Hook & Line has been recommended to me by every guide and private fisherman I have known in St. Bernard Parish.
Owned by the Macaluso’s, a husband and wife who’ve served the Chalmette community for decades, the shop carries a full line of hunting and fishing equipment, clothing and supplies. Hook & Line is a one-​stop fallback for sportsmen who forget things; a last-​minute source for those who travel a bit too light; and a repair center for those who are just unlucky.
Hook & Line offers reasonable prices (check out the «bargain table» set up in the middle of the shop), and as a bonus, information and advice are provided to the respectful, unobtrusive sportsman, free of charge.
