s nothing ordinary about the cooler upon cooler of six-packs and singles. Whether your tastes run from domestics, to imports, or to various craft beers, you will have to suppress the urge to bow. There are two pricing levels to their craft beers: a six pack from the larger section for $ 14, and a four pack from the smaller section for $ 14. I was able to select things I’ve not seen on shelves in the northeast, such as Bell’s from Michigan. And since I’ve been curious about Tröegs Mad Elf yet unwilling to spend $ 15 to try a carton, I was glad to find that as a selection. I grabbed a pretzel to snack on with a draft — lots of variety for that and growlers too — and was already planning my next visit. Tell your friends, but not too many!

DH and I drive up from the Martinsburg, WV area. He likes to get growlers and/or a selected 6 pack of craft brews. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. They have about 30 craft beers on tap that rotate almost every time we come up. Bathroom and tables are always clean. Always have good time here. The hot pretzel and beer tastings, watching tv, looking through their magazines — i.e. «Beer Advocate», a plus. Thinking of subscribing to it for DH.

Great selection of beers and awesome service! The prices are a little higher than you might expect, but this is probably due to it being one of the only places to have this wide of a beer selection in the area.

Pennsylvania laws for alcohol are super dumb(I’m not from here) so I was skeptical heading here. The beer selection is spectacular though. So many bottles and amazing draft beers. Prices weren’t horrible either. They even have a HH with some of the draft beer on deals. You can order growlers to go or mix and match six packs as well. The food is ok, not really a meal but something to get you by while drinking. Don’t be turned off by the industrial style park, and you don’t really have any other options in the area anyways!

Nice selection of domestic craft beers, but the import section was really lacking. If they would have had any of the 5 imports I was looking for I would have given them the 4 stars. The inside tables are kind of strange, I was expecting a bar. When you go make it during nice weather and sit outside there is nice open air patio seating. I got a couple growlers filled and then ventured home. It was a really nice place for Chambersburg.

No more to say. I would suggest better food selection! Wings? mussels?

Definitely one of the best places to get craft beers in the area. They have a ton of options from your standard domestic beers to the more specialty craft beers. You can make your own six pack as well as buy singles and 12 and 24 packs. In addition to all of the bottles and cases they have they also have thirty beers on tap. You can get half and full growlers filled up there as well. I’ve been able to find beers here that I haven’t been able to find anywhere else, including Wegmans, which is the second best place I can think of in the area to get singles and to make your own six packs. They also have a drive thru to pick up cases which I think is pretty cool too. They do weekly beer tastings and have events too so it’s always worth it to stop in and try something new.

I’ve visited craft beer establishments all over the country and these folks take the prize for a cool and absolutely unique operation. As you park in the giant parking lot you’ll gaze at what looks like a modern warehouse. I didn’t know what to expect but it wasn’t this. As I walked towards the unassuming door I passed the covered drive-thru. It looked like and excellent way to grab a craft six pack or a case or two. I walked in and faced a small counter with 39 drafts behind it. This was going to be good! To the right were several tables and straight ahead was a row of glass doors holding thousands of bottles of craft beers. I must have been staring because a staff member approached and offered me a free pint of beer while I wandered this amazing facility. So what’s the deal? If you came to drink the drafts you peruse a list on the wall and order by number. You pay for each glass separately and then sit at one of the tables to enjoy. There is a flat screen TV and a limited bar food menu. You don’t come here for the food. The beer is the star of the show. There is no bar here, just tables and I did miss that. If you came to by six packs you can mix and match among dozens of choices for $ 14 a six. There are two doors of more expensive specialty beers treated separately. If you live within 100 miles of Chambersburg and are a beer aficionado, make plans to visit soon. You won’t regret it!

This is a great place to both go have beer and to go buy your beer! There selection of craft brews on tap(30 of them) and in stock are great! They allow you to make your own 6 pack of select craft beers($ 14 — so a bit steep) and they also have your standard mass market products in fact you can get them at the drive through. They do have food mostly hot dogs but I do not think this is a great place to go to eat. But take advantage of their tasting flights(4 or 6 of them are available). Wednesday are often tasting nights for some brewery or type of product. And in the summer Fridays are often concert nights! If you are nearby you have to get your beer at Good-to-Go it is a great addition in Chambersburg!

A very good place to sample a large variety of beer at an affordable price. The atmosphere is lacking, but if you just want good beer and some simple food stuff, I highly recommend it. They have an extremely large selection of all kinds of imported and micro-brewed beer to be mixed and matched in 6-packs.

Good beer but horrible staff. I was asked to leave for having my chihuahua in a closed pet stroller OUTSIDE when no one else was around… And we had already asked permission to bring the dog along(again, outside only) on a previous visit and we told«absolutely, not a problem». We were treated like criminals when we sat outside and my hubby went in to order beer… The employee immediately told my hubby to «get the dog out of here» even though he explained we had already asked to have him outside. After that, it took 3 weeks of emails and 2 phone calls to be removed from their mailing list! Regulating the outside of your store(where people can still smoke) to dogs in a closed carrier and treating us like crap??? No thank you!!!

Great place to go when you want a top tier beer quickly, in a good, clean and bright atmosphere. Build a six pack options include domestic beer starting at around $ 10, malturnatives at about $ 12 and imports and micros at about $ 14. They also offer growlers up to 64 oz of anything they keep in tap, which is a relatively large selection. They also serve food, mainly hot dogs of various types, and general bar food. Over all, you really need to go for the beer, the food is just the icing on the cake.

What can I say this place is the best place to get any beer that you want /desire in Chambersburg. They have numerous beers on tap, growler fills, growlers that you can buy, singles(I think) 6 packs«build a 6 pack» and cases, and a drive through as well. If you have a question about a beer the staff is very knowledgeable and they have a laptop there signed in to . They do have some food items as well. I haven’t tried any food there yet. Best place in Chambersburg to buy beer hands down
